its zelda + skyrim, which is worse than both N64 zeldas by far

It's one of the greatest games ever made.
It literally won GOTY + a few other awards last week.

It's one of the most non-patronizing, truly the most OPEN games ever made. It fuels your own sense of adventure, will to explore and discover.

Now, get offline, go play the game. Don't stop playing the game. Don't travel only on beaten paths.

Utter lies. BotW literally challenges OoT as the best game ever.

>im just wanting some good ol Sup Forums opinions on it

So you want to hear that it's a piece of shit?

>zelda + skyrim
t: idiot who's never played either one of 'em.

Did you find the Sneed Temple (Formerly Chuck Temple)?

when Sup Forums will recover?

It's great until the first exposition dump and then it's all downhill from there.

It isn't perfect, but if you play it as blind as possible I'd say it's a pretty unique experience. Hopefully you like most can enjoy that.

wow you must watch rick and morty to be cranking out jokes of that caliber.

The bad:
> It's empty
> The weapon durability is ridiculous
> Dungeons are small and indistinct
> You don't feel more powerful as the game goes on due to gaining more universal tools like bombs and shit, you feel more powerful because you luck into stronger weaponry basically

The good:
> What isn't empty is incredibly meaningful. There's not something tedious to do every two seconds, but when there is something to do it's interesting and distinct
> There's decent variety in how to best use and fight with weapons and items
> "Will this work" is usually answered by "yes" instead of "no because the developers didn't intend it"
> Having all your major tools from the start of the game makes it fun to do unique gamebreaking stunts

SNEETHING

This picture implies incest and I am disgusted by it.

im not the big of a fan of games crossing over like that, i think its skyrim desperate call to stay relevant

>It's empty
Utter lie. it's not. The game's jam packed with content AND features.
>The weapon durability is ridiculous
it is not. It servers a very specific purpose, prevents powercreep and rewards the player.
>Dungeons are small and indistinct
which is good.
>You don't feel more powerful as the game goes on due to gaining more universal tools like bombs and shit, you feel more powerful because you luck into stronger weaponry basically
Negative. You become stronger by both GATHERING better equipment, and by LEARNING how to play the game better.

Its really good. That's all I have to say.

bart is gay

just bought it used recently for wii u. I have to say I'm very disapointed so far. 6/10 open world game.

the most wholesome feedback yet

Having meta knowledge before going into the game will make the experience slightly worse in most cases

Only possible exception is to let you know that the NCP that lets you expand your inventory first appears along the road to Kakiriko

it was pretty good
7/10

>no its not its good

I don't like it either and it realy does feel empty and boring the weapons breaking all the time realy is just anoying and feels like a useless timewaste.

It get old really fucking quick, like, after 10 hours you can put the shit down since it's only a repetition of the same things you've already experienced.

don't take other people's opinions on the game, OP, it's best experienced on your own.
I went as blind as possible into it and had a great time.

Stop trying to actually argue with the nintendotards. For them taking one enemies camp, one shrine and one koroks seed and then multiplying it by 200 is enough to create meaningful "game content".

the game isn't a 10/10 not 9/10 or even 8/10.
its realy just a mediocre open world game. but somehow the name zelda blocks brainfunction for some ppl. I don't get it.

I didn't get very far in it but the horses were nice. I didn't like the weapons breaking all the time but I did have fun hunting down boars for meat. I played it on WiiU so the frame rate was bad in some places.

I actually liked wind waker more

Same reason Xeno 2's handheld gets a free pass. It's okay when Nintendo does it.

The same reason people brag about the nogame64 when normal people got themselves a PS1 with ff7/8/9, medievil, silent Hill, Gran Turismo 1 /2, metal gear solid, rayman1/2, driver, crash, Wipeout or Spyro : inoperable autism.

if anything botw is more like morrowind

Dungeons/Shrines are bland, hyrule castle notwithstanding. They blend together.
Narrative is ok. Wish you had more scenes with the champions of yore or time in Hyrule Castle.
Gameplay is great.

I'd argue that the emptiness and feeling of loneliness is intentional Its part of the atmosphere that sells the game ,as much as it is empty, there's detail in almost every frame so it's really not unless it's intentional, you can find stuff everywhere and the exporation is really something.

Morro had actual writing instead of 3 lines per pnj asking you to bring back some food/weapon or a picture of something.

It's the biggest leap for Zelda since Ocarina of Time. But most of that is just taking the best of other open world games (including Zelda 1) and combining them to one game. For open world fans (like me), it is a great game. If you're not a fan of open world games, or expect Zelda games to be cinematic/story driven linear events, this game is not for you.

The biggest problem with this game is the music. This game will test your ability to be able to ignore repetitive and dull music. If you can get past that, I'd say you'll love it.

Should have had a quarter of the npcs and focused on developing each of them

the n64 was actually good and I prefered it over the ps1. but botw just isn't

who is this?

"Oh, I didn't see you approach. I was immersed in my music..."
