Running theory is that Void Termina is made of the Dark Matter substance, at least, considering all the forms he takes and the titan body's 02 wings
He's the only enemy you can hurt with Friend Hearts, so that's something
Soul Melter has a bit more lore, and it states that Termina sorta resonates with the emotions of others, and can be summoned in different forms depending on whether he's summoned with positive or negative energy so that's probably why he takes Kirby's face

Anyone find it comical that they play up the friendship angle so much? Saying stuff like “saying good bye to a friend” for dismissing them but still have hint screens with “inhale your friends for powers!”
Kirby’s more horrifying than usual in this game. The difference between murdering someone or turning them to murder their own kind is entirely based on kirby’s laziness. You could theoretically throw hearts at every single enemy with a power and have a much smaller body count than a normal Kirby game. But no one would ever do that.
I always feel vaguely uneasy when throwing at heart at Mr. Frosty and he gets turned into a Chilly. Is he stuck like that forever?

Its still up in the air but the boss rush descriptions give some hints. Mainly that it achieved consciousness and gained a soul that was at odds with the desire to destroy everything instilled in it. Its a dark force in the universe that will seek to be revived, and Soul form reveals if positive energy is gathered instead it may come back as a friend instead. That opened the floodgates to theories of it not only being the source of Dark Matte but maybe even Kirby himself, but that much is a bit of a stretch, it could've been Kirby's influence. Also something about 4 heroes

Nightmare in Dreamland for the GBA. I skipped Squeek Squad, but played everything since then. True Arena was always a problem for me. Both in Ultra Deluxe, Triple Deluxe. And Robobot.
I don’t remember RtD’s Arena mode. Anyway, I get that we get shoot em up levels pretty frequently during the last parts of Kirby games, but I didn’t plan for Hyness to sacrifice himself and the three generals to bring forth the dark god. I thought maybe they’d fuse or something, I dunno.
