13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim

Is this shit ever coming out? I want to get naked and pilot mechs already

Shitty Darling in the Franxx ripoff

shitty anime anyway

I guess 13 Sentinels will be a shitty game.

NO

I wonder if they're regretting locking themselves to Sony. What with the rapid growth and success of the Switch.

There better be a sorceress clone in this.

Sony always wins, baby. The switch couldn't handle this game

I'll just get it for the Vita. But I would indeed much rather have it for the Switch. Say what you will about Sony, but the Vita certainly did not win.
Seriously fuck Sony's treatment of the Vita. I had so much hope in that system. And they screwed it.

this nu-jack needs more wrinkles to better emulate le never ever face

After the showing of being nude in the mechs caused people to complain. Kamitani has delayed the game to make the designs even lewder because he feels like it.
I can see this happening.

Nude images of pilots in mecha is like super classic though.
Kind of staggering to see people be upset at all. They're clearly almost completely unfamiliar with the entire genre. And yet they complain.

Man, don't even get me started on retards not even understanding basic genre concepts. Some of the reasons were that 1984-tier "it's the current year so things need to change" crap.

I don't remember anyone complaining. Most people didn't care or remember this game exists

Not here obviously, but the expected names were giving Kamitani crap again for making sexy women. Its like they don't remember what happened last time.

We can only hope. Also reminder that Muramasa came out 3 years after it was revealed and Dragon's Crown got delayed for fucking two decades. I'm fine giving them as much time as they need to polish the game, since Vanillaware is really only one of two companies I can think of who does this anymore.

We need more devs like kamitani. He clearly has fun making his games.

Do we even know what genre it is yet? I'm cynical that the 5 second segment of shoot 'em up-looking thing we saw at TGS last year is the core game. I read someone here a while back saying that a Famitsu or 4gamer article said it's an SRPG, so hope there's some truth there.

Would've been better if George didn't cave in and apologize after Atlus twisted his arm due to all the homophobia accusations pouring in.

Theoretically, couldn't they just port it to another platform later if they wanted? Muramasa first came out on the Wii after all.

It depends entirely on the contract they signed

i hope you're being ironic

Supposedly George was pissy with Nintendo after the original version of Muramasa underperformed. Don't really know why though, since I don't think they had a hand in publishing and distribution.

>Would've been better if George didn't cave in and apologize after Atlus twisted his arm due to all the homophobia accusations pouring in.
I don't remember him ever apologizing. But even if he did, it didn't seem to do anything as all people remembered was the controversy. And it helped sell tons more copies of the game.

i doubt it
wii was huge, yet muramasa on wii sold like shit
it sold much better on the vita, which is considered a complete failure here

Muramasa also sold as much as Odin Sphere. So why would he be mad? Vanillaware also made some games for PS2 and PSP which sold worse.

It looks like a strategy game possibly due to how much seemed to be moving it may be a real time one. Then again it could be a shoot 'em up or a danmaku or a hybrid game. We won't know untill we know unfortunately.

Muramasa on Wii sold 600k and Muramasa Rebirth sold 250k. Ports and remakes hardly ever outsell the original.

The apology was like the kind a sibling gives to their younger/elder sibling. The kind where its super empty and they aren't sorry at all.

>strategy

Please no, we all remember what happened last time that George was on a Starcraft kick.

A lot of people like that game. My issue with the game was the story scenes were too long. It was less of a RTS and more of a visual novel.

Source on the numbers? I could only find this on the original version

>Group Manager of Marvelous Entertainment, Tomio Kanazawa: In regards to Muramasa and Little King’s Story, it’s hard to deny that sales have been difficult for us not just in North America and Europe, but as you mentioned, also in Japan. This is probably due in part to the changing target market for the Wii; focusing away from who we may consider to be “traditional” game fans

Provide better sources then. Otherwise, you can't back up your claim that the PSVita one sold more.

Top down strategy, user, not sidescroller.

I can only theorize, but he might have been mad that Nintendo didn't support him more during development. I have a friend who was a rabid Nintendo fanboy before he started working for Midway. And he discovered that Nintendo has much higher licensing fees and makes companies pay out the nose for dev kits. Then tries to influence what markets the final product can be aimed at.

Now I'm not saying all this happened to Vanillaware. And it sounds like Nintendo has changed a lot. But back during the Wii era, third parties hated them so much they wouldn't make games even when the Wii was the most successful system. Gotta be a reason for that. Whereas now, third parties are rushing to Switch.

I still have no clue what the gameplay of this
is it tower defense or what?
that few second clip in last trailer didn't tell a thing

"Okee..."

I thought the publisher was at least satisfied with how much it sold in North America. Though that might not be saying much since they went out of business.

Vanillaware games were never big sellers anyway except for Dragon's Crown. I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to shift focus to the Switch when a lot of games are outselling on the system compared to other platforms. Depends on how "loyal" they are to Sony.

I love this game. No bully!

'Arry Po'a' knock off
