But you literally have zero information until near the end of the game.
BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY
Speaking of which, I just completed Persona 5 and now I feel empty and hallow. What else can fill the void?
catherine
Play Nier Automata, then you'll feel even emptier.
I just got onto the true ending path.
Does any other Persona have a twist as stupid as "The gas station man that you saw only in the first 10 minutes of the game is the REAL real true villain behind it all!"
and people say 5 has shit pacing
Literally nothing until p6. I learned that with the wait between p4 and 5.
Nope.
>interesting final battle against a character you actually knew
>some random god thing thrown in because JRPG
>perfectly great epilogue talking to all your characters
>HAHAAAAAAAA IT WAS GOD GOD GAS STATION LADY
Not him, but I also completed those two pretty close together. Fuck. I keep getting the urge to go back and play them, but I did fucking everything in both games. Want to play P4, but I'm not about to get a portable console just for the complete edition of a single game. What the fuck do I do with my life now?
real megan twoson
GET UP
GET UP
IT'S GONNA GET REAL
(get up get up, it's gonna get real)
GET GET GET GET GET GET GET
The other Personas, or Dangit Ron Paul.
Nah, the end of P4 felt like they suddenly realised "Oh we haven't had a god boss battle yet, better make up some shit excuse for one then."
Especially since there isn't even really a reason why Izanami fights you.
>"I wanted to see if humans would reach out to the truth"
>Reach out to the truth
>"Reee 1v1 me in the TV human!"
This was such a good opening. It struck a balance, while the other ones were way too saccharine.
It has a lot to do with being inundated with media and streams of pop culture trivia rather than literal information. It's also about avoidance of difficult issues and hard truths, hence the "locked up in your mind" thing, and life goes on whether or not you wake up to those facts, so don't figure that shit out too late or you'll miss a lot of chances to change shit.
But yeah, it's definitely the most obtuse opening in terms of theme.
play vanilla and watch the new golden scenes on youtube. the only big gameplay addition is some purses and the new dungeon which isn't that impressive.
>That Teddy
Hello, Police? I'm about to commit a crime
not if you browser Sup Forums and adachi is the killer
user, I am far too autistic to get anything less than the "full game", and watching people play video games is for chumps. I'd emulate, or even buy it if it got a PS4 release.
PSTV is cheaper than a vita and you can check out some other vita games
Just get a PSTV for, like, 30-40 bucks on eBay or Amazon. You can play P4G with your PS4 controller on it. That's how I did it, and it only cost me 60 bucks for both the game and the system. It was worth it, too. P4G was better than P5.
>and watching people play video games is for chumps
I'm talking cutscenes user, new cutscenes are practically all Golden adds. The only gameplay additions are dull as shit, one boring dungeon with an sp regen gimmick.
Thank god.
Seriously, this game's story takes a fucking dive off of a massive cliff.
>This student is a fake, the real villain is the delivery man!
Whoa!
>The delivery man is just misunderstood, the real villain is the detective!
There's literally no prior evidence to this, but okay whatever I guess.
>The detective is just being controlled, the real villain is this big eyeball!
Okay...
>The eyeball wasn't the real villain either, the real villain was the creator of that eyeball, THE GAS STATION ATTENDANT!!!
...
youtube.com
>our dance is the sexiest
>the prettiest
>the teddiest there is
You were supposed to remember that Yu gets a headache after shaking her hand.
Literally no one would remember such an insignificant detail after an 80 hour adventure.
Really seems like a last minute inclusion though.
It's definitely not as stupid as people make it out to be. It's no FFIX Necron.
Good taste Frosty
Its just as bad.
Actually wait, no its worse, the big eyeball is basically Necron, Izanami is a whole new level.
>The detective is just being controlled, the real villain is this big eyeball!
That's not what it was though, Adachi was a massive piece of shit and his goals aligned with the eyeball's motive.
