A. Shilling on Sup Forums has provably resulted in more sales B. Paying people to shill is so cheap and done in such large quantities that even if there is no provable increase in sales it'll just keep happening. Kind of like when you get mail from televangelists with a salt packet inside asking you to sprinkle it on and mail them exactly $11.34 for your dreams to come true. Sending out all that mail and salt to millions of people costs money, but they few people that buy into it more than make up the cost.
