PUBG is a vastly superior game to Fortnite, but their desperation to keep up with and copy Fortnite is going to be the death of it. They need to just focus on being their own thing, not constantly reacting on the defensive like this. Fortnite sucks, it has no future, people only play it because It's free, can run on a toaster, and because PS4 doesn't have PUBG.

It runs with Unreal Engine but with Unity and Unreal devkit assets.
Hell, some fucking cities\places are literally free maps on the workshop.

H1 began as a DayZ clone and then implemented the BR mode, was abandoned for

PUBG which streamlines many stupid mechanics that H1 had like crafting, but then it had performance issues and the swarm of the Chinese scum infesting the playerbase.

Fortnite is the ultimate implementation of the BR genre right now because it's optimized well, has frequent content updates, isn't infested by chinks or hackers, and has players throughout many platforms.

It'll take a lot of work to usurp Fortnite, it's like the LoL of the BR genre. Whether or not the BR genre will last is up to time. I'm going to guess that Blizzard will take their crack at the genre in the near future

I still play. I'm really looking forward to the smaller map coming out. I find it frustrating, say, when you are playing squads, three of the fags get wiped out but you are alone and basically there is so much dead time. I think fortnight is cool in the sense it might actually be making Gookhole get pubg up to some sort of standard. The cartoon style and battle building shit is for the kids, man.
