are there any good authentic reasons to switch to linux yet?

for fun

Better support.
We have games now.

You like penguins?

Avoid big data and everyday life spying ?

inb4 someone replying why win10 is gr8

Windows is reason enough.

Windows 10*

I'm trying to justify why I switched to Windows and I can't.

Games are not a good enough reason. Games are kind of shit and gnu/linux has most of the good ones anyway.

There is none. Microsoft™ Windows™ 10 is the best operating system on Earth.

>are there any good authentic reasons to switch to linux yet?
Plenty.

- package manager
- customizability
- better security
- virtually no viruses
- choice (many distros)
- choice (many DE/WMs)
- flexibility (desktop, laptop, server, htpc, etc.)
- CLI and GUI or both (use it how it suits you)
- ease of use (setting up a LAMP server, or reverse ssh proxy, or anything else is a breeze)
- many IDEs for your favorite programming language

need I go on?

>we have games now

It's just comfy

Most of those games are shite.

>Proprietary software

Yes, the fact that most C/C++/Python/etc. libraries are designed to be built and used on Linux only. I recently tried to switch to Windows 10 because I got meme'd by all these pajeets, and it gave me tons of frustration trying to write any code under Windows 10 until I gave up and installed a VM.

Are you fucking kidding me? I can't think of a reason to NOT use GNU/Linux.

Not really...

So you can finally start learning about computers?

Clicking on bullshit in a GUI "control panel" doesn't count.

>osx has that
>osx has that because it has alternative DE/WMs
>osx's security is on par with linux
>same for osx
>fair enough i guess
>look at point 2
>same for osx

>osx is easier

>are there any good authentic reasons to switch to linux yet?

if you need to ask that
you don't need Linux at all

No but there's a fuckton of reasons not to use windows.

lmao who am I kidding, you don't care

no overwatch.. otherwise i probably would

>same for osx [regarding viruses]
No it isn't. When did a Linux OS ever get a virus?

>what is any crypto software ever

Here's 10 good reasons right here
