Just got through with Furi except for the Star and had a great time. Curious to know how y’all would rank the bosses in terms of both difficulty and enjoyability
Also, regarding the story; the rows and rows of Rider-esque units in the space station seemed to imply that either the Rider is a mass-produced scout, but the Star’s dialogue implies he’s quite special and valued by them, so the idea he’s one of thousands seems unlikely. Was there some Automata-esque explanation for his regeneration abilities? Were they teleporting him a new body when each one was destroyed or something?
I just beat Furi last night. Well technically, I got to the final boss after credits but it keeps kicking my ass.
Kayden Carter
Exactly where I am. I just found out the charge shot is different in that stage and is really useful on phase 3. Gonna try it this evening.
Connor Baker
I can get through Phase 1 pretty easy now that I learned you can parry the little ships. Phase 2 I get halfway through but once I destroy 1 arm I get fucked up by the second.
Camden Lopez
at least the music on that fight is great
Jonathan Collins
Oh definitely, gotta grab that soundtrack. I also love the music during the credits as well.

Difficulty Burst > Star> Bernard > Line > Song > Flame > Scale > Edge > Strap > Chain > Beat I played this for a month and a half straight so I rated them by the ones that caused me to choke and fuck up runs the most. The hardest for a first playthrough has to be the Line though. Favorite is Bernard, least favorite is the Song.
As for the story I think the Rider was special, some kind of scout who was way stronger than the other ones. Star sends him to check a planet, he comes back and they send everyone else to assimilate it. He straight up cannot die, that's why they threw him in that prison.
Is it worth paying for the DLC? I'm not sure $4 is worth two extra bosses, especially if one is made from the movesets of previous ones.
Yeah, the Line was agonizing first time.
Logan Thompson
>Scale >hard I've played through the whole game twice and beat the Scale on the first try both times

What I don't understand is hy the fuck bunny made the prison so if you kill the jailer the door opens, instead of having it shut down all the time

I do hope you guys will continue on Furier difficulty after you manage to beat the Star. THAT is the moment you 'beat' the game.
Difficulty (Furi) Star > Burst > Edge > Line > Scale > Flame > Song > Hand > Strap > Chain > Beat
Difficulty (Furier) Star > Bernard > Burst > Beat > Scale > Line > Edge > Song > Flame > Hand > Chain > Strap
Likeability (Bernard not included as he isn't a 'real' character unlike Flame; without that caveat he'd be second): Edge > Line > Burst > Star > Song > Hand > Strap > Chain > Scale > Flame > Beat

>He doesn't like The Beat She's cute and sweet and has a very nice ass
I’ll consider it, but I’ve got quite a backlog. I enjoyed my time and don’t feel like prolonging it to do a NG+ sort of thing. I’m playing for the experience more than the achievement or difficulty. And unless the story, music, and movesets/animations change substantially in Furier, I’m not sure it will be worth the time investment. Seems like an NG+ where everything is balanced against a veteran player instead of the crazy spikes and drops of Furi difficulty. Am I wrong?
Why do you like the Star as a character? And why hate the Beat? She was very pitiable.
By likeability I ment more in "how much I enjoyed the fight" rather "how much I liked the character". If it was the latter then Beat would be the best girl easily (with Song being both worst girl and worst character).
Juan Brown
Song was kinda good looking, but her voice made her too much manly Also, her being a double faced cunt doesn't help Burst was a great girl but you don't see her and her head seems to be rather fucked up from artwork
Chase Mitchell
Some fights change quite a bit on furier (especially the earlier ones). Sadly, story remains the same. The fact that music doesn't change is a good thing, it's great. Speaking of music: My man! Top taste.
Jeremiah Watson
I already did Furier and beat Bernard. I am satisfied, Bernard was so fucking hard.
William Taylor
Had you not mentioned she's a double faced cunt, for a moment I would have believed you rank girls on looks alone. You know better then that user.
I mean, the moment you accept her proposal and she says "I will be hailed as hero" she went down my personal ranking faster then Lawbreakers lost it's playerbase. And it's pretty unlikely for either of those to go up.
Keep it up! Now just speedrun achivement and you can say you did it all! Just kidding - fuck the achivements.
Christopher Jenkins
It's also implied she was the one who organzied everything, so you know having a sadist fuck torture you every day was her idea
Levi Brown
Speaking of the whole setup of the prison system, I’m a tad curious about the scene where you enter The Voice’s room and he teleports in with a beam of light, then is surprised to see Rider there.
Like, who else could it have been? Do the jailers move between rooms and visit each other? Did a proximity sensor go off in The Voice’s room and he came to see who it was?
Also, I'm curious what his fight would have been like. Is he weaker than The Beat? It probably would have been completely environmental with him manipulating the prison to keep you away.
Elijah Clark
I don't remember him being surprised and all that stuff But I doubt he would have ever fought, he would probably just have gone down, he himself says he needed Rider because he was a fighter and he most likely couldn't manipulate the prison
Ethan Wright
i really struggle at playing this game on furier, but somehow listening to metal gear rising ost while playing turns me into a pro is this the power of rules of nature?
To control how he would escape. Killing The Chain alerts every other guardian that hey, Rider's coming and he's pissed. Also giving him that path makes sure he doesn't try and jump off the edge in desperation, probably landing on the planet who-knows-where and taking out a few urban centers before he gets recaptured.
To delay him as long as possible. After every loss, he has to regen and walk back, we just don't see that in game. Again, giving him this path to freedom ensures he doesn't do something unpredictable in desperation.
Final, tricky reason: To prepare him to fight The Star. It's possible the prison was a calculated gamble to get rid of the mothership. The humans, are likely aware of the mothership's presence even if they weren't when the rider came down. They might have listened to The Line's predictions and resolved that the only was they could actually defeat the mothership was by using the Rider, and designed the prison to convert Rider to their cause.
Jaxson Myers
I think it's one of the best track in the game because of how accruately it conveys what's happening. At the same time heroic for The Beat, scary for Rider being the end of the world, a bit of sadness because The Beat will lose the fight but with a faint of hope in the end because maybe Rider will open his eyes and turn against the Star.

Texans are niggers?
Charles Taylor
furi wasn't difficult, just tedious >duhhh repeat this thing >ok now repeat this thing + this thing literally the dark souls of simon says
Ethan Rodriguez
The jailers most likely can move between rooms. The Hand talks about "bringing you back" and I assumed this to mean he would put you back in the initial cell and return to his post, so jailers would have to be able to move both ways.
Chase Howard
Furi's OST should pump you up enough already, except on shitty scale
