Pretty sure it's because a lot of people, at least in these threads, got fed up with the way the wiki and the people editing it treat what is and is not "canon" and decided to seek out more reliable information with proper sourcing. I wish more of these Japanese materials had translations though, I've seen the exact same page from one of the anniversary books used to claim like three different things about Adeleine.

Guys, I'm glad the Dream Friends are a thing, but I'm worried that this will be a one-time thing. Treehouse described the Dream Friends DLC as "legacy characters", which suggests they're just bringing them back to cater to nostalgia, not that them having the spotlight once again has any sense of permanence.. I just feel like these characters are going to be gone as soon as they came back. It feels hollow knowing this.

Give it the default Kirby appearance and attacks based on the various powers, like how the animal friends were handled. Hopefully Kirby could actually jump into it, rather than only ride on its back, but I'd even take riding on its back too.
