guts thread - Old pics edition

newer picture for reference

these aren't changing until the next intel/amd cpus are out, and honestly my i7-2600K is still perfectly capable even then

>ITX in a ATX case
why

LH Side

I fell for the mITX meme and decided it was ultimately far more hassle, noise and heat than it was worth. That motherboard is the best one I own though (p8z77i-deluxe), so I'm still using it.

RH Side

what case is that?

I'm at work but who doesn't keep a guts picture on their phone for just such occasions?

What are your temps like at full load?

Really nice pictures!

Thanks user this is my first build as well. The case was super cheap but I actually really like it.

Frontal pic before i installed granite

Around 80C for both CPU and GPUs, the top 980Ti hits a couple degrees higher though for obvious reasons.

Synthetic benches for the results. The fans never rev up as much in games though so utilization rarely goes that high i guess. Sucks as it makes SLI useless often.

What kind of camera did you used ?

The rear camera on my s4 model number is SPH-L720

Can you tell me what this is this time?

Old one
4690k with r9 390

Nice try, p8z77i imposter, my setup was far more retarded.

New one 4790k and R9 Nano

Fuckin kek. I'd put a bigger dual radiator tho. And one of those super-long graphic cards.

>On the top I have a switch and on bottom a seven port USB 2.0 hub, with a 5v/4A charger, for power/data transfer. So far all I"ve done is attach the power and splice the old fan to a usb cord to give it all a little fresh air.
>I plan to put four Pi's in here, right where the CD Drive/Hard drives would have gone. Also I will have at least three hard drives screwed in underneath two of them.

They're a LTT Edition of the Noctua NF-F12. All black Noctuas? That aren't fuck-loud industrial ones? Yes please.

I like that back plate.

Honestly, i've been thinking about the 2000 RPM industrial noctuas. Regular are 1500RPM so 2000RPM, while it will be louder, is not gonna be CLOSE to the 3000RPM model.

They're probably really nice on a fan controller, where you can probably drop the RPM down to like 1,200.

You do realize they go down all the way to ~400 RPM, don't you? I mean the PPC-2000

Yeah, but under load I would still let them hit 100%.

Unless they really were ungodly loud.

I was unaware of that. Either way, these NF-F12's do a phenomenal job.

Yeah, they're great. I have a pair. I bought them originally to use on a NH-D14, but I found there would appear an annoying resonant frequency when I used them together so I shelved them for a while. The whole setup was just too loud. Now I'm using them on another rig on an 212 Evo, cooling a 3770k, and they're great. Sub 1000 RPM is adequately quiet.

Do you use afterburner to control your fans?

...

The brown and beige grew on me. I actually like it now.

Shoved the 3 stock 140mm fans in the top that don't turn on unless the cpu is at full load.

My old guts.

I just delete my old pics.

Thinking about picking up a 1070 when aftermarket models show up. I hope it ends up being great.
