Goddamn this track is so good.
I replayed the game with basically no memory of it just a month ago and was dumbfounded by how amazing this track, and by extension, the whole soundtrack is, it's goddamn incredible and is somehow still manages to sound completely unique (almost exactly) 13 years later.
Chaos Theory is so fucking good! GOD DAMN!
This track is so strange but it really is nice. Would not expect to hear it in a Tom Clancy game
>Last great game in the series was the ps2-era Double Agent
>The sequel/reboot will inevitably get UBISOFT'ed
>Towers everywhere, detection rings, checklist sim, atmosphere tossed out the fucking window
Old ubisoft is dead, friend. No more top shelf games, no more innovation. Just a gradual slide into mediocrity.

Shame Amon Tobin hasn't been contracted with creating a full soundtrack for Splinter Cell. Unsurprisingly, one of the most unique soundtrack pieces in Conviction were ones made by Amon (and DJ Shadow):

Don't cry because it died...
Smile because it happen :)
im cryin all right
Yes, time exists. You age. It did not stop once you got attached to something in the past. Nothing lasts forever, things tend to change. Boo-fucking-hoo. What a massive tragedy.
this can't be real. I didn't know about this. Why you showed me this? I didn't need to know this.
what kind of a industry is this?
>"we don't want a game with diverse and good content. we don't think the consumers want quality in games"
What the fuck. What response is that?
I get the feeling the biggest reason was lack of trust after Haze flopped. It is true, it doesn't matter how much good stuff you put out. It takes one fuck up to ruin your career.
speaking of timesplitters
>youtu.be
>youtu.be
what did they mean by this?
its a classical musical piece, they just added their own spin on it
>dude make HAZE, fuck that TS shit
>*makes HAZE instead of TS4*
>WOW!! HOW DID THIS FLOP SO HARD??
now free radical is cryteks bitch
>ported TS2 to modern systems as an easter egg
>apparently the whole game is ported

Obligatory youtube.com
amazing how the easter egg is better than the game it is in. That could be a hint to crytek to produce a new TS game instead of generic, military shooters.
I always get the feeling that this corporations that buy outside studios tend to despise the old work made by the acquired studio.
Hence why no TS4 from crytek. It's like they think they are better than free radical and making a sequel from an IP not created by crytek is too shameful.
fucking nice
it stands out so starkly against the rest of the game but it still somehow fits in that one moment.
