Who cares about a headphone jack, how about an actual working d-pad?

the switch itself doesn't so why would it?
also I hope you guys don't care about analog triggers, you're not getting f-zero anyways :)

There are more f zero games on consoles without analog triggers than with, not even counting GBA games

There's not even a 3rd party controller with a headphone jack. Why not?

Also digital fucking triggers. And why do the buttons feel mushy? It feels like a tiny layer of rubber is on every button.

controller buttons are often made with a rubber dome system. it wouldn't have to make them feel crappy but it can

This.
So many blade combos in Xenoblade 2 ruined by the pro controller's shitty Dpad.

I like the more tacky feeling of the joycon buttons. Pro Controller is just entirely coated in rubber.

Ever heard of the right analog stick?

Where are the mechanical controllers.

That's not a Dpad.

>you're not getting f-zero anyways
DELETE THIS

why do you want to talk to children, faggot?

>paid 150 dollars for the special edition xenoblade pro controller for the fixed Dpad

Worth it

>150 dollars
lol you paid a scalper you dumb 'tard

Would the headphone jack on a dualshock work if it's connected to the Switch with one of those adaptors? I'm guessing not, but curious.

Because the ps4 controller is better.
kys

does anyone have this one?

I really want one of these. I bet the dpad is better. Also it's slimmer. A hybrid between pro and joycons. wireless/vibrates/works on pc/android/switch

It wouldn't.

Maybe if more than a 1/3 of games released used a d-pad seriously then they'd give a shit

apparently their adapter allows you to use xbox controller on the switch?

Attached: DYYxOLyVAAAces_.jpg (1200x800, 241K)

No, but it's analog.

>>>>
The dpad isnt much better anyways. Pushing the sides of a dpad button still fucks the input

Yeah, but there's no reason to get one of those over the Mayflash.

>What is virtual console
Dumbass

>paying for the 7th rerelease of ancient games
Yeah, he's the dumbass.

How else are you going to play them portable retard?

Switch isn't powerful enough to handle all the multitasking capabilities that the PS4 can. It doesn't have enough processing power, it doesn't have enough cores, it doesn't have enough memory.

It's a fucking tablet. The fact that it can play 7th gen-ish games at all is frankly quite amazing.

You could just use a bluetooth headset if they would just make one. Stupid nips ans cant off what xbox live did in 2002

oh?

what controller works best for games?

For an actual semi-technical answer, they use standard bluetooth technology to connect to the Switch and the fact that joycoins are two separate controllers that can be used in tandem for most applications means having another device going over bluetooth causes issues potentially.

The time this is most noticed is wireless Mario Kart, where joycon pairs are not a valid controller configuration.

i hear this adds input lag

Apart from being cheaper and looking better?

its hardly noticeable unless youre playing with charts and graphs scrolling on your screen in real time.

of course it does.

i just want analog triggers(for racing games) and a headphone auxiliary input.

Why is that so hard?

they want to have a high barrier to using voice chat because they want to have something to point to when people want voice chat, but they don't actually want most of their users to use it. nintendo wants to keep the image of a disney-like hugbox without bants and harassment but it won't last if all players can actually hear each other.

>Why is that so hard?
because nintendo is run by old crackpots who dont know technology.
they just recently figured out how the internet works.

one of my triggers is a lot looser and wiggles more than the other one, along with being more clacky if you press it dead center
should I be worried?

It's on the console. Get some good headphones with a decent sized cord already.

A battle not worth fighting. Kids these days have unrestricted access to the internet at age 4.

you can fix the dpad functionality with a little bit of tape on the sensors

I game on a 60 inch TV that I have to sit a few feet away from - wired headphones won't do the trick.

extension cables.

I got one. It's a pretty solid controller all round. And some retro receivers. (For my snes classic but they work on a bunch of other consoles and controllers and PC too. Cheap also)
I like how it has opened up my controller options.

Dualshock 3 or 4 would be the best, as that has gyro aiming.

>got the xeno 2 controller for christmas
>now it's worth 150+ dollars
what the fuck happened

just get an aux bluetooth adapter and hook it up to your tv.

