what game is that?
Fuck off.
Metroid Fusion
Thanks, I'll take a look at it.
Genuinely the only metroid boss that gave me some trouble(not counting hard mode)
I love Fusion Samus' hunched pose. She's seen some shit
>that amount of health and missiles
>blocked
I beat that sucker with 1/4 of the missiles and less health
>spider guardian on hard without spring ball
Release me
Stop making these fucking threads
Fusion had a great, subtle horror vibe and I would like to see it return in a future Metroid game
>the close up of SA-X with the knowledge it’s chasing you
>the music
>seeing the scientist at the generator turn his head before revealing its a super X form
>Nightmare ominously looming on the background of the artic sector
>Nightmares cracked, melted face in that cramped room
>”There’s no fewer than 10 SA-X on this station”
Not enough shmup goodness. Step aside m80.
Stop
The shmup bosses in AM2R were shit, they just sprayed projectiles at you and it was easy to see how you needed to dodge them. The Mother Brain battles in Metroid/ZM and Super were a much better way of handling a projectile-based boss.
>Mother Brain
Projectiles were too slow. They made the Tester look like he was on crack in comparison.
AM2R is so underrated just because it's a fan game.
SM > AM2R > Fusion/ZM > SR
>without spring ball
What, that can't be possible at all
Nightmare isn't hard, unless you're doing 1%, in which case he's fucking horrible.
Projectile speed is irrelevant, Mother Brain was still better because you actually had projectiles coming from all directions and you had to balance dealing with the projectiles with attacking Mother Brain. In certain AM2R's bosses (Tester and Torizo), you just jump into the area of the screen that isn't filled with projectiles until the bosses' attack has finished, then you attack them. Then you had bosses like Genesis and Serris that were just shit. Admittedly bosses aren't exactly Metroid's strongpoint as a series but the AM2R bosses were notably shit.
This nigger and Torizo on hard were something else
>you just jump into the area of the screen that isn't filled with projectiles until the bosses' attack has finished, then you attack them
But they're always atacking you, and you have to balance attacking with evading as well. I fail to see a difference, besides one being more cramped.
>Then you had bosses like Genesis and Serris that were just shit.
HOw were they shit? Serris was an improvement from his Fusion form because the stage was far more fleshed out, and wasn't just three platforms. He also had far more complex movement patterns. As for Genesis, he's a cool optional boss who ignores immunity frames and hides in the darkness, using the environment against you. I'd say that's at least worth a mention.
The absolute state of modern Sup Forums.
Tester certainly wasn't constantly attacking you, it would spam projectiles, then wait a bit, then start another attack. All the attacks had a pretty clear pattern too so it wasn't exactly difficult to avoid.
And even the developer of AM2R has stated he would have liked to improve both the Genesis and Serris fights. They were neat additions but the execution wasn't amazing.
The same could be said of Mother Brain. Once you froze her projectiles, it took them forever to thaw out. People forget that Zero Mission and SM aren't exactly perfect either.
18+
I can't until we finally get a sequel to this game.
Off yourself
Retards like you are the reason there's a schism in the fucking Metroid fanbase of all things.
