day 1
I never cared enough for nine no Kunis. It looks pretty but boring as shit.
What is even the appeal of the game?
>Do you miss the Ghiblimon?
Jade Cocoon?
>it looks pretty
Pretty much just that. They also have an endearing story if you can put up with JRPG pacing. Gameplay wise the first game was plagued with poor AI making the battles boring as shit, but they’ve done away with that in this game, instead making it into an ARPG. They also added some Dark Cloud type town management.
>Do you regret your purchase?
It's 7:25 in EST in America...
I never played Dark Cloud so I don't know if it is good or bad.
I’m sorry, is this not an Australian image board?
fuck this game off and go emulate Dark Cloud.
New York gets nuked in the opening scene.
Otherwise pretty much what I was expecting so far.
It’s good, but dated. I heard the second game aged a lot more gracefully but I haven’t played it.
They’re both on PS4 if you don’t want to emulate.
>They also added some Dark Cloud type town management.
>Claims JRPG pacing which is usually 30-50 hours when shit like Persona exists
Kill yourself.
First game is okay
Second game is one of the best JRPGs ever made.
Is not that good, but it is indeed a mix of Dark Cloud and mobile/browser games in which you improve the level of building already there. You get a simplified town layout that you can then build over time and add people you find in the main quests or sidequest for maximum efficiency. The higher the level, the more characters that can work there.
Like Dark Cloud, you can't progress with the main quest until you reach a certain building level so that you can make or create something to continue forward.
I'll check it out.
Thanks.
someone tell me what ding dong bell original name is in japanese
BING BING WAHOO
What are you even trying to say? I sure hope it isn't that Persona 3-and-onward's 60+ hours of social link padding bullshit is good or desirable.
TFW still no crack
I claim that bitching about normal JRPG pacing which is usually 30-50 hours when trash like Persona with it's 100+ hours of absolute trash exists is fucking retarded.
5-6 hours.
Waiting on my CE to get here. Gotta support Level 5 mother fuckers and the Dark Cloud/Suikoden vibes hooked me.
Watch them put denuvo in the last minute. I can already smell the salty tears from here.
Just give me a Dark Cloud remake instead of Puzzle man/girl games and I would support Level5
kek what is wrong with you people is there anyone here who can answer op?
Great.
No.
No.
Yes.
Is not even out yet for PC.
based pearl poster
keep being wholesome
For Ghibli fans, the standard for ni no kunis pacing isn’t other JRPGs, it’s Ghibli movies.
Alright, that's fair then.
Only the first game it's Ghibli enough though.
has anyone killed the guards at sneak part? i got down to one enemy left and died
honestly heard its probably hardest part of the game so lol
I played the first one, LOVED it. The second one isn't looking so great though.
I love the combat changes they made, but I'm not sure the game will be as fun to explore and collect without the familiars. Although I LOVED dark cloud and am very interested in the city builder system, I'm just concerned the game will fall flat for me, especially with virtually every review saying that the characters are story are bland
Pretty much every Level-5 had bland characters and story. They were charming enough that you could look past their flaws, but that's it.
Characters maybe, but I was always engaged with their stories. Dark Cloud, White Knight Chronicles, even the first Ni No Kuni, it was always interesting to see what was going to happen next.
I don't know, I feel like the price tag is a bit steep especially because theres a season pass this time around.
I post a lot of shit
>singleplayer only
>no Denuvo
>on pc
>more expensive than most PS4 exclusive games on day one
Who thought this was a good idea?
They will use the pirate numbers from this game to justify using Denuvo on every future title
White knigth Chronicles is one of the worst RPGs I've bothered to finish, and I did Quest 64.
Can I run this on a 770?
Speak for yourself, I fucking loved the world of White Knight. Didn't play through 2 for reasons that escape me, but I LOVED White Knight 1. Multiplayer was an obvious grind and cash grab, but the game world was fantastic. A large industrial city on top of a giant creature, tribal bug harvesting people, it was a great world.
The last boss I don't even think was mentioned before the last dungeon and was a character of literal importance. Max level is 40 which you will hit without even doing side quests. Custom mech locked behind a dead server so that's gone. And lastly from what I can remember a plot twist that's basically ff8's orphanage.
yes.
Last boss was also awesome looking. Server being down for the knight parts is irrelevant, didn't affect my experience when I played it at launch, don't recall the plot twist you're talking about.
I remember virtually nothing about the story, but like I said, I just loved the world.
Sweet, this is the other stuff I have.

How is the pc performance? Might get the pc or PS4 version depending on how well it's optimized. Never played the first but considering picking this up after my shift.
Your pc is good but your GPU is showing its age, you might consider to upgrade soon.
The game will run but i don't know at what settings or resolution.
Can anyone spoil this for me? What happens to Roland at the end? Does he have to go back to his world?
Is it better than 1?
I didn't like the battle system of the first game, tho it was comf overall.
Yes, returns as an old man in the limo.
TORRENT LINK WHEN
Alright, thanks! This was a prebuilt I've had for several years now. not sure what new gpu to get later on or what else is worth upgrading.
Okay, thanks.
Will this game run on a R9 280x i5 2500?
