So I finally started the fate series. I'm watching Fate/Zero and really enjoy it. I decided to look up the rest of the series and I don't know if I'm going to continue. It seems like the first game Fate/Stay night is an eroge or something, maybe I'm wrong.

F/SN is a VN with a couple (really bad) sex scenes, it's not really an eroge since sex isn't the focus at all. Still highly recommend it though, and there's ways to remove the sex scenes if that's not your thing.
Fate/Extella is okay, it's a Musou game which you either love or hate. It's based off Fate/Extra, which is a rock-paper-scissors simulator for the PSP set in a different continuity, so you should probably play that first.

If the UBW anime is anything to go by, Im worried that they wont be able to do all these big scenes justices. Though I dont blame them since a lot of it comes from Shirous inner monologues and that really dont work as any way other than a novel. But at least it will look pretty and cool I guess.

Not really the only definitively bad fate entry has been grand order because the plot is shitty and broken up into poorly thought out episodes in order to get you to play the gacha (also because fucking everything is suddenly important enough to be a servant), learning how things work has always been one of the best parts of the nasuverse, digging in deep and connecting the dots is fun

You fucked up. Zero was actually a prequel that was made to fill in the blanks of what happened before the events of the visual novel, Zero has spoiled a few things for you like Sakura. The visual novel is the main thing and every anime of it has butchered it one way or another. It’s slice of life and pacing can be painful but by the end it’s worth all the hours you put in. Beware, you’re definitely gonna be bored through out the first route and will feel like dropping it due to how long it is, continue reading on through to get to the good shit. It’s like this with Most visual novels as well, they are slow paced and littered with tedious shit and information drops before getting to the good parts.

UBW is alright. Only reason I like it is because it really does beating Gilgamesh justice. Fate route's ending is way too shonen for my taste, all fitting together nicely. Shirou's UBW should be the only viable way to defeat him in that respect. Heaven's Feel just having him being eaten is the best way of getting rid of him though.
