Even as a "kid", I was the most fond of SH1, no matter my momentarily SH2-fagging phase.
Siren series never clicked with me, and I played them all for the 1st time during this 2010s. They just have way too many bizarre, clunky and even annoying design choices and technical problems.

Right now there's just too many people working on one game for it to have the same focus. Which is partly the budget and partly just no one knows how to properly manage a games development. When FF14 1.0 first came out they just let everyone do whatever the fuck they wanted and they wound up with potted plants that were better textured than characters and lagged the shit out of peoples characters.
Along with a slew of other problems, most of the issue just seems to be management not knowing what the fuck they're doing along with throwing dosh at a project demanding a deadline.

On PC, it's been mostly AA and "mod-games" that have kept me in gaming for the past... decade actually.
People like Croteam, with their games like Serious Sam and Talos Principle, make games with 0.5 million dollar budgets, and sell fucktons + get GOTY awards left and right. All while their games tend to look, play and feel way better than most generic AAA trash.

I used the latest widescreen fix there is, and it remedied it for me. I've never really cared of the 60 to 30fps jumps though.

Mostly just being a shitter, since the developers don't say for certain. Anything not explicitly said by them in interviews is just a personal reading.
However, it's my interpretation of events, as a pregnancy scare might have been what motivated Heather to try and get her act straight, for the sake of her religious, 2 good for dis world dad. Her getting pregnant paired with who she was is what was the catalyst for the cult trying to find her. After all, for a girl open to leaving a lot of skin exposed, it sure is odd that she covers up her torso with a kind of puffy vest.

The first person jumpscare part seen in P.T. was going to be the game over screen where you can recover your stuff for example.

It's not explained, but it's likely a demon baby that was always inside her from the moment she was born in Silent Hill.
For example the otherworld appears outside of Silent Hill in SH3, so either Claudia had the power of doing that(the tarot card high priestesses implies this) or the demon baby was getting stronger and managed to pull that off.

SH3's puzzles are famously fucked. I recommend hard combat difficult for the games, but medium puzzle. 1 and 4 don't have the option, though.

The puzzles in SH2 are fine on hardest, but the puzzles in SH3 are a bit different.
For example, on Easy, a puzzle might require basic spatial awareness when looking at a clue, a puzzle on Normal may require some spatial awareness and numerology, and a puzzle on Hard may require abstract thinking where you gleam the positions of Mars and Jupiter relative to each other from the ingredients list on a can of baked beans. I'm not exaggerating, they are honestly that abstract.

I think overall things changed a lot, it's not like they just changed an '80s small town setting to an sci-fi futuristic setting and just keep going with the same idea in mind, but when Kojima comes with a new idea he usually uses them no matter what and the game over intersection was clearly originally for Silent Hills, during some Silent Hills interview he mentions the game having some specific first person part.
