Patient zero might be dying, but the infection lives on.

Not really. Apple may finally go bankrupt in 2-4 years even with the iphone 7 but it doesn't mean they won't be replaced. Maybe x86 windows phones will take over apple's "muh logo" and no expandable memory business strategy.

that doesnt even look like a significant drop, im pretty sure apple will exist for the rest of our lives pham

That's a lewd image you got there user

Its 30% down from all time high, and below the peak in April, 2012, 3 years ago.

Finally the tech industry realizes it's true value.

$0

>its

Not the whole industry. Apple and Facebook primarily. They need to be shut down, offices raided, executives hung in the streets. Cook and Zuckerberg in particular need to be mutilated, crucified, and left to starve to death while on public display.

this desu senpai

apple is gonna implode like the chinese government will.

don't forget this guy. We can make a world wide holiday of it, something all of humanity can unite behind.

so not at all?

No, that's Yahoo.

Literally. Its current market value is equivalent to its holdings in Alibaba and Yahoo Japan. The rest of Yahoo is valued at zero dollars (and likely slightly less right now).

IDS HABBENIG

I mean, it's not like Apple hasn't contributed any worthwhile to consumer tech.

Although it was really Jobs that did it, if there's anything Apple/Jobs deserves to be credited with it's their design philosophy which everyone else copied.

I don't know if you remember what "smart" cell phones looked like and the UI you had to use before the iphone came along but they were fucking atrocious.

However now that Jobs is gone, I suspect we'll go back to the era of fucking awful designs for everything fairly quickly.

The only thing atrocious is the shiny touch toy cancer spread by iShit.

>I don't know if you remember what "smart" cell phones looked like and the UI you had to use before the iphone came along but they were fucking atrocious.

Unlike most of the underage here I did actually use the original iphone once. It UI sucked ass and was slow as balls. The browser was unusable whenever you scroll you'd just see the checker box pattern for a good 10 seconds. It didn't have apps, 3g, it couldn't do jack shit.

The iphone evolved along with the industry but for some reason people credit apple as if the original iphone invented third party apps and the candy bar design, despite both those being around for a decade before it.

>cancer
It's what people are buying and using and a technological inevitability.

yeah the original was garbage, I guess I should have clarified that it didn't' become usable until the app store showed up, even then it couldn't do MMS and other shit other phones had been doing forever.

I was only crediting it for the design not the tech

IT'S OVER APPLEL IS BANKRUPT AND FINISHED

Which is exactly what people hate it for. Apple never contributed anything of value to the industry. They just proved that shitty industrial design (the practice of designing the aesthetic first then engineering the functionality around the limiting design) and a shiny logo trumped actual value, functionality, and performance.

Then they took the industry down with them when every company desperately chased Apple's profit margin, crippling their once competitive and innovative products. That's why today we pretty much have no good choices for laptops or smartphones. You have to get fucked with some Android OEM or get fucked with Apple, or get fucked by MS.

>apple
>bankrupt

That is unlikely to happen, they could have an apple watch level failure every year for 100 years and still be fine.

Anyways the issue lately with Apple is that iPhone sales have pretty much peaked, the market is saturated and there just are no more untapped markets for the iphone.
People will still buy them, that is a given, but they will buy them on regular cycles which typical revolve around some 2 year commitment.

Anyways I have been saying for years that Apple is too dependent on the iPhone for revenue, something like 60% of its revenue comes from the iphone alone, so any dip/surge in sales for that device gets magnified even more when they report their financials.

>remember when people were making articles about Apple becoming a 1 trillion dollar company lel
honestly, it doesn't take a genius to see that double digit growth can't go on forever, eventually sales will flat line or decline.

What is your point here? Apple is a huge component of the nasdaq, if you didn't know that, almost 10% of it.

Apple isn't even part of the Dow Jones. Your argument has no merit.

Its not so so totally far fetched. Apple does have a little over $200billion in reserves.

The cost of bringing their overseas money home is ~40%, so considering 90+% of that is overseas, its 140B.

They have a huge amount of debt (80+billion) borrowed against their foreign useless money, and $50billion promised to shareholder through their capital return program.

They really only have 1/20th of what people claim. Not that they're hurting they have huge revenue. But everyone acts like Apple's core financials are super secure.

someone will just bail them out. again. for the third time.

>genius
are we talking apple genius or?

BUY BUY BUY

I'll give you laptops but not smartphones, the old designs were really shit.

>Its not so so totally far fetched. Apple does have a little over $200billion in reserves.

I feel it is, it will take several huge missteps for Apple to go bankrupt.

Also its worth noting that apple's sales numbers are down, it still made billions of dollars.
The bad news was all about that is sold less phones than in previous years.

>don't buy or sell stocks based on fads but do it based on financials

within the next 5 years its possible, unlikely though.

that statement means nothing.
You winning the lottery or having sex is possibility.

Very unlikely, but possible.

Want the first iPhone earth without changeable?

lmao if youre smart youll wait for it to drop a bit more and go long on it

>Styluses

>Apple isn't even part of the Dow Jones
Yes they are.