As I said, get some decent fucking headphones with a good length cord on them.

It's a $5 difference, and it performs worse.

I'm reading that the Switch supports wireless usb now?

youtube.com/watch?v=4hHiKpXG698

wait the xb2 controller is HOW expensive now

Attached: Screenshot_20180322-163554.png (1440x2560, 340K)

Glad I got mine when I did.

Yes it does a bit. But you have to remember that its a sort of bluetooth translator.
It works with 8bitdo/wiimote/wiiupro/switch/ps3/ps4 controllers because all of these controllers are bluetooth. (The microsoft controllers can't seem to join the party as far as I know because microsoft do some weird sort of buggery with their wireless controller signals)
It then emulates Dinput/Xinput as to where its needed. It's a rather cool accessory honestly. It doesn't work with all consoles and combos as far as I know.

nigger f- zero is literally out since day one
its called rmx now

That's WipEout though.

pls respond

What? The d-Pad on the Wii U is one of the best. The Switch pro controller doesn't have the same?

youtu.be/JcfUiExXwJk
don't listen to niggers who claimed the xeno 2 edition fixed it either

>The Switch pro controller doesn't have the same?
Nope, unlike the other Nintendo dpads, it doesn't have a nub in the middle to prevent multiple inputs at once. So it soergs out thinking you've pressed multiple directions at once. Shits really annoying.

Why does it perform worse?

I don't know, it was one of my favorite features of the Wii U gamepad.

Ah right. Just realised the black dongle and the brick ones are different.
Brick one uses usb and supports xbox one controllers. The black wiimote connector style one currently doesn't. (The one I got)

Battery lasts 5x longer than dualsuck 4.

Dualshock 4 has a proper D-pad and analog triggers.

>d-pad
so just stick to the joycons

I still dont understand what the plus and minus buttons are for

...Joycons are worse. They don't even have a D-pad.

where is the d-pad on the ds4?

On the left, above the analog stick.

Ok handlet, enjoy your meme analog triggers that break and get stuck and your decinigrating analog sticks on your dualshit 4 with a battery charge of 3 hours.

Attached: 6AA1E55A-35AE-4855-A20F-B79657BE453E.png (540x298, 172K)

Enjoy your shitty D-pad.

I'm truly disgusted by the build quality of the Switch and I don't know why more people don't talk about it.
Nintendo always had great D-pads, how the hell did they fuck this one up so bad despite the price of the controller?
Also my left joycon wobbled backwards and forwards and bends at the connection. My right joycon detaches with minimal force, without pressing the release.
I don't hate the Switch but how did this shit even make it beyond QA?

I want to get one of those controller dongles for the Switch, but I had a question maybe one of you could answer. I'd be using my DS4 on the Switch, and maybe even PC, but I would still use it on my PS4, and I would say I play all three systems fairly evenly and regularly. Would I have to re-pair/sync the controller with each system every time I want to go from playing Switch to PS4?

start and select

Same reason the switch is unable to stop outputting hazardous wireless signals when docked. Because it's shit.

Those are the directional buttons.

Attached: PS4 User's Guide DualShock 4 wireless controller.png (820x1117, 131K)

I will, about twenty times as long in fact :^)

What the hell do you think the D in D-Pad stands for, you stupid motherfucker? I'll give you a hint, it's not actually "digital."

They're connected underneath. The left Joycons "D-pad" isn't.

No you won't. DS4 actually has a functional D-pad. And what's so bad about charging it? Too lazy to get up and plug it in to the system?

>All these idiots who don't know you can do a shell swap for the joycons with a proper D pad

The left Joy-Con does not have a D-pad. It has directional buttons.

Attached: Nintendo Switch Joy-Con specifications.png (773x1065, 147K)

if you press a button on the d-pad, you can see the other buttons raising proportionally and you can't press multiple at the same time. so they're not separated like the switch's "d-pad", which are no different than face buttons.

it's not fucking rocket science.

You know what I mean. The DS4's is more traditional, the Joycon's isn't.
