Consolefags because they can't play it on current consoles unless the Xbone can. Nintendo has never had it, PS4 has no BC. You do not the main reason for remasters is the lack of BC on consoles right?

It's not uncommon for people to trade in their old consoles at gamestop or some shit to buy a new console. The first few years of both of those systems are slowing dying. Early 360's are a ticking time bomb for the RRoD. Earlier PS3 fats are also starting to die. My PS3 YLOD on me a few months ago and I've heard many stories of other people having the same problem.

To be fair though for consoleonlyfags the Xbone/PS4 do run at 60FPS, having personally originally played DS1 on 360 it ran like fucking garbage.

I do not understand people selling old consoles, they are not very expensive to buy, and the 60 dollars store credit wont give you much to buy a new console.
And really the game didnt run well yes, but it wasnt unplayable.
Plus DS1 is so cheap on PC and requires a literal toaster to get 60FPS most people should already be able to play it

As someone who wants to get into Dark Souls, should I go with the original or the remaster?
