is it a port of 4 or its own thing
It's a quick rehash of a bunch of the story.
3DS Shinobi
but gameplay and roster wise is it closer to 4 minus master chief?
Something similar. It was basically a port of 4 to the PSP and it worked surprisingly well
If ports can count, then this one's pretty good without just being the remake.
It's esentially a DoA4 remix with all of the bosses from the series playable.
How's that New 3DS version of Ace Combat: AHL?
>Expected a worse version of Assault Horizon
>Get a badass remake of Ace Combat 2
It's nothing really different. Amiibos unlock new fighters.
Oh. How about the controls then? Since the New 3DS/2DS has more buttons and a 2nd analog num.
Hahahahahahaha!! No. Raid mode was decent tho, but that's much about it. Can't believe people paid for it.
>The fucking Probotector robots are playable
Meta as fuck.
man this was fun as fukc on local splitscreen
It looked like some left field bullshit in the store to turn a shmup series into a strategy game. It worked.
It made my dick surprisingly solid if you know what I mean.
This game saved the 3DS for me in 2011. Played the fuck out of this in that no games land. Still probably my most played 3DS games after all these years.
Worse than Rev1 but still better than the actual shit RE entries.
MOST SOLID coming thru
the fuck is up with 3DS getting all these dope ports
>Try to play it like Shinobi III
>Hate it
>Come back later and try to play it like Revenge
>It's great
>Never came to the 3DS VC
WHY DOES KONAMI ALWAYS HATE MONEY
It was pretty good, there should have been more MGS games on 2D.
It's basically all the story of DOA2-4. And then they made all the Ninjas even more broken than usual. So basically, Japan's ultimate fan game for the DOA series. Still, the fact that the 3DS could pull it off is pretty amazing. Also has one of the best "training" themes in a fighter.
Ghost Babel is the most technically impressive 2d game of the period, let alone the most technically impressive game for a portable console.
Good question.
>tfw I'm a shitter and could never beat this without cheating
This game pushed my shit in something fierce. Those combos tho.
Probably more of a "fuck you, I liked it".
>port/remake never
Didn't this have other VA?
It was the original cast.
Not letting good threads die.
It sounds strange, it just doesn't click like 64's. The gyro controls got my attention.
Pretty good horror game
Holy shit what this is a thing? The 3DS truly does have everything.
They actually add a lot of stuff. The two biggest things are that they added CPP support so you can control the camera with a second stick. And can turn off maneuvers completely.
I respect any JRPG where every single party member is equally useful and there's tons of secret shit. I also am ashamed to say I really liked finding new robots to deploy to previous bases to hunt of treasure.
It was a fucking launch title
>new messiah gets in Rebirth
>battle of the holy doesn't
IT'S NOT FUCKING FAIR
I bought the 3DS for that game. Well, also thinking Dragon Quest games would come for it eventually. Fuck you Squenix.
>DOA: Ryu Hayabusa does everything edition.
Seriously, fuck those retcons. Ryu got his victory in the second game. Let Kasumi and Ayane have their own moments.
Man, I've been wanting a sequel for years.
I like V more, but I appreciate all that IV did and feel like it's a better balanced game. V has better (and worse) elements to it, but IV is a stronger package on a whole, with many hype as fuck moments. It's also harder than V, but not quite as bullshit as some aspects of III.
The real middle finger was how they did the DLC.
it was better than rev 1 in every way.
Also Ryu gets a game breaking Hadouken that let's him win every fight.
I disagree, but Rev1 worked for me on a near idiosyncratic level. Pretty much everything that game tried, down to the settings and methods of attempted atmosphere, worked well to me. I can see it falling flat for others but it very much did not to me. I actually like it more than RE4.
Literally the best Bleach game there is and imo one of the better portable fighters, on par with Supersonic Warriors
I still hope the new big update for RB4 has it. HMX knows people want it back. I'll buy more music for it if it returned, I just can't be bothered to drag the guitar out anymore.
I'm not expecting Harmonix to do anything drastic with Rock Band. It took them nearly 4 years just to add matchmaking.
>Attack on Namek
>Never ever
Its sequel even made it better. I'll admit that the first one was pretty unbalanced, however.
Dark Souls is the sequel, Blade of Fate is the first one
I used to jerk it to the blonde titty monster's jiggling sprites.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Piracy is theft
I will never understand why the fuck they decided to call the remake of AC2 Assault Horizon after the reception of Assault Horizon for the consoles
Especially considering the only people who would be interested in an AC2 remake is hardcore fans
one of the best harvest moon games, and my personal favorite
balance board controls were fun
this, the game is fucking sick on master ninja difficulty. I just wish they didn't force that tutorial on you every time you started a new game.
