Worth every penny, but you should try to go for the Platinum variant. You won't be able to go back to regular stereo anymore AND they support 3D audio!

I have mine right next to my sony dishwasher OP. Great stuff.

>gold
>it's black
what did they mean by this

I thought the same thing

Sony does make good audio equipment, I feel like you are paying apple tax if you buy these though

>7.1 surround on headphones.
How does that even work?

Sony makes good audio equipment when it's not playstation branded, no idea how shitty this is but they probably sound worse than the now 30 years old MDR-V6s

Simple, it’s a lie.

Comparing anything that isn't audiophile tier to MDR-V6s' is a tad unfair lol

i prefer sennheiser

>sony doesnt make good audio equipment
>doesnt know about the mdr7507's that were used in recording studios for years
damn user, you're real ignorant

Had two of these.
The first was the Elite plus model or something from a few years back. Sound and features were excellent. Downside is that build quality just above the earpiece was pretty back so I ended up breaking it on accident.

The second is the Gold wireless stereo. Compared to the older model it's pretty much worse in any way. Sliders are now buttons with shitty limitations. All shitty plastic components, less features. Personally I also had some issues with the cushions but that might be just me.

>Fun fact:
At some point in time Sony had an official app for the thing that you downloaded off the PS store but the early version would nearly brick your headset. You had to manually open it up to remove the battery in order to fix it. That was fun.

It's "Virtual" surround

It also has wires

>sony doesnt make good audio equipment
Nigga what, read my post again

Not well
Software adjusts volume and pitch to supposedly give the illusion that the sound source comes from different angles. I've never been able to tell much difference.

maybe but V6s cost less than those headphones

Yeah funny that, this thread made me think to buy a pair. They're surprisingly cheap. I paid more for my m50x's.

But apparently they have a flat sound signature whereas I prefer v-shaped. Decisions, decisions.

I've owned multiple pairs over the last 15 years, I highly recommend them. The price is great so you don't have to feel like they need to be your only cans. I've thought about getting the 7506s even though I don't need them just to see the difference. I have two working pairs of V6s currently though so it'd be a waste.

oh fuck son im a retard

Is there any wireless headset that connects to the ps4 without using a dumb dongle?

I don't have any to test with but any bluetooth headset?

I got a phillips one I use with my phone but it doesn't seem to work with the console.

You'd like to think so, but unfortunately no. PS4 can't handle bluetooth. Either wired or dongle only.

The bluetooth headset needs to say its compatible with the ps4 on the box for it to work.

Damned jewish tricks, oh well.
I forward the sound from my PS4 to my PC with an optical cable, so I just use whatever I have plugged into my computer.

That's kind of wierd, like the wireless controller is bluetooth and sound that its headphone port outputs is completely fine.

your eye is oval not a giant circle.

The perfect peripheral to use while I'm sitting comfy in my wireless gaming chair

Are there speakers in the chair? That'd work quite well for a 5.1/7.1 set up in a small space if you ask me
