>Chromium based
Yuck
What makes this better than just installing uBlock Origin?
...
Nothing
>downloaded to try out
>meh, pretty good but some ads slip through it
>go to youtube
>there's a small button on top of the video
>click it
>small window with the video can be dragged around and used over other tabs/windows
That's it, Opera won
Opera is faster than Chrome but I cant take the random crashing. Chrome is much more stable
>Opera is faster than Chrome
No it isn't, dumbass. It's literally the same browser underneath.
>X is software is faster than Y software
No it isn't, dumbass. It's literally the same assembly underneath.
yeah opera is pretty comfy since it cough up to chrome, i rather take the Chinese botnet then the usa botnet
maybe it is the time to move from pale moon
Any firefox add-on similar to this?
Sounds great for studying.
Opera is a great choice if you love getting 0day'd
>Not even showing Firefox
>Not even showing Chrome with an adblocker
Seriously, go on and try it. I'm addicted already.
No.
Just downloaded it on my Arch machine and on Windows, why does the Windows build look so much better? The Linux build looks like it's just an uglier version of vanilla Chromium.
Use Yandex browser. Way faster than other botnets. Russian programmers are the best programmers.
Which filterlist(s) are they using?
Can custom lists be added?
Holy fuck. Just installed Opera after using Chrome for years and finally, I can say that Opera is pretty good. Thank god it can use Chrome extensions
...
does that VPN werks on Sup Forums ban?
>inb4 hurr durr restart reouter
So should I bother installing this?
Last time I used Opera was before they removed the bookmarks with that update.
why don't you try ;^)
>So should I bother installing this?
It's literally chrome+adblock. What's the fucking point. If it used a rendering engine better than Webkit then maybe, but as it is...
Don't forget pop-out videos m8
opera is best browser, better than chrome by far
cuz i have already edge(lord), IE 11, FF dev and chrome installed so i dun wanna so many browsers
>i dun wanna so many browsers
>has 4 browsers
opera-developer also has free built in vpn.
b but i cant uninstall Edge and IE :(
uBlockO w/ any other browser shits on it
Yes you can..
>implying they can write anything but spaghetti with their slavrunes
No. All of the IPs owned by Opera's VPN are banned on Sup Forums.
No it doesn't. They showed comparisons in dev blogs and it was still slightly faster/less ram. This adblocker is written in low level language, not JS so there will always be and advantage. It is still very basic though, you for instance can't add new lists so you should stick to ublock for now anyway.
Opera is chrome
crap.. watcha gonna do to avoid 4chin bans?
They should add ad blocking capability for iOS, otherwise I'll continue to use UCBrowser.
You could tether your computer to your phone.
>Been using opera since its move to chromium
>Just updated to 37
Its beautiful
I just tried this, its worse than uBlock Origin.
Anyway I actually ended up liking Opera better than Firefox now, so I'm gonna stick with it for now. I got most of my userscripts and add ons working but I'm still missing a NoScript add on, is there any good available?
>another webkit based browser
who fucking cares
you might use chrome as well
Either download the one directly from the EFF's website or use uMatrix if you want more fine-tuning.
Shitposting while watching my country becoming great.
Using Nvidia's Adaptive Vsync causes screen tearing while watching videos on Opera.
Using Nvidia Inpsector you can search for the Opera profile and force the standard Vsync mode for it without having to change it on the global setting.
Just letting people know because I had this problem.
is that a feature ?
the future is now
yes
Thanks i just noticed it on youtube now. Thanks!
Yes, the only place it didn't work was Twitch
Can you even prove whatever point you're trying to state or
So what are some nice extensions for Opera?
It only works with HTML5 video. Twitch is still Flash for the video.
That explains why it's so shitty
All VPNs are banned unless you use an obscure one that hasn't been banned yet
Try not getting banned? If you're getting banned for obvious shitposting, good.
>Twitch is still Flash for the video.
why the fuck
Literally chrome reskin.
fucking mid-2016 ladies and gentlemen
Not with that atitude.
low tier baiter always make me laugh
It is the best browser on the market. Fastest and with unique, cool as fuck features.
>It's literally chrome+adblock
that's not true, shitposter
Yes it is. GTFO
stop trying, you are wasting your life here
How many features from old Opera is it still missing though?
Why does the Linux build look like such shit?
Everything looks like shit on linux
>linux
>good ui
>ever
Every other browser looks the same.
And KDE looks better than the Windows DE.
>KDE
>looks better than anything
Opera 38 will add the ability to add custom lists too
Remember to click manage exceptions to delete some default exceptions Opera has there
Yandex >>>>> Google
speaking from personal experience
yandex mail is GOD tier, and so is music, maps, market and of course search
But that has nothing to do with the kernel and everything to do with the developers. Opera devs were just lazy sacks of shit and didn't put any effort into one of their builds.
putin pls go
that's what you get with 3% market share
But ublock already does that for me.
just saying in case people want to use the native one
Stop your memeing, it's not like it would be difficult for the devs to have the same UI on all systems.
Actually they have ~1.75% desktop share so really they should consider themselves very lucky instead of biting the feeding hands.
See And Linux runs the servers of almost every website you use, so your memeing is really misplaced.
If you see ads remember to check to block option.
I like that it fits the design style of win 10
Took them fucking long enough. Does it block ads better than lightning?
On phones you can only do that with Firefox
>advertisements built into the settings page
Dropped
How do I change the tab bar? I changed the theme and it is still this boring gray
What
They recently bought SurfEasy VPN, it's built into the browser.
Is SurfEasy a botnet? I want a Japanese IP address so I can ascend to a higher plane of weeabooism, but I don't like evil corporations stealing muh thoughts.
Settings>>Browser>>User Interface>>Show system color on top bar
No one knows, but it doesn't matter. Their only options are US, Canada, Germany, and the Netherlands.
That new logo looks comfy
Really? Their website claims otherwise.
Alright, weird. I figured Opera would give all of the options in their browser.
Free users don't get all regions.
Is there a way to remove the '+ Add Page' option from being shown at the top of every bookmark folder?
Is there a way to make the top bar anything other than a solid color? Or is that only on the previous version?
thanks in advance user
