Guys i broke my leg and i can't do shit. Netflix is getting boring but i have an XBOX One at home. I don't play a lot on it, but i'm curious if there are any single player games worth playing. I already finished Witcher 3 and it was genuinely entertaining, i wasn't entertained by a single player game for years until witcher 3. So got any titles worth checking out? Kinda disappointed with current gen desu, should have gotten a playstation, they have better exclusives as far as i can tell.

break your neck and fuck off
Ok i will.
No, it's fucking shit.
Most games these days are, but i felt the witcher was actually entertaining. Maybe a solid 7 or 8/10.
If you care just about gameplay it's 5/10 at best.
Play Nier Automata, you will like it.
Kingdom come
first post worst post
Such an angry tiny man
The core game was pretty easy, but the DLC increased the difficulty making the game enjoyable again. The quests were worked out, which is unique in RPG's nowadays and the SJW shit wasn't too in your face that it became obnoxious. I enjoyed it and the last game i enjoyed must have been fallout:new vegas.
But i didn't make the thread to talk about witcher desu, that topic must have been exhausted by now.
Did you finish the Hearts of Stone DLC? Was best part of the game for me
>Resident Evil series
>Dead Space 1 and 2
>Metro 2033 and Last Light
>Doom
>Bioshock series
Also Halo since you're on xbox. Not really the same as Witcher but I can't think of any open world games that I really enjoyed this gen.
Oh i heard about this, i thought it was an PC only game. Looks cool, what did you think of it?
Monty Python and the Holy Grail : Game
I played them all already, i mean who didn't. Just hadn't played the latest RE because it looks more like an horror game. Also never picked up the last Bioshock because Sup Forums told me it was SJW.
Of course, but i enjoyed the castle sieges from Blood and Wine more.
Escape from Tarkov
RE7 is worth a try if you can get the gold edition on the cheap. It's not really a "horror" game in the way that you're thinking of, once you get the shotgun it's pretty much the same old Resident Evil albeit closer to the older games than 4-6.
Divinity Original Sin 2 is probably the best game in last ten years but I don't know if it is one XBox.
I have it on steam, i think. Is it Divinity II (director's cut)? I haven't touched a baldurs gate clone after i got memed into PoE, that game was such a bore. Or maybe i just grew out of it.
Currently playing Divinity original sin 2. I haven't finished a single game in years, but I think I will with this one.
Just, don't choose normal mode, choose expert, as you can't switch later. Hopefully I'll find a mod to add difficulty to the game.
Cuphead
Its hard so it should keep you busy for a while
You should try Prey, it's amazing immersive sim (0451 game if this tells you anything) and it pays off if you sink in properly.
Sometimes a game looks interesting but not interesting for me to buy so i just look up the story and "cheat" myself out of not having to spend the money but still understand what's so good about a certain game. Prey was one of those, so i already know what's happening.
I think i'm gonna buy kingdome come and divinity original sin 2, but thanks anyway.
>i broke my leg
what did you go and do that for?
>Xbox One
Ai, that does limit your choice a bit. Did Divinity OS 1 & 2 get a Xbox Port? If so try those. I know Mount&Blade Warband recently came out for consoles, but without mods it's probably only good for 150-200 hours of entertainment rather than thousands so it's your own call.
And then there's always Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4
No Divinity Original Sin is a separate series, but since it's much better than the Divinity series it's more popular and when people say Divinity they mean Original Sin.
Divinity Dragon Commander
I forgot my parents had removed a balcony, so i walked outside to smoke and i fell. Smoking is bad for you kids, remember that.
Witcher 3 was one of the best recent games
Dark Souls - if you haven't given it a try, time to sit down and do so
Nier:Automata - I'm not into anime or waifus so I gave this a wide berth until recently. It was genuinely good, a solid above average title with spectacular music. The music alone adds enough to the experience to make it worth.
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon - If you're looking for a mindless shooter with an enjoyable theme (depending on your tastes), this is worth turning your brain off for.
Nu-Doom - surprisingly decent as well. Worth a play for the campaign.
Subnautica - if you like underwater settings or survival games, this is another enjoyable experience if you are into the genre of survival, run away from scary monsters type of games. Worth a jaunt for the underwater exploration at least.
Alternatively watch some movies, tv shows, animes. Constantly playing games can be tough when you have a lot of time off. Let me know if you need more options I'll try again. Enjoy your rest, and be more fucking careful next time. Breaking bones puts you out of commission for fucking ever
>inb4 hurr durr ubishit
AC Origins is pretty good as an action RPG set in Egypt and it took me 80 hours to complete it
>Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4
Played both, what a overhyped bullshit.
How can you think Skyrim is overhyped but like Witcher 3?
Shadow of Mordor is good. Get the sequel Shadow of War only if you really REALLY liked the first one.
I don't know if you've checked it out already and I don't even know if its available on console, but maybe Kingdom Come: Deliverance?
It's a janky as fuck game and its a buggy mess but I haven't had a game pull me in as hard as that since The Witcher 3 when it first came out.
Another user here.
I got Skyrim special edition after having played Witcher 3 and craving another huge game to play.
This was my first elder scrolls game and man was it fucking boring. People can shit on Witcher 3’s combat all they want but Skyrim’s is just comepletely dogshit.
I just slogged around a coupl of caves and bandit outposts before deleting it again. Waste of money even though it was on sale.
Check out those older titles that you know you should play but never had the patience or time to really get invested in. Like Morrowind, Baldur's Gate, Deus Ex.
Or learn a more practical skill. Like drawing or playing guitar.
That sounds hilarious
I'm learning to draw, but i need to hold my leg high to further help with the healing. Can't really draw like that. I played all the old titles already, hence why i asked for next gen titles.
Thanks mate, most of those look really interesting. Never knew xbox had dark souls and doom on it.
It's available on console, but looked it up and looks like a buggy mess. Kinda turning me off desu.
It was, but it hurt really bad. Plus it was at 5 am so i had to limp back on the stairs to wake my parents. It was fucking brutal actually. I just wanted to sit down and cry it out but i had too much adrenaline so i hopped away.
