I was disappointed in PS4. Mostly because I bought a PS3 for KH3 and XIII Versus. Had nothing to play until XV's demos and hated them both so I sold the PS4. I'll probably buy another one when KH3 actually releases though

It's homegenised trash. Every game is designed to be the exact same to pander to the same audience and tries to fancy it up like McDonalds making a "Gourmet Menu" claiming everything is the "Citizen Kane of gaming" when it's fucking garbage and slipping in the exact same systems people claim to hate like loot drops and loot boxes but it's literally OK when Sony does it. Anything remotely innovative on PS4 has been done by third parties and even then their shit tier network is just eaten up. And the fanbase. Worse drones than apple. Defend every single shitty decision by Sony and want to be pissed on by them. And then shove those homogeneous moviegames on everyone else like its the only games you are allowed play. This is the worst generation and we're being constantly marketed to by the EA of bog standard, cloned "Feels" games along with two shitty racers that got the ratings they deserved but the fanbase will not shut up about because they are still butthurt about the metacritic scores.
At least PS2 era Sony had the good sense to rip off Nintendo for ideas instead of Ubisoft and CDPR.

I haven't turned on my PS4 in 3 months, but the controllers are pretty useful for PC gaming. Bluetooth makes for easy computer connect and, so far, they're pretty durable. Definitely more so than the xbox controllers ever were. And yeah, aside from my time with Bloodborne, Sony was successful in conning me into buying the best 400 dollar PC gaming controllers ever made.

Why do we always have this thread? The PS4 was a success because Sony literally always wins (as far as consoles are concerned). Look at the only time they didn't "win" (by coming in second place) and it was with the PS3. A console that had a far larger campaign blunder than the Wii U or Xbox One and it STILL sold 80+ million units which makes STILL in the top 5 best selling consoles of all time.
Guess what the other best selling consoles of all time are?
1. PS2
2. PS1
3. Wii
4. PS4 (outpacing both the PS2/PS1 easily and on set to surpass at the very least, the PS1 which would make it the 2nd best selling console of all time)
5. PS3

That's not what crippled the PS3 out of the gate, though. Weird CPU architecture, gimped GPU, and half the RAM of the 360 made muliplat games run like shit. That same CPU cost a fuck ton to make, so they charged too much for the PS3. Meanwhile the 360 had prettier games, Halo, and everyone had a free headset, so online games were a fucking party.

This gen is THE WORST. We are 5 years in, and The Witcher 3 is still the only must-own multiplat. Bloodborne is still the only must-own Sony exclusive.
The only other worthwhile games are cross-generational, like GTA V.
E3 2018 will probably change that with games like Red Dead 2 and Cyberpunk 2077, but holy fuck mate, compare this to the 5 year mark in the 7th or 6th gen.
