Exanima right now has a decent roguelike dungeon crawler, and an arena mode that literally murders time. Holy shit I need to stop playing.

That would be insane, but it'd have to be LAN only. No way you can play with any kind of latency.

I just want the fucking update to drop, it's been more than a year since the last one.

I bought this game in 2015. It's still not done. There hasn't been an update in over a full year now. I thought this was merely the glorified tech demo for their actual game Sui Generis? What exactly is their roadmap at this point?

Hopes? here is my hope for this individual game. I hope its not dead in the water since the combat is great so was the atmosphere.

It's not, insider versions of the next patch are already floating around. But the dev team is tiny and fucking perfectionist, so it's a very slow update cycle.

I take perfectionist every day of the week over rushed trash. Any word on what is planned? Some extra gore while not needed would be dope.

I've heard rumors of being able to cut off limbs, but that might still be far off in the future. Other than that, no idea. The core entertainment for me is the combat, and that's already great. So I'm not really following what's planned for the future updates.

The combat is frustrating as fuck in the beginning, but at some point it just clicks with you. Then it goes from being drunken slugging to a kind of dance.

Really? Frustrating? I find it quite challenging and fun. I'm trying hard mode with the hard world mod. I used to go full solo, I trust my companions will have my back in this run since exp is tweaked to be much slower and pretty much everything one shots me at level fucking 10.
