Remastering a game is ok if the game is outdated and hasn't aged well, due to finicky controls/limitations of the time. Remastering for the sake of only updating the graphics is a joke, unless they're really really outdated and you want to introduce a new generation to classic games.

Resident evil 0 remaster wasn't meant for a new generation, i even saw some reviews criticizing the camera and controls who clearly never played the original, and that was an example of a good remaster, but it was made for people who played the original
