What went wrong?
PC "Gamers"
Other urls found in this thread:
literally no advertisement for this game
i doubt it sold well on consoles too
first one only sold 1.4 million globally
No marketing and I doubt they're even selling the game outside of steam.
First game was nothing great.
Koei filled steam with bad ports.
People are now skeptical about all Japanese ports.
I didn't know this came out on PC
>everyone who owns the game writes a review
what is this?
never heard of it
pc gamers don't care for nip shovelware
studio ghibli vidya
Why would anyone review a game he didn't finish?
Ghibli isn't involved in this one.
It has been out for a day
nobody but autists write """""REVIEWS"""""
its a chinese cartoon game so obviously not popular
wow really doesn't make you think at all
so?
The same people that make the first one made the second. Like, literally 1:1
fuck...it's over...we're finished...
A couple of things to note. Ni No Kuni II takes around 30 hours to complete, and the game was released yesterday. Also, not everyone is interested in that game or those types of games, what's more, buying games on release. More notably, not everyone, in fact the vast, vast majority of people do not post reviews.
Ni No Kuni 2:
Single Player
Japanese Role Playing Game
No Online Multiplayer
No Microtransactions
Almost no marketing
Sequel to an obscure PS3 exclusive from 2013.
$60 price point
Are you really surprised no one is buying it?
Why the fuck does the PS4 say this released yesterday but it's still only up for pre-order?
woah nobody actually cares about your weebtrash who knew
Or, in reality, PC users don't buy games unless it's GTA, Bethesda, or an early access multiplayer twitch bait game.
Tried the first one, neat visuals but not worth my time at all. Have no interest in the second one. WTF right?
PC gamers don't actually play or even rate games. On Steam at least, most review the options menu.
they should have ported 1 and given it away with pre orders
they are stupid as fuck
The game looks like generic trash. The first one actually looked like it had identity. Ghibli no longer being directly involved in the sequel shows.
spot the weeb autist who thinks he's above everyone else
Ghibli did actually nothing for the first one. They just slapped the name on there for the marketing
Never played the first but it looked interesting enough so I bought it. It's charming but holy shit the combat is so mind-numbingly easy. If I wasn't interested in the story I don't think I'd bother to finish the game.
>I doubt they're even selling the game outside of steam
Why would they?
Spot the guy who actually plays Overwatch and PUBG
most pc gamers don't pay for the games they play
Yeah what's up with this?
>The animated sequences for Dominion of the Dark Djinn and Wrath of the White Witch were produced by Studio Ghibli, and the original score was composed by Joe Hisaishi and Rei Kondoh.
I'm going to pretend you're not baiting, so I'll give you a useful tip for life
Don't generalize and fall into confirmation bias.
i was actually interested, then i heard it is easy AS FUCK so i'm not playing it until fix
Because it generates more profit if you can get the game from other platforms like gog?
I don't. I still don't pretend that makes me a better person somehow, because I don't need to.
I have other redeeming qualities
plz stop talking bullshit
I honestly didn't even knew it was supposed to be on PC.
Why would they port the first game free of charge?
Are you retarded?
Cool. I'll give you a useful tip for life.
PC users don't buy games that aren't GTA, Bethesda, or early access multiplayer twitch bait.
>Joe Hisaishi
also made the OST for 2 famalan
>no marketing
>Bandai shitty ports
>niche serie
>boring first game
>first game not on pc
Also
>No Denuvo
For everyone saying "It wasn't advertised enough, I didn't know it was on PC". It is a buyer's duty to research the market for good games and financially incentivize the developers of said games so they prevail over asset flipping shit makers.
I watched someone play it for about an hour and it honestly seemed like a children's game so that might be why it's easy.
Would have unironically sold better if it was on the Switch.
>It is a buyer's duty to research the market for good games
Literally all games are for children
Most people arent nearly this autistic over videogames. You want sales then you get normies on board
Every now and again I wonder what the fuck is wrong with many posters on this site
Can you actually be genuinely dumb or just underage or pretending
WEEB BTFO
Inflated marketing departments thrive on brainlets like you.
>inb4 muh M rating
Too many manchildren on this board
Weebshit doesn't sell on PC. Unless it's VNs for some reason
>secure preorders
>sell old game for lower price
>added value, 2 games for sixty dollars
>limited offer
its you who can't into jewish tactics
gaben himself said tactics like this lead to more profit and sales
>mfw garbage games like Ash of Gods: Redemption are in the topseller list but nnk2 isn't
>expecting gamers to research shit
You're overestimating the average intelligence of the common folk.
The first game was trash. Why would I buy the second one? I don't think I'll even bother pirating it.
literally a japanese childrens game
>some pedoshit game from japan gets released on a platform no one asked for
>why won't pc "gamers" appreciate this shit on their plate?
seriously, why?
Its only pedo if you actually want to fuck the prince. Get yourself checked m8
Fucking this
Marketing is usually up to the publisher. The only thing the devs should be responsible for is delivering the most interesting game possible.
And yet it has only 82 reviews. Which only shows that OP is a faggot
>$60 for a story driven game that's a sequel to a game that's only available on an obsolete platform
Yes. Seems worth it.
>a sequel to a game that's only available on an obsolete platform
It's not even a direct sequel so who cares?
>obscure
It wasn't even obscure when it came out there was tons of hype for it. Nobody talks about it anymore cause the combat is bargain bin tier trash.
it's not like you need to play the first one the get the story
>it's only pedo if you're like me
nice projection there, degenerate. off to the gas chamber you go with the next president
I think you need to learn how to read
What the fuck are you talking about
Then they fucked up by having the number 2 in the name, especially when the series is so obscure.
>pubg still in the top 2
Jesus fuck.
Got to keep buying new accounts every time you get banned
>first game is some cute pokemon thing
>second is generic jrpg
what happened?
A lot of people thought 1 was boring. So they changed it up. Also neither you nor I have played 2 so I cant tell you how it is
>tfw i used to go on gamestop website, click on the "coming soon" tab and scroll and scroll looking at all the upcoming titles and looking up the stuff that piqued my interest
>dont do that anymore because there's very little to look forward to and any good/interesting games get announcements so i dont need to go looking for them
God Eater did it.
Tales of Zestiria also did it with Symphonia despite the games being completely unrelated.
They made the combat more responsive and tight.
It's much better than what we got in 1.
i think you need to learn about reading comprehension
That means more sales, not less.
>$79.99 for the full game
I'll get it during a summer sale.
This, hell I even followed indie games before they got mainstream because there were a couple of hidden gems. Now that there's 20 indie per weeks I just can't be bothered to waster hours checking all of them and skip everything.
Canuckcuck dollars are not real money
This. The price needs to be cut by at least half for me to buy it.
Doald Trump the video game
>Why isn't this new market buying a sequel to a game they never got?
>Why would they port the first game free of charge?
More like Irrelevant Kingdom am I right?
Are you recommending this crap? I'm confused.
Sorry kid, it's $80 American.
1 had trash gameplay. The only selling point was the graphics, which were fucking amazing. It's good to hear that they fixed the combat but I actually liked the monster collector part...
So, is it good? Should I get the first game before this one?
>good old games
>yes, let's release our newest product on that site
Brainlet
>Steam
>Let's release our medieval pre-industrial era fantasy jRPG on that platform
are you mentally deficient?
>steam
>release video games at all
What the fuck is this shit?
>medieval pre industrial
>has nukes and democracies
Brainlet
