Each game tried to be unique for one another and they failed in most ways. 2 is the best example of this because it retained the combat of 1 with some new additions, like Block and Weapon Attacks, which were fine, but then it ruined the crafting, exploration, and removed all the other cool stuff like mounts, spell crafting, runes, etc.
