Post obscure FPS games from early 00's
There was a game I played in the 2000's. It was like a nock off Halo CE, on PC. The cutscenes of ships flying were clearly the devs flying them, poorly at that. It had a sort of tropical island setting. Please for the love of god tell me what it is its been driving me nuts.
Chaser
Pariah? Didn't play that one but I've heard it's a Halo clone
maybe this?
Nah thats not it.
Yes holy shit thats it thank you. Time to find it and play it, if thats even possible.
shadow ops red mercury
pretty decent bargain bin game
only like 1 dollar on steam
how about this Classic
project IGI
>obscure
This shit was amazing - shit, but amazing
>runs on Serious Engine, you know, the one from Serious Sam
>starting weapon was a wheapon wheel that lets you dual wield shotguns, machineguns and rocket launchers
>your wife is riding on your back the whole time, automatically whipping enemies that are close
>you could eject her so she'd fly around the area, bombing the shit out of it
>enemies are mostly stuff like racist Mexican "dirty Spic" stereotypes that ride on pigs and yell "ey, gringo!"
>ridiculous shit like the game going into bullet time while the music changes to Air on the G String when low on health
>you could honest to god cuck your wife in one of the final levels by fucking the weapon merchant
>get shot by sniper
>wait behing tree to recover health
>go a bit closer to this fucking camper
>repeat
SUPER GRA KURWO
>Chrome
>regenerating health
?
There was a game pretty entertaining but i cant remember the name, the first mission was you discovering some sort of relics or spaceruins that get invaded by aliens. You could pilot different kind of ships and mech units, you could even drop off the vehicles and use your sniping rifle to kill of the alien drivers and take control of their own units. You were able to build a base and mine resources, bit the game played as a tank-fps game. Eventually you made a choice of either sticking with humans or joining the alien race, which had its own set of vehicles.
The game was pretty dope for what it was,
probably also censored in Germany
Battlezone 2
Yes, whats the problem?
guilty pleasure
I remember being so impressed the first time I saw it. Never came out and probably never will
>Original trailer in 2006
>Hear nothing from the devs until 2011 claiming they were 'back' and still working on the game
>2018 and we haven't heard from the devs since

I wanna play this but it seems to shit itself for me
I liked Firestarter as well
Yeah! Thats the game. Thnkx for the info.
OP, if you like to mix an fps with some strategy, that game was pretty decent
I played Codename: Outbreak a lot while waiting for STALKER. Wasn't that great, but the campaign was fun.
The remastered version was released a week or two ago. I still prefer the first game, though.
I was pumped for Breed when that was announced, because I didn't have an Xbox. Was a letdown.
>The cutscenes of ships flying were clearly the devs flying them, poorly at that.
What
This was FUCKING AMAZINGLY FUN
All those modes goddamn
Chrome in the Polish version is great because the main character doesn't sound like fucking Duke Nukem. Whose idea was this, honestly.
I remember this being hyped everywhere shortly before release, then I never heard about it again.
Anyway here is my submission.
Mobile Force was pretty fun and I enjoyed the limited loadout system that effectively turned people into classes. Even though the game looks like a UT mod (not only because it was done on the same engine), it was surprisingly engaging, even offline.

I also remember playing another game where you'd buy your loadout and compete team vs team for objectives, although that one was more grounded in reality. Two things that come to my mind was:
- one of the later missions had US forces trying to kill a drug lord (you'd play as either side). I think there's also been an arctic mission.
- AI enemies were playing like true bots and would kill you the instant you entered their FoV
I don't suppose anyone remembers what I'm talking about?
Global Operations?
Warrock was the shit when it first came out. This was in the early days of F2P before the devs became massive Jews, and everyone was having great fun being bros on huge maps. Then it became P2W, hackers were everywhere, and the fun stopped.
>F
Probably the biggest selection of weapons in a (pure) FPS game.
it is obscure now, i believe
I tried to play this but the game is so fucking boring and tedious
It's the poor and retarded mans F.E.A.R
I remember getting Advanced Battlegrounds: The Future of Combat. Pretty cool open worldish shooter. Didn't know it was part of a series.
Not gonna lie, I fucking love KISS Psycho Circus.
Shit, that might be it. Was the AI just as bad as I remembered or were there ways of going around it? Thanks anyway.
I also love this game for some reason, are you playing it on Windows 10? I had trouble running it, but it worked fine on 7
Hell if I remember, it's been over 15 years since I played it. I just remember it being a pretty blatant Counter-Strike rip-off, but then, Counter-Strikes rip-offs were a dime a dozen back then.
Neck yourself, Roland. No one is going to play this trash game no matter how hard you shill it.
It's probably the one OP used.
Chrome
The girl looked like Jessica alba.
You did lots of base attacks against mechs and asshole Ai with aim bots.
Ever seen a man having diarrhea through his nipples? It's not a pretty sight.
I actually keep an old Windows XP PC around for old games like it.
I guess the reasons why I love it are
>ridiculous enemy, weapon and occasional level designs
>few but pretty useful weapons and one of the rare cases where even the melee weapons are fun and useful even in the final levels
>essentially the missing link between the Doom-like shooters and the quantity over quality horde shooters like Serious Sam or Painkiller (IIRC they even boasted back then how they were able to have up to like 50 enemies at once on the screen)
>the way the music works is pretty interesting - it actually consists of multiple samples that get randomly mixed together so you rarely hear the same patterns together
>sector based damage and dismemberment so you can have those Headless run around with both arms chopped off, spurting blood everywhere
>the references are actually pretty well done and never on the nose (well, maybe outside of the mansion). It never does shit like "OHMAHGAD, ACE FREHLEY, THE SPACEMAN FROM KISS HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED! USE YOUR KISS POWERS TO TURN INTO THE DEMON, GENE SIMMONS' KISS PERSONA, AND MAKE ENEMIES KISS YOUR ASS!" and what's there never really distracts from the game, even if you fucking hate the band.
Hell, "KISS" isn't even said or mentioned once in the game and the name itself only appears in the title and in the ending video.
bump
took me ages to find a torrent for this game back in the day. not sure why I wanted to play this piece of shit
Do you guys remember that Land of the Dead game?
What if someone took the assets from the game they were originally working on and released it years later?
I present you Day of the Zombie.

I always like these threads, there usually a lot less shitposting.
Mace Griffin had a few interesting mechanics, but overall was a pretty bad FPS.
Don't expect a good game.
Dual shotgunning bad guys into the stratosphere felt great in this
That game was better than it had any right to be.
can I post obscure 90s FPS games too?
