No, seems like the last four people on the dev team are furiously holding onto the """"storyline"""" that got entirely mishandled and ruined post-MvM.
The most recent in-game update and comic made no sense.
Hopefully they leave the story unresolved and in ten years after Gabe Newell's death, Valve will make a Team Fortress 3 and resolve the story in a way that pleases a good amount of people but ultimately is pretty lackluster.
