cant be used in a comercial project, cant be used outside UE4
the only point in them is for indie devs to look up some tricks they've done with shaders/vfx
It can be used in your projects, that is what they always do when they release their shit free.
It is. More companies should follow suit. They also refunded the game for everyone. You won't see Blunderborn doing that.
why do you keep posting this
It's a bold move, but considering Fortnite is a runaway success and somehow pulled the rug out from under PUBG, they can literally afford to take such a small loss.
This is generous but we're talking about a company that's probably going to clock in at over a billion dollars profit by the end of its fiscal year.
Somebody probably could do a better Paragon
Boy I can't wait for these characters to appear in literally every cheap asset-flip cash grab ever.
I wonder what people will actually do with them. I can see alot of uses for the environmental textures, full models of stuff etc. I am not sure what people will do with the characters. Use them in modded ARK servers?
It’s really cool, I can’t fault them for it. An adequate show of good faith towards the people that liked Paragon. And to indie devs in general.
is Epic Games the new Valve?
More games should do that. It would catapult us into a new era of creativity, really. And initiate a burst of a lot of content.
>cant be used in a comercial project
Yes they fucking can, it's stated clear as fucking day in the Epic press release.
Why the fuck do you cunts even bother replying to threads if you can't even be fucked to read a single fucking paragraph on the topic you're oh so willing to share your shit opinion on?
This is pretty good because making or searching for placeholders is time-consuming and annoying.
Does this mean porn? Like actual graphics porn
no, valve made good stuff for a while
Be so rich with fortnite they can release asset from a garbage game that nobody play.Wow .
It helps PR, basically.
Still, i dont like the idea of a game being outright KILLED.
I know some nigga somewhere is missing it.
No because that requires riggers, animators, layout artists, lighters and renderers that know what the fuck they're doing.
And believe it or not, people with those skills have better things to do than make fanfic porn.
oh child
In most situations the game would just get shut down without refunds and the whole thing would basically be wiped from existence. While the best possible move would have been to release tools to host your own servers or the like, this is still so much better than how most companies handle these things.
Epic really handled the failure of Paragon well. They offered refunds to anyone who spent money on it and now this.
time for more shit trashware on steam all using the same assets. can't wait
gotta give props to epic
they also didn't include loot boxes in Fortnite but instead allow people to directly buy the stuff they want (though the store prices are fucking high)