>one is alluded to, not only through the handshake, but Japanese mythology
>the other literally just pops up out of fucking nowhere immediately after you beat the main antagonist
Yeah, your IQ sits comfortably around 80.
>mythology
Are you talking about Edogawa's magic lectures? Because he gave those constantly in P3 and they had nothing to do with P3's final boss.
Doesn't matter. The hints are there.
Izanami and Izanagi are constantly hinted at through dialogue throughout the game. Even by Edogawa
Depends, did you like it for Story or Gameplay?
>credits start rolling
>"wtf that's it?"
not worth waiting 5 years
And actually, you're a retard, because in 3, Edogawa was teaching you how Kabbalah is evil, and every block of Tartarus has some kike name.
NEVER MORE
What, so if Zidane had some interaction with a random dude at the very beginning of the game, and shook his hand before getting a headache, it'd be alright?
No, the shit is still stupid as hell, having Necorn come out of nowhere because Kuja wished so much for death to everything is better than have some contrived random shit such as "Oh you shook god's hand at the beginning of the game and that gave you power, haha we're such good writers :)"
persona 3 > 5 > 4
You're ignoring Edogawa's hints, you retarded nigger. Stop being intellectually dishonest.
>Edogawa
Who?
Okay, so how does that hint towards Nyx being the final boss?
Edogawa Conan boy detective
If you're not going to even read the thread, you can fuck off. What are you, fifteen?
>constantly
Give examples. Edogawa is literally the only one who ever mentions it.
Not him, but edogawa does teach you about the tarot cards after school
Oh its that teacher from the class trip, what about him hinted at the gas attendant being god?
Read the thread, you helpless faggot.
Okay but what does that have to do with Nyx?
Nothing, he was brought up because he mentioned the p4 final boss in p4, you're the only one who has brought up p3.
I did, you nigger, everyones talking about this random teacher hinting at shit, but no one actually posted anything related to a hint, there's one image which is just him speaking some shit about the origin of the names for Izanagi and Izanami.
Nah the only other post I've made in this thread is this:
Nyx avatar, Ryoji, is the personification of the Death arcana turned upside down
youtu.be
Did you even play the game?
The gas station attendant only appears on rainy days and says shady shit about the midnight channel, that's foreshadowing.
The mega beef bowl only shows up around rainy days too though.
It doesn't go on and on about the midnight channel.
it's not so much about the handshake itself, more so on Izanagi's and Izanami's lore which implies that Izanami plays some role in the plot
feels kind of contrived considering Orpheus had the same backstory but Eurydice was never brought up at all
Are you shitposting or genuinely trying to defend bad writing? Are you seriously saying that a one-off event no one ever brings up again is supposed to be plenty evidence enough to tell you who the big bad is?
Yeah, I'm still in the process of playing it, who the fuck is going to pay a bunch of attention to a literal who talking about gods and shit when the only thing that has any relevance with gods is the flavortext of the personas, until the end of the game.
>the writing is bad because of x
>actually, the writing isn't bad because x isn't true
>why are you defending bad writing?
?
It's not "plenty" of evidence, but it is clear foreshadowing. Infinitely more thought than what was put into Necron. And now that you've been proven wrong time and time again, you need to fuck off entirely.
the true ending isn't the climax, it's treated as a victory lap by the investigation team to solve one last mystery before Yu leaves. Every other plot thread is resolved before that point, it's not like P3 or P5 where you don't get a proper ending to all your S-links before you go.
How the fuck is a one-time SoL event plenty of foreshadowing? If anything, such a hint about an important plot element should've been integrated into the main story.
Your first fucking persona is Izanagi and the true villain is Izanami, what the fuck are you two on? There's a clear connection.
shoulda been more specific, it's not like P3 or 5 where taking the non-true endings doesn't allow you to wrap up your S-links.
I'm not asking you to appreciate the execution, you 80 IQ subhuman. I want you to admit that Necron had less thought put into it. But you won't admit that because you ego is getting in the way because you're a retard.
