What is the best game in the Assassins Creed franchise in your opinion ?
My vote goes to Black Flag, probably because it's really barely even an assassins creed game, also has the best protagonist out of the series

The important part isn't that it's barely an AC game. The important part is that it has variation. You're not holding a button to automatically parkour and doing QTEs to win fights all the time like every other AC game. That part is okay too but it needed variation

also visuals with some actual fucking color in them

Black Flag and Origins are the only AC that managed to replicate AC2's feel

Black Flag for sure, Edward was the most real character of the series and the whole open ocean and piracy was a legit good and fun addition.
2 and brotherhood were pretty good too

Rogue, really intense and heartbreaking story, the perfect way to connect black flag and III, ost is beautiful and Shay was really likeable

III had the greatest amount of variation in the series.

No, but Origins does.
Plus, Origins is also god tier.

I don't think there's a single game that is the best in terms of everything. AC Unity had one of the best protagonist this side of Ezio, but his character and the characters around him, along with the story, are completely underutilized. And the ending shits the bed completely.

Unity also had the best gameplay when excluding Origins. Black Flag had the best side characters and the story is actually not terrible for the majority of it.

Origins is the best in terms of having side content you actually want to do. But like Unity, it shits the bed with a massive cunt character and an ending that's about as satisfying as smashing two rocks together.

Revelations is one of the few AC games that actually had a good and conclusive ending, so it deserves props for that.

Put Origins in God tier, take Black Flag down a level, move revelations to at least mid tier and then it's fucking perfect.

AS an assassins creed game, 2 and 3 have my vote
but as a game in the series, black flag for sure, great pirate game, passable ac game

Wait, jesus christ, I just now noticed Syndicate is in FUCKING MID TIER

Syndicate should be in no tier except shit. I take back my corrections, this tier list can't be salvaged and you should dunk your head in a vat of acid for putting Syndicate in mid tier

Switch Ass Creed 1 with Brotherhood and this is the most accurate list for this series to date.

syndicate had pretty nice environment but it was kinda shit

When I played it back in 2015 I remember thinking it was just ok. I liked the addition of the rope launcher since you could set up some nice aerial assassinations with it.

I'm currently replaying every Assassin's Creed game and I wrapped up Revelations around three weeks ago. Taking a break before replaying ACIII. DESU I've been thinking of moving the first game up to mid tier and kicking Syndicate and Origins down to low tier. I'll wait to collect my thoughts once I'm done replaying all the games before I make a new ranking though.

origins has a seriously boring story in my opinion

Assassin's creed is a bad franchise

Just watched DF video on Rogue remaster on current gen consoles. XBX and PS4Pro run it at 4k30 with visuals that look like the PC version with some minor tweaks like better LOD and wave simulation. It's a shame they can't even hit 60 fps on a several year old game

>revelations in god tier

it's also the most unresponsive game I've ever played

Old Ezio is fucking great character, for sure my favourite from all games. TD minigame was stupid, though.

>2 and brohood in low
>3 in mid

It's on sale right now bros. Is it worth it? Should I pull the trigger?

you should set the sail if you understand my meaning mhm yes, quite

Memehood better than la revelación

>Old Ezio
>Kills an innocent man
>Ah, I am but a messenger for Desmond!
kys desu

>probably because it's really barely even an assassins creed game
Roughly half of the game is an Assassin's Creed game, which is a shame because those parts are garbage. The swashbuckling pirate adventure was fantastic, but it was dragging around the Assassin's Creed franchise like a shackle. Every story mission was tailing someone; "Tail this guy," "Tail this guy while staying inside of this circle," "Tail this guy while you're both in boats," "Tackle this guy you just finished tailing." It was a fucking chore to get through the campaign, which wouldn't be so bad except you have to play through the campaign to unlock all of the pirate stuff.

It really felt like the devs wanted to make a fun pirate game before Ubisoft forced them to make an AC game, since the metanarrative this time around is about a guy who works for an evil French Canadian video game company, and the game starts with a random pirate murdering and wearing the clothes of an assassin; almost like it's a metaphor for the entire game.

2 was better than Brotherhood, since Brotherhood was just 2 with a bunch of superfluous bullshit.

>not getting it when it was free

Unity > Origins > BF > Rogue > 3 > AC1 > Ezioshit

>also has the best protagonist out of the series
Unfortunately true because we never got a Haytham game.

Yes. The franchise as a whole is mediocre

>There are people who think 4 is better than Rogue

Attached: 1506776258289.jpg (250x162, 8K)

good: 2, Brotherhood, Black Flag
mediocre: Revelations, Rogue, Unity
awful: 1, 3, Syndicate, Origins

I'd probably go with AC2 as my favorite. Likable protagonist, good locations in terms of visuals, variety and parkour. Good shit.

Rogue was just too short, but if you dislike playing the main missions on both games I guess that's an improvement. Rogue was a really good fusion of III and IV, though.

>there are people who have played all of these games in order to formulate a tier list

Assassins Creed 2 is my favorite videogame of all time. I do not claim it is the best game of all time or even the best game of the series, but for me it’s the most cohesive experience of a great game that appeals to me on every measure by which I judge a game.

>finally get my pirate ship
>sailing out of the bay into the sea
>some fagtard hacktivist wants me to wonder around a fucking office doing work for him while he calls me retarded
>the scene loses all momentum and I never touch the game again

It's fucking awful, it should've just been a pirate game.

>instead of the caribbean to explore, have two smaller, shittier maps
>always too windy and stormy to get to hear an entire shanty
>Shay is a winy, annoying twat
Nah, brah.

AC2, Brotherhood, Black Flag and Origins are the ones i like the most. The rest range from meh to total shit for me. Looking forward to the rumored ancient greece game coming next, probably using the origins formula which is okay with me. I hope you get to play as bayek's wife.

Currently playing it. Amazing how this game is the greatest pirate game ever

I like Rogue the most. It's like Black Flag refined and condensed.
