I considered getting stuff, but thought i shouldn't bother, since Homebrew should have me covered.

Are there any people familiar with Wii homebrew that thinks there's must haves from the Wii Shop Channel that can't otherwise be gotten through homebrew means?

You say that as if buying something off of it isn't the stupidest thing a person could do considering how long Homebrew and Wii WADs have been around.

I thought this shit died already?

I transferred all my stuff to the Wii U like 5 years ago. Then modded my Wii so I can play everything anyway.

Will this be on it? I can't wait for more Elite Beats or Bouncer. But this game specifically I'd like to talk about.

>Nintendo drops support for its console completely
>Only piracy continues to support it
>Nintendo still goes after the pirates
Sad.

twitter.com/Palushina/status/974715123062460416

I’m just going to .wad everything. I’m not spending serious money on stuff that’s tied to hardware

At this point literally everything on the shop channel has been pirated and can be gotten through homebrew, maybe not the wifi connection stuff though.

Online play was shut down years ago. The store is only just now going down.

If you have a Wii U that means you have an NNID. If you have an NNID that means Nintendo knows what Wii games you own through that NNID. Nintendo won't let you transfer two of the same Virtual Console game to the Wii U. It'll delete all but that game(s) in the transfer. Once you port over your Wii games they get linked to the NNID.

>yfw it got to the download screen and Luigi showed up for the first time
I might've been Wii60 but getting shit off the Wii Shop was the only time I actually bothered seeing a console actually download something all the way through.

When they drop support they no longer want the platform to be viable so of course they go after pirates

>Paying for games on two of the most easily hackable consoles

I hacked my Wii back when I was a kid in high school, can you really not figure out how to put files on an SD card?

What are morals?

I've had my wii hacked since the christmas I got it in 2009 and I never once bought a single game for it, but I kinda feel like it now that this is my last chance.

I thought it ends in 2019

It does, but you can't add anymore Wii points after March 26.

Morals won't get you Doc Louis' Punch-Out.

The date to redownload or buy games ends on January 30. But the date to redeem Wii Points is in 4 days. March 26th is the last day. After this your only option will be to beg for "gifts" from someone who has Wii points.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=4Y_D6koUbWI

Wii points will become a rare commodity. What is now a dollar of wii points will become 5. This a new age of scalping.

I've always wondered just how many wiis out there are unmodded versus modded ones.

I wish they still sold those points cards years ago. And it kind of defeats the purpose with the nes and snes classics.

Can't you just install this shit with the homebrew channel and some wads?

With 90 million pre-installed modules to boot, scalpers becoming the de facto provider for a console's intended function will allow them to satisfy their customers with greater ease than before.

It's about getting the games legitimately. The service is shutting down. After that, homebrew is the only way.

Can't you like, inject new roms and other cool shit with homebrew, though?

Where can I find the wads for the Rebirth titles among other things?
Hell is there a complete VC/WiiWare library out there?

which episode is that

Well, yeah. But there are people who only care about getting stuff the legit way.

wait what? i thought this wasn't shutting down until next year

You can't redeem Wii Points Cards after next week or something

Reminder some of the 21 N64 games never came over to Wii U. These include: Cruis'n USA, Pokemon Puzzle League, SUPER SMASH BROS., and Bomberman Hero The Wii U replaced these with: Donkey Kong 64, Excitebike 64, Harvest Moon 64, and Bomberman 64 respectively. If, no WHEN, Nintendo does make a N64Mini, they surely won't include all 25 games. Especially since Pokemon Puzzle League and Smash Bros. have FMV which will look awful in HD. And there's no incentive to update Cruis'n USA. New Nintendo fans don't remember that game or what a big deal it was to have it on console.

thanks my dude, big kisses

I modded my wii and i was able to get almost every wii shop game so i'm satisfied. man the wii is such an underrated console.

What is your sd card?

That's what WADS are for.

Put that and the remix on my USB Loader GX playlist

youtube.com/watch?v=hBzfpsEyqeU

Along with the REMake Save Room theme, the Super Metroid theme from Other M and some demo disc music from Gamecube and PS1.

Really should add some Animal Crossing music on it or something.

5gb but i have a 50gb flash drive. homebrew channel

Does the music still play if it can't connect to the internet? The death of the legitimate Wii Shop music would be notable.

If the system isn't supported and you can't even purchase the games digitally for it because they even shut the store down you shouldn't feel guilty. They literally don't want to take your money anymore

Those sizes literally dont exist m8.

>tfw still no data recovery to restore a deleted Pokemon Ranch save where I had 482 Pokemon put in there that will be gone forever
Why is flash storage so hard?

I homebrewed my Wii so I didn't need the Shop. Sad to see it go though, lots of fond memories.

if you had your data saved to an sd card, you could try recuva

I used to play the fuck out of Bomberman Blast, Excitebike World Tour, and Onslaught

RIP Hudson ;_;

>morals
I agree most pirate fags on Sup Forums are obnoxious faggots but the console and it's digital games are going to completely lose all their support, meaning you will not be able to give them your money for those games no matter what.
This is one of those specific cases when piracy is justified.

>If you got Fire Mario you could press A or 1 to shoot fireballs

Good shit.

Also
>DSiWare shop
>download game
>Super Mario Bros 2 style characters come and drop data into a box

I miss this.

Fuck you for giving Niggergunner a click.

Go to . I forget what thread, but it's definitely within the game threads.

How do I get homebrew?

why are you asking Sup Forums when so many simple guides can be found on google
