What is Sup Forums opinion on visual code?

Is it better than vim?

I can't install it without the fucking bloatware, so I choose to remove everything altogether.

are you sure its code? looks like vs community

It's shit

Better than atom

It's shit.

Emacs is parsecs better.

Emacs is better.
This guy gets it.

>it's a "we make an editor by embedding chrome" episode
enjoy your bloatware

I like it. I was skeptical when I installed it but it's legitimately worked well for me so far.

>What is Sup Forums opinion on visual code?
it has the same intellisense/autocomplete engine as Visual Studio proper, which is absolutely unrivaled

inb4 emacs with 1000 user scripts and a user dictionary

> it has the same intellisense/autocomplete engine as Visual Studio proper, which is absolutely unrivaled

here, this is a big part of why I like it.

For what it's worth I don't think anything will ever be better than vim. The fundamental functionality of vim basically just represents being able to operate efficiently on a field of text, you can plug it into anything. That applies to other text editors too but I think vim is unmatched.

Or I dunno. I started using vim a week ago.

I think moving forward with vim makes the most sense if it hasn't for the last 15 years.

>windows
vs code is available on linux

this desu

Of course it's better than vim everything is better than that unpractical piece of shit

But everything else is better than vs code

Nothing competes with running your editor straight from your server

My entire programming environment is available to me anywhere, on any OS.

fuck docker

VM?

No, I am using PuTTY to connect through my server via SSH

>through
to*

It's certainly worse than Jetbrains products

So not running a distro of GNU+Linux on a virtual box and connecting to it? Can this be done?

Are you retarded?

This. JetBrains are the only ones that can do anything correct.

The fuck is this post

MS VS ? You mean Microcuck Viral Shitshow?
It's a cluster fuck of Microsoft products and programs.
If it was a pure IDE, I'd be fine with it.
But ms is business oriented, so they gear the whole environment to creating apps and programs for windblows 8. 1 or 10, and for microshit products.

I am running Arch on my server and I connect to it with SSH on any computer

Yep. Integrated Framework plugins, database plugins, VCS, fantastic debugger, refactoring, running/deployment environments, integration with ssh, virtual environments and vagrant, etc. Discovering it from work was the best fucking thing
