There are dumb plebeians on Sup Forums RIGHT NOW that don't think Sound of the End was the best song on Nier Automata's...
Don't worry user it's my favourite track aswell.
>the way it plays alongside Bipolar Nightmare in the final Tower sequence
I love this game so much bros.
>transitions into Vague Hope in ending D for additional feels
>then into Weight of the World
>then into The End of YoRHa with choir kicking in midway through
The finale was just insane.
That's a weird way to say Bipolar Nightmare.
>The piano and the vocal segments that kick in during A2 part
>climb out of sewers
>enter amusement park
>youtube.com
>that transition to the calm version when you're in the back alleys
The tracks alone were great but the actual use of them in game was 10/10, fit the locations perfectly.
You guys have some wonky ass autocorrects, since what you clearly meant was "Blissful Death" and "Copied City."
Piano starts when the game switches to 9S from what i remember.
Vocals starts playing during one of the switches back to A2.
Absolutely breathtaking.
>Ko/Ro-Shi are reflecting on the fates of machines and androids over the course of a battle
>Ro-Shi already mentions their idea of soaring in the sky
>the whole battle between the 4 of them is what has triggered the enlightenment of machine network and its desire to break free from the conflict
this
Copied City was the best with Sound of The End being second.
>Implying the best one isn't City Ruins/Shade
I'd agree if Wretched Weaponry didn't prove for a perfect tie with Sound of the End.
I tried replying with a clever "I think you meant x/y/z" but then realised every track in the game is the best
>not Crumbling Lies
>the soundtrack to Yoko Taro destroying everything you love
>not 'become as gods'
Will there be a NA release for the piano collections?
>no mention of the Tower theme
Disappointed in all of you right now. That shit takes me to another world.
should I play the first of the nier series before automata?
Yeah, definitely. The sound design is amazing.
Visiting the amusement park for the first time was absolutely magical.
Doubt it, would be easier to just import it
>Tower Theme
My nigga
Absolutely do play NieR 1 first if you can.
The problem with Become as Gods is that it was the same shtick as This Cannot Continue, so it was less impressive the second time around.
>both versions of City Ruins theme are tied to 2B/9S considering each other their "rays of light" and when one of them is gone there's only "shade" left
I'm glad I wasn't the only one to realise
The chanting in Become as Gods flows a lot better desu
>He played in english
jap version just sounds like jibberish
>youtube.com
This song alone gives more context to relationships of main characters than many other games manage to do with their entire narrative.
>KAMI NI
>NARU
>Gibberish
Off yourself my man
Is automata worth a pirate? Didn't care about the game at the beginning but I kept it in my ''remember to pirate once cracked'' list. Well crack came out but I kinda lost interest in this game and didn't bother.
it's worth a buy you faggot
It's worth buying full price, that's how good it is
Just a protip, you can't play the final ending with a pirated version.
>pirate
>this nigger implying he's gonna bitch about playing a great game for free
>buying games
Not but seriously, I only buy games that are absolutely worth it, preferably multiplayer ones. I'm afraid that automata is one of those cases where I'm going to regret spending money, because I listened to Sup Forums.
>I only buy games that are absolutely worth it
You've got it right in front of you user. Although if your type of game is PUBG then singleplayer games are probably not for you.
>shilling this hard
Sure, it’s worth a pirate. Maybe a 5$ bin purchase. But don’t believe the fanboys in this board. Automata is not a good game, it’s an average game with a good soundtrack, horrible graphics on anything except character models, middling plot and terrible characters.
It just so happens that Sup Forums is an echo chamber for the kind of sad motherfucker who would consider this a good story.
Good ass, though.
For my money, this has gotta be the best Nier Automata song: youtube.com
t. did not play the game and just wants to ruin the fun for everybody
The game actually teach you mechanics and won't let you pass the prologue until you git gud, that alone make it a great game in my eyes.
okay trips stealer, its actually real simple.
do you like platinums signature "beat the everloving shit out of endless amounts mooks" gameplay?
do you like easy-to-learn, hard to master, combo systems?
do you like soundtracks so well composed it will make you ruin every pair of underwear you own?
do you like whacky existential plots that arent even that hard to follow?
do you like staring at fat android ass?
if yes to any of these, its worth it
It's even more simple than that desu. If you love games as singleplayer experiences and are not a jaded piece of shit, Automata is the best game in recent history you can find right now.
>maybe a $20-30 purchase
>it's a good hack and slash/bullet hell/RPG match-up with an old fashioned difficulty curve with a great soundtrack, above-average graphics, a decent plot for what it is, and characters that range from excellent to meh
>I'm also a soyboy who had to self-destruct a lot
ftfy
Yeah, but if I don't tell everyone I'm pirating, how will Sup Forums know how I cool I am?
Wretched Weaponry is my jam
>worth a pirate
What exactly are you expending when you pirate it? Is it even possible for a game not to be worth a pirate?
>Everyone who didn't love the story didn't play it
I thought the story was good for a video game but it wasn't anything amazing. The gameplay was really boring a lot of the time too, I'd say it's worth $20-30.
enjoy getting the last ending offline.
Trying to sell it as a signature Platinum game is very inaccurate. It has more in common with the first Nier and the RPG elements matter way more than the Platinum stuff.
Some games like Mass Effect Andromeda are literally not worth the time, effort, and even the fucking bandwidth you'd waste on them. And I don't even have a download limit.
>if you didn't like this game then you didn't play it
Nice argument, fagtron. For some people it takes more than a carefully modeled ass and sub-par plot to like something.
youtu.be
I stood around listening to this for ages the first time I heard it.
You didn't kill his animals, did you?
>not worth the time
Sure, but playing the game takes way more time than tracking down a torrent. The download can be a while, but it's not like you need to sit and watch the progress bar.
Even if the game isn't worth playing, pirating it is negligible effort.
You don't present any compelling arguments either, to be fair.
Adam and Eve's theme was my favourite but whatever
im sorry but weigh of the world takes the cake, homie.
Become as gods is also catchy
The opportunity to tell people that he's pirating, because he's underage.
Dependent Weakling along with the sand storm arena, the fight against Eve himself and the hacking as 9S to see that little house with the brothers inside was unironically pretty fucking kino also
youtube.com
I'm a Wretched Weaponry(Quiet) man myself
Oh and forgot the callbacks to the Shadowlord both in Eve's final phase and in the music itself
Is that the la la la la one?
>their are plebeians that think Automata is anything higher than a 6.5/10
still Taro's best game
Leagues ahead of Drakengard "Washing Machine Noises" 1 at least
>implying listening to washing machine noises conveying the madness of the MC whilst defending your castle isn't the coolest shit
did Ko-Shi and Ro-Shi speak?
yes, during the first half of Tower ascend
it's mostly them relieving some past memories of machines but it ends up with one of them declaring that they will soar the sky so what we were witnessing is machine network shitposting internally
cool
>"Yokoo: By the way, Kaine first realized that she loved Nier during the love scene in shadowlord’s castle. -???
>Yokoo: When she kicked Nier in his stomach.
>Eishima: That…could it even be called a love scene? (laughs)
>Yokoo: It is a love scene! She realized that “Ah, I actually love this person!” when she was kicking him and beating him up! Her backing off was the girl side in her coming out.
>-It was a good scene. I could clearly see how Kaine’s brain works. (laughs)
>Yokoo: It was the most romantic scene in the game."
He's weird.
>tfw kaine will never kick you in the stomach
You are my brethren. Rushing the tower as 9S and A2 was amazing and the music was a large part of that.