Two things
1. Izanagi is such a useless faggot that you dump so early on that I wouldn't be surprised if people forgot about him
2. Who the fuck would remember this boring speech that comes out of nowhere and is never brought up or mentioned again?
Same here, I immediately got a ps2 emu and downloaded 3 FES and 4. It's a weird feeling because In my advancing age most games bore me to death, but occasionally I'll find a series like Persona and completely devour the entire library because I love it so much. Same thing happened to me when I found Dark Souls, the only negative to playing games this way is that you get totally burnt out on games for like half a year.
Anyway play persona 3 or 4 depending on what kind of story you want. If you want a deep, edgy and introspective game play 3 FES, which is the special edition if you didn't know. The main theme of the game is memento mori, which means remember death.
If you want something more lighthearted and upbeat that's reminiscent of Scooby doo play 4, or 4 golden if you are able to. The main theme of the game is finding the ultimate truth, hence the whacky detective angle it takes.
Either way you can't really go wrong.
I'm not the guy you mentioned Necron to and I've never played it.
Yu gets a huge headache after meeting her and then he has really fucking weird dreams
I have no idea who you are, and your teenage-level scurrying of rhetoric makes me want to puke. Get lost, you piece of shit.
It's such a small detail though that it feels like it was put in really late in development.
If you're gonna play persona 3, play it on the psp emulator because it has a speedup function which helped get through a lot of the boring parts of the game (literally half of it)
>higher entity gets bored and decides to conduct a social experiment
doesn't sound too bad to me
Why are you this mad and acting intellectually superior? People ask you why you think this makes sense and you go off on a deep end?
>You succeed in the social experiment so she gets triggered and fights you
Why tho
>calls others stupid for not reading the thread
>can't even tell when he's arguing with the wrong person
Gee, you seem like a real genius user, you ask if I even played the game, and then completely ignore my response answering to that.
Also Necron appearing because of Kuja's hatred is better purely because it isn't nearly as contrived as Izanagi, you get all these hints that don't have any relevance to keep them in your mind and then suddenly they're all relevant as you have to chase after yet another true villain in the story.
Come on, let go of the remote don't yknow you are letting all the junk flood in. Itrytostoptheflowdobleclickingonthegobutitsnouse hey im being consumed
idk yaldabaoth and dumuzid have the same problem too
>HOW IS THIS FORESHADOWING RELEVANT
>YEAH BUT THIS FORESHADOWING ISN'T RELEVANT EITHER
Okay, how about this? The very first time you sleep, after getting a headache from the attendant, you receive this dream youtube.com
Oh yeah because in 5 you know so much until the literal second to last palace.
Vincent actively challenges Dumuzid though, he was gonna leave Vincent alone before that.
Yaldy and the Phantom Thieves are also ideological opposites so their conflict makes more sense.
I was originally going to play the portable version of 3 since I could do it on my phone and use a DS4 via Bluetooth, but after i found out that they omitted the animated cutscenes I dropped it and went with FES instead.
P3P is still good though, don't get me wrong. It's definitely better than vanilla
>ABOUND WITH SO MUCH INFORMATION
You are literally told to weed through all the information you're given and
>REACH OUT TO THE TRUTH
youtube.com
Better than before the actual last.
That's more of a connection rather than actual foreshadowing. If the area was actually named Yomostu-whatever instead of ???, it would've been a huge hint.
>Why tho
some scientists can't handle the truth they're given
Because its all shit foreshadowing, none of it is relevant in the slightest until the very end of the game, which lets it all just completely slip out of your mind since its never brought up and is clearly useless information as far as the player is aware for literally 95% of the game.
you could argue that the investigation team went too far with their investigation and found the orchestrator of the whole thing, it's only natural for them to put a stop to it
You challenge her actually. In the other endings, there's nothing stopping her from doing this whole thing again with other people.
time for a real shin megoomi tensay
The entire theme of the game is pursuing the truth and not being tricked by convenient but wrong explanations, and they're upset they had to pay attention.
