A Way Out

Is was a good game.

At first the story seems kinda bland and the gameplay are mostly QTEs, but it grows on you and it's a game that really utilizes the storytelling to it's mediums' full extent, akin to SotC and Nier Automata.
It's pretty good, yeah.

*Despite some technical fuckery and janky animations also.

>just a tier above TellTale in terms of decisions and choices changing paths
>mediocre voice acting
>those god awful shooting segments

yeah nah

It's pretty good for 40 men studio.

>no third ending

>>just a tier above TellTale in terms of decisions and choices changing paths
that's not the main point of the game though.
Throughout the game you you and your pal become two lovey dovey besties, dick around with tic tac toe and balancing wheelchairs
just to later turn it around and make at least one player distrust the other one
But yeah, the gameplay is it's weak point. It's really bland even.
Good. faggy hollywood endings are not needed.

>those god awful shooting segments
15 minutes of low-budget uncharted of 6 hours game, whoa.

>implying hollywood ending isn't cops win ending

[hammer nails intensifies]

Yeah, I played it with my buddy last night. Actually enjoyed a lot of it, especially just how it makes you bond with your partner even more up till you got classic console splitscreen deathmatch 1v1, and even the minigames were fun experiences. But I felt like people are overhyping this game when to me, it seems only marginally better than a TTG.

More like 30-45 minutes, from when you are in Mexico to the end of the game. And a low budget gameplay part being at the tail end of the experience really sours the finale a bit.

It's still a very short segment.

>15 minutes of actual gameplay that is awful in the 6 hours of mainly QTEs, pointless minigames, and cutscenes

You've lost the whole point of it, m8.

>overhyping this game when to me
Yeah, maybe you're right. I'm a total sucker for those kinds of 'subversions' like the Vincent reveal, the ending in SotC etc. Don't know the name for this faggotry, but I suppose you get the concept

Also the homages where p cool.

Probably just plot twists in general then, which there is nothing wrong with liking. I enjoyed the Point Break parachute homage, while the Scarface one seemed a bit too on the nose.

I hope this game does well so we can see more of this guy at the next VGAs

9/10 solid game

It copied the ending from splinter cell conviction coop

Well, it's not the plot twists per se, but when a game involves the player(s) in a way no other medium does. If the game would've been a single player game the Vincent plot twist would just be an ordinary twist.
But since you've played through the whole game as two happy friends the impact of it becomes stronger I feel. Or as I mentioned before in SotC when you become a colossi, and through gameplay (clunky, slow controls) get a feel for how your enemies feel.
If that makes sense.
Maybe I'm just a faggot though.

This desu

Fuck the Oscars

>akin to SotC and Nier Automata

you're giving way too much credit. ot«s nowhere close to Nier:A of SotC

This "game" would have been better of as an actual movie. It's heavy on plot but really shallow in gameplay. You spend more time pressing forward and occasionally the game throw you some random objects you can interact with but offer no real purpose.
I bet almost no one would replay it because only the story was decent.

RE6 offered a better coop gameplay than this.

this game has black people???? wtf i hate a way out now

see
I do absolutely not hold it in the same regards as either Nier or SotC.
I'm just a sucker for that thing man.

>6 hours game
is that really how short it is? is there any replay value?

Let me guess, you watched this?

It's more than enough, trust me.

yes, you think I'd play it?

no friends huh

Figures.

>Sup Forums doesn't play games

>interactive movie
>akin to SotC storytelling
I don't understand???

>watching story-heavy games that are made special for co-op
Get some friends, mate.

That's okay user.

MGS is really rich in story but i replay it all the time. The devs knew how to split gameplay and story telling form each other while maintaining cohesion between the 2.

This game has no gameplay whatsoever, as expected. There's no reason to play a second time because the important parts are the cutscenes.

>press the QTE with your friend at the same time to win the game bruh

wew lad

>what is fun in co-op game

Just got done playing this. It was good and fun until that fucking ending chapter.

I didn't get my friend to play a coop game with me for this shit. The whole point of the genre is to work together. Trying to put a spin on it with some epic random twist just undermines the whole game up to that point.

It wasn't fun, original or clever when Ubisoft pulled that shit 8 years ago either.

Fuck you Josef, ruined my day.

>Everything is a movie

This is why this buzzword is so weak, it's too overused to the point that anyone saying it just reveals what a moron they are.

Is it true buying 1 copy gives you a code for another?

Yeah.

Yeah no, its called sony cinematic game. You just played the uncharted, last of us experience.

Buying 1 copy also lets you play with as many friends you have, however the game only has 1 savefile so you have to go past it all with 1 friend unless you want to erase the other one.

For origin your friend just have to download the trial and you owning the game, you can invite him. Or vice versa

What the fuck is Julian doing hanging around with Cyrus, that fucking idiot.

I feel bad for you, you've clearly never had a decent co-op experience.

Playing through Timesplitters with a buddy is a good co-op game. This is a glorified movie with a few basic minigames.

I'm glad I didn't waste a friend's time with this game, honestly. It's a cute idea with a flawed, boring execution.

Imagine being enough of a soyboy that the idea of some friendly competition sends you running away crying. Are your friends all that much better at games than you?

The only interactive element to be found in the game were the vs. minigames, it seems weird that you'd complain about one finally mattering.

A Wiseau Out

No. It's a mediocre game at best. The combat is laughable, the 'coop' puzzles are outright insulting, and the so called 'cinematic' is so cliched, I was able to predict the ending within the first five minutes.

It's a mediocre post at best. The writing is laughable, the 'clever' tropes are outright insulting, and the so called 'critique' is so cliched, I was able to predict the ending of the post within the first second.

Brainlet

Are you seriously trying to tell me the game is not a completely average and cliched game?

Yes, I do. Any problems?

This was pretty hard to plat.
Anyone need hints?

Is there any moment as good as using the other stick to swim in brothers?

>when you don't know how to write so you just fill your game with references and homages and hope nobody notices
If you're going to make a formulaic, paint-by-numbers cinematic movie game, at least try and make the story interesting.

Is this some Uncharted spin off or something? That's clearly Nathan Drake, but I don't recognize the guy beside him.

What a pussy, did you feel this way at the end of Divinity: OS 2?

It's ok since they're all portrayed as terrible people.

yes, how do I make a friend so i have someone to play with

>Nathan Drake
>not Hugh Jackman

Are you a neet? If yes don't be.

Easier said than done.

cracked yet?

Nah, probably denuvo. Also no point, since it's 100% online game.

I'm not so sure it is.

Timeless, manage anger? No one has them and I can't find any guides

I want to play as a cute girl though...

Timeless took a while, go to the old couple's house. Think about what time means.
Managing anger is best done when walking away from an opportunity to vent your anger at the expense of someone else's wellbeing.

Got any advice to narrow down Take a Breather? We chilled on alot of benches, I'm surprised we missed it

It's not a real bench.
Forests have nice air.

Speaking of old couple's house, is there a way to get into a secret room on the stairs?

You might need an extra hand with that, but so does something else.

You are really mad about playing your favorite movie, you don't need to resort to passive aggressive name-calling.

forced co-op story driven games are never a good idea. solo with an ai would make this game at least playable for more people.

I hope we see him at E3 or something again, I miss the madman.

And also make the game considerably worse if you play with an AI.
The man seemed to actually care about his product. I'd rather have a few people enjoy my game than loads not enjoy it.
