Why do people like this damn game?
>controls like ass
>Ashley is as dumb as a bag of potatoes
> QTEs out the ass
It's hard but i guess that part of the "charm". I'm not saying it's a bad game, but its overhyped as FUCK.
Why do people like this damn game?
it's ok to have shit taste user
At least you’re admitting you have shit taste. Good on you.
fuck you
stop jerking off a game with glaring flaws
its not even scary. people were telling me "Oh just wait for the regenorators" well i did and they were retarded looking.
You're an actual fucking retard
It came out in 2005 you fucking retard. You're just showing your age by making this thread.
This game fathered basically every TPS that came after it. Be respectful.
I never found RE4 to be hard
Because at this point it's 13 years old and 2005 was a different time. That said, it's a damn shame that RE5/6 control better but forgot to actually be good games.
I tried playing it years after it came out. Couldn't get passed the shit controls that only served the purpose of slowing the game down and making it artificially suspenseful.
Maybe I'll try again someday
Yeah well if a game keeps getting ported they should be able to fix it's flaws
It's okay to have shit taste, but you don't need to go broadcasting it everywhere, and you especially don't need to act like it's objective.
congrat user, you didnt like it, now go be a fag somewhere else, personally I didnt like it either but I recogniza that the game just isnt my cup of tea, still a great game though just not for me.
Having to perform the quadratic equation to run backward and aim at the enemy was annoying. also giants are bitches
>ported
>fixing flaws
The inherent issues with that aside, RE4 is treated as a cornerstone in TPS history and, subsequently, a golden goose of sorts. Kind of a dangerous prospect to fuck with that, especially considering it'd be modern Capcom that's doing the fucking with.
>we've reached a point where even RE4's controls are too much for some people
The early games are gonna be unplayable to anyone born after 2006, aren't they?
user, many games have been ported and remastered so that they become bearable. I know they can't change my big complains but the fact that i have to beat the entire game to change the difficulty is annoying
I've played old games, but everyone saying it "The best game every" is talking out of their ass. It's fun but come on
>Xbox One
Why doesn't Capcom try to re-release Viewtiful Joe instead of milking forever the same three games?
>its not even scary
I don't know who told you that RE4 was scary, but the survival horror elements from the previous games are notoriously absent. It's more of a straight action game than anything, even though there are sections that are genuinely creepy.
>"Oh just wait for the regenorators"
I think the setting is the scariest thing in the game, not the enemies. Also, 4 lacks a tyrant-like enemy, which is actually a big letdown, personally.
>tfw picked up all the resident evil games on ps3 store for like $20 in a bundle sale
There is absolutely no need to keep buying them every gen.
Because VJ Remastered isn't gonna be a million seller. RE4/5/6 Remastered is gonna reach for those numbers.
Nope, I liked the first RE and played it when it first came out. No excuse for a game made a decade on a system with a dual analog controller having such shit controls.
Why is professional difficulty such a bitch? Boss fights are a nightmare. Even with spamming the checkpoints, I can't fucking do it.
That's why there is a button for quick turning you silly fuck.
don't you get the infinite rocket launcher?
also there the tactful maneuver of shooting the in the face or knees, kicking them, then just shanking them
>having this level of shit taste
>being this awful at video games
>have to look forward to these people deciding what is good in the future
Maybe I should stop playing games now while they are still good and find a different hobby
The game even tells you this right at the beginning. So many retards here.
You only get that once completing that difficulty normally first. You can't jump from normal to professional and carry progress over.
>someone has an opinion different then my so they are shit
I beat the fucking game on hard. It's just tedious, not challenging
>mercinaries was fun though
>Why do people like this damn game?
Because not everyone sucks cock as much you.
>controls like ass
wrong
it has some of the most precise controls I've ever seen in a 3rd person shooter
I jdon't want to see my boy Joe left to rotten while everyone including Kamiya forget him.
Honestly, I'd rebuy 4 and 5 if they put them on the Switch and they were as good as the Revelations ports.
Dat gyro aiming, man.
>there are people who can complete this game with just a knife and no hits
>tfw first boss owns my ass
are you fucking kidding? You just run up the damn balcony side to side until he dies
>I beat the fucking game on hard. It's just tedious, not challenging
>I'm so shit at the game I don't know how to make it fun so I brute force through everything. Why can't it just be a movie.
this
well then i better get a damn trophy for dick gobbling because i played this shit thrice and played the side shit and still didn't think it was a masterpiece
He can put his feet through the gaps. You can get hit when moving up and down. I have a fear of spider like creatures so the whole situation is uncomfortable despite RE4 being an easier RE.
It's okay user. their are plenty of games out their that are up your alley
>4RE is on Xbone and PS4
how many times can they release this fucking game?
bitch i'm just saying it's not perfect
literally everywhere you go people say its better than modern third person shooters but it's not. It's good but not worthy of worship
>tfw first boss owns my ass
>are you fucking kidding? You just run up the damn balcony side to side until he dies
>First boss is Del Lago
Have any of you actually played this game
As many times for achievement/trophy whores. Telltale have released The Walking Dead games TWICE already on current gen consoles.
I did finish it and only have the professional difficulty achievement left. I don't think I'm gonna make it. Even though my last playthrough I found myself with way too many hoarded items.
no amount of Doom posting is gonna make up for that shit taste user. Maybe you can enjoy a great movie game like the last of us 2 coming out.
>while they are still good
About a decade late for that.
>controls like ass
opinion discarded
Dude the game let's you get extremely OP if you know how. It's gotten to the point were I don't ever upgrade my attache case so that things can stay challenging on professional.
Look here you slippery little cunt, I played the game, but heralding it as jesus' farts is stupid
True
>Gamecube
>dual analog controls
I mean, you're not wrong but if that were the case then why was RE4 such a revolution for third person shooters in 2005? I don't think dual analog aiming was necessarily standardized then. Around, yes, but not standardized.
Sure user. I hope you love walkie takie art games in the future. You guys deserve it.
I'd get the Rev games on Switch but I don't know about triple dipping on Rev1 and double dipping on Rev2.
>Resident Evil 4 used dual analog aiming.
It's like none of you have ever played this game
This is probably the most cuck opinion I've ever heard
That's not what I or that user said. He chastised RE4 for NOT having dual analog controls and I responded to that.
looked through the comment threads and you're right. My bad
Yeah and i hope you keep playing deus ex and thief for the 500th time
I will thanks user
It feels good not having shit taste
>Mikami directed God Hand and RE4 back to back
I will forever love that man.
Anyone enjoyed the sewer level with these guys. I love challenging myself with just the riot gun in that level
>Finally decided to play RE4 on Professional.
It was a bit harder but nothing crazy. I got all infinites except the Elephant Gun.
Also is there no Body Armor in Professional?
>Riot gun
>challenging
the controls are fucking god tier bru wtf are you smoking
I try to use min stats on it and to be fair you are punished severely if you miss with it. Regardless did you enjoy it. I remember the first time I played this part it was very tense cause I didn't know what to expect.
because most people who claim to love it played it back when that was the best graphics and streamlined controls. people who have never played a resident evil game wouldn't know what the fucking devs were thinking by todays standards
The game's good and I love it but it doesn't compare to anything that came before it, and it's basically the last good game the series had until the remakes they're farting out now
But yeah, as much as I love the game, it's not really impressive enough to deserve the excessive praise it gets