Was 2spooky, but then I'm also a wimp for horror
What was this, X Command or something?
Anyone play this game before?
Was curious to know if this turned out like the DOA game or not.
Never been a huge DoA guy but I've always wanted to play this game. I wanted it to be my entry into the series. Too bad I was a poorfag back then. I never got to experience classic DOA.
This shit is harder than Dark Souls.
Online was garbage (connectivity and ranking wise) and the backgrounds were non moving. Outside of the character models for some characters the game looks worse than the PSP games
but they did?
get it, it covers the stories from doa 1 to 4 in one game.
>tfw playing the Switch version with gyro aiming
I want a Rev3 with Ashley.
>3DS got all this crazy third party support early in its life (Kingdom Hearts, competent SSFIV version, Tekken, Dead or Alive, MGS, exclusive Resident Evil, Samurai/Dynasty Warriors etc etc)
>after like 2014 it became the weeb budget JRPG game machine with nintendo games
what the FUCK happened?
Oh fuck, the Switch version has gyro aiming? Damn, I actually kinda want to pick it up now.
Also, I want a Rev 3 just because I need more third-person RE.
3D was a shittier gimmick than people realized so everyone dropped it.
Yeah. It's probably my favorite implementation of it, too. I hated how in Splatoon, the camera is always slightly shaking since it's impossible to be perfectly still. In the RE Rev ports, the camera controls normally, with gyro only kicking in when you aim your gun.
The only kicker is that it doesn't support gyro aiming with the pro controller for some reason.
>disregard game
>touch jill
Aurora borealis
One of these days I'll have to pick up the 3DS version of Sonic Generations. It has a completely different set of levels and bosses. Apparently it's only an hour or so long, though.

>In the RE Rev ports, the camera controls normally, with gyro only kicking in when you aim your gun.
That actually sounds really awesome. I might pick this up in that case. I always felt like gyro aiming was really underrated and I hated how there wasn't really anything that took advantage of it other than Splatoon. That and pointer controls.
fgsfds
They brought just two of them, and only after Yuji Horii forced them with a "mistake". There was 5-6 others they didn't bring to the west.
Bump
The urbz and The Sims for the gba are my favorite entries of the series
>expected a really watered down version of regular Sims gameplay
>instead it's more like Animal Crossing but with a plot and ending and human Sims instead of animals
I really need to revisit them at some point.
It has dlc? What's wrong with it?
Exceed never ;_;
I bought it hoping for 4 since i'd sold my 360. It scratches a bit of an itch but its not 4 exactly. A few Doa2 and 3 stages, a couple shitty new stages, and arbitrarily there are bugs that didn't exist in 4, such as some infinite combo shit with kokoro against backturned. Tag team is a singleplayer feature cause not enough buttons or memory for 4 characters or whatever, idk, and the multiplayer is essentially dead now but was pretty dead even early on, since the only real option is quick match without any ability to join lobbies or spectate.
They added a new Ninja named Shiden who i believe is hayates father, and he uses Hayate's DOA3 moveset while Hayate proper uses the DOA4 moveset minus the raijin. Kasumi Alpha also exists with one of her older movesets.
Multiplayer even when it was active and alreafy beyond shitty was made worse by the touchscreen, which had every combo and command throw on it that could be auto-triggered just by tapping it. Felt so bad to be whomping on some absolute shitter only for them to pull off some multi input command throw out of nowhere.
Also the costume selection was shit. Eliot didn't even have his Doa4 C1.
that was only surprising because X Zone 1 was somehow lackluster.
DOA3 and DOA4's training themes were better.

Kokoro's infinite also wasnt really so bad and neither were autocombos. The real shit was ninteniggers on their walmart wifi router shitting out massive lag while shooting fullscreen hadoukens with Hayabusa or just spamming Omega's lightning bolt projectiles and fire projectiles.
Goddamm Dimensions was goofy as fuck.
Dimensions was worth it just for Irene in the model viewer alone
The white girls' faces look like chinks in 4. Good thing they changed it in 5.
Dimensions was worth it to have the last game in the old style before we got down syndrome Hitomi and Barbie doll everyone else.
I could never work out how to play this properly. Could you give me some tips? I can never get past the first level in Operation Bitter Chocolate.
>completely irrelevant opinion
Kasumi makes me surprisingly solid right now, if you catch my drift.
Lets make a new rule, like reality.
You fuck up once, you lose your legacy.
By this rule, a rule in reality, Nintendo is literally entirely garbage and not worth ever being happy about, past present or future, and so is Dead or Alive.
Completely trash series. Itagaki is also trash, so is Team Ninja.
Maybe you little manboys actually do need to grow up and join reality.