Downloading now. First game looked great. I hope i wont regret this purchase. Considering i am poorfag.
5-6 hours.
I dropped the first game because the familiars were so tedious, this looks way more my speed
Takes 2hours to get to the damn kingdom building and it's mobile tier
My life as king felt better
>That OP
steamcommunity.com
Jesus Christ, how can people this retarded exist?
It's generic weebshit made for numales. Combat is mind boggling bad, simple and insulting easy. Story and characters are stock anime tropes and don't develop at all and primarily static. What a waste of fucking time.
Xenoblade threads are on /vg/.
Unfortunatly gpu prices are all fucked up right now thanks to cryptomeming. Considering a 770gtx is still better than a 1050ti you'd better wait for things to settle down.
>generic
I can't wait till ding dong dell his royal heinny hole.
DO NO PLAY DARK CLOUD
opt right to Dark Cloud 2. The story is completely independent from Dark Cloud and is literally an improvement in every way. This is fact. It really is.
Only play Dark Cloud if you really, really like Dark Cloud 2 and want more of the same but somewhat worse and weapons that disappear permanently if they break if you can put up with that.
I still remember breaking my fucking 7 branch sword. Holy FUCK the rage.
How butthurt are you to bring Xenoblade up out of nowhere?
>ghiblishit
>not generic as fuck
Ni No Kuni is just a plain trash series. The first had terrible gameplay with retarded AI and this mindless crap is even worse "m-muh comfy!" doesn't excuse shit.
I like DC2 but lets admit the speda golfing was fucking gay and the future world was so short it was disappointing, i wanted to see more of monicas world.
Fuck you Dark Cloud 1 is comfy. It's easy to keep your weapons from breaking. A game punishing you because you zoned out and weren't paying attention to the warnings is fine.
SEETHING
>He doesn't like Spheda
The third dungeon was fucking bullshit though.
Good for you.
>I love how the ground breaks all my bones when I jump from a cliff!
This is how you sound right now.
The first game was incredibly bad and plain boring. Translation was god awful and your party was retarded.
Fuck Ni no Kuni.
Now we're talking!
The game literally warns you the weapon is going to break. If you ignore that warning and don't repair the weapon which is simple to do, then it's not a fault of the game that your weapon broke. In the same way as if you walked into an enemy and took damage and the screen flashed, then you kept doing it until you died, it's not the games fault you died. You just ignored all rational thought.
Fuck. Is this everywhere or just America? I'm from UK.
I'd fuck it all right
You guys should have a baby nap time, the game comes out in 3hrs. You don't want to be a cranky baby cuz you didn't get sleepy time.
>i-i-it's okay for the game to be complete liquid dogshit! i-its comfy!!!!!!!!
everywhere
Don't you have a plumber thread to be in?
>it's all poo-in-loos complaining about price in every discussion
Gas them all.
Having weapons break permanently was idiotic and they were right to remove it for having them be unusable until you repair them instead. Especially when a good chunk of the game is devoted to upgrading your weapons.
No one who broke their weapon by mistake in Dark Cloud did it because they "zoned out" or whatever the fuck that means.
I never mentioned comfy. You said you no like, I said good for you. It's pretty simple. Am I supposed to be moved and inspired that you a literal nobody doesn't like something? Either way I'm not, you continue not liking it.
So you didn't notice the health bar below your health bar that is for the weapon? Pretty hard to miss, but I guess when you die it's the games fault too because you can't tell when you're low on life either then.
I don't know if it will fit
All the mini games where great. Spheda was fun on certain maps but decent overall. Fishing was amazing. Crafting was amazing. Fish raising and competition was FANTASTIC.
Is the DLC weapons etc OP?
>s-s-stop criticizing my generic weebshit!!!
Just got the game. Hoping for a mix of the first game and my favorite novel of the last few years (The Goblin Emperor).
that neonhigh guy is an elitist ass 2bh
>people complained about the first being slow and difficult
>found it pretty moderate in speed and relished its difficulty
NNK2 is great, but man, do I miss getting my shit pushed in. I hope it picks up in difficulty, because I beat that first actual boss in less than two minutes.
PANTIES.
>the game is about upgrading the same weapon multiple times
>but if you use it too much you lose it permanently
>can't enjoy the weapon because you need to micro manage it or switch to other weapons
>if you fuck up, oh well
Yes, it was retarded. Removing it was an improvement.
It's a really solid port, apparently.
According to PCgamer you can play at 60fps@1080p on the highest settings with a 970.
Reminder that King Shota sticks his sword inside this tight loli pirate Kuni.
I miss the Dark Cloud/Chronicle games so much. Hoping this one will scratch that itch.
I'm not saying Dark Cloud was perfect, but to go all caps "DON'T PLAY IT" and your chief reason for that is because weapons break, which only happens if you're not paying attention, then it's a silly reason to avoid a game. Repair powder isn't even hard to have plenty of, so the only reason your weapon will break is because you somehow forgot that it takes damage.
The game isn't called Nino Cunny for no reason.
I hope someone rip her model so we can see if her clothes are removable. Maybe she has a swimsuit model too?
