I'll start first. I previously used PIA and then switched to Nordvpn to increase privacy and security. Based in Panama, zero logs, SSL 2048 bit encryption, AES-256-CBC double encrypted.

That's pretty sweet. I just use VPNBook or FreeVPN but you know, they're free services so whatever.

PIA. I don't believe anyone who says "no logs". Go make a death threat against some important head of state and see how anonymous you aren't.

Just switched to Nord too. PIA was often giving me ridiculously slow torrent speed no matter what I did

Cyberghost is alright I guess

>"We don't log anything!"

maybe one of you can help me out?

VPNgate

OP, you are aware SSL is deprecated, right?

You need a chain of 2 VPN's, m8.

>not being behind 7 proxies and 7 VPN's

vpn.ccrypto.org/

...

Who is behind NordVPN? Do they have people in place to guarantee the physical security of their servers? Without knowing that, how can it be trusted?

how is the dl speed of VPNBook?
I have a VPN for my PC, but I need one for my RPi2 to stream movies and live-TV without getting into any risk

My own VPS.

> not buying VPN which allows multiple simultaneous connections

Wow great anonymity. Tied to an IP which you pay for with your credit card or Paypal.

I just use torguard 30bucks a year for life is pretty nice

Have you ever heard of a thing called bitcoins?

First of all, I don't use VPN for anonymity. I'm not retarded enough to think that a vpn will provide me anonymity.
Second you can find a vps provider which accepts bitcoin payments.

whats your setup?

I heard ubuntu + openVPN is the best if you dont know what your doing

>Based in Panama, zero logs, SSL 2048 bit encryption, AES-256-CBC double encrypted

Stop doing illegal things on the internet so you won't need to be so paranoid. Having extraordinary security to hide your online footprint actually puts you on shitlist of authorities.

The irony.

...

Im on ubuntu+openvpn
Yeah it's good if you don't know what you're doing because there are many guides on the web for installing it correctly for ubuntu

What's the point of using VPN if I'm not doing anything illegal?

>Americuck logic

Everybody has a need for confidentiality, even for legal activities. A VPN makes perfect sense for increasing your security on networks that provide poor protection for its users.

kinda unrelated,
I fucked up netflix + vpn. I switched vpn server to the US server, while being logged in to netflix. First it worked, but after that netflix has blocked my US vpn.

wat do?

its secure.

also

it allows you to do more embarrassing viral marketing for the presidential campaign that hired you with no chance of blowback

I'm not even in America you shitter

Nothing you can do really.

Netflix banned most of VPNs like a few months ago.

>CBC not XTS

Weak AF familam

>VPN
>user
Wew, thanks for the chuckle.

it depends
I use it to bypass my country's censorship (they block Sup Forums ffs)

sandnigger detected

This. Always layer your anonymous network usage. The secret service told me they have no file on me.

>nothing to hide
Jump off something tall

say that to my face not online and see what happens

>The secret service told me they have no file on me.
Were they trying to hold back laughter as they told you this?

go fuck a goat Ahmed

...

they work fine with popcorntime though

FOIA request.

I wouldn't trust something based in Panama to hide your illegal activities hehe

Sick burn

...

I've only used PIA, Froot, and AirVPN but AirVPN is head and shoulders above the other two. But then again, I'm on a gigabit connection at home so none of them even come close to saturating my line.

How is CBC weak?

I didn't bought the VPN
I just abused a trick for multiple one month trial-codes

Why exactly would the secret service have a file on you anyway? Have you been printing fake money, user?

Foia request is free. You can find form letters online.

...Uhh, wut?

where u live?

Turkey

Literally JUST change your DNS. All blocks bypassed(Sup Forums, imgur, pastebin etc) except for porn.

*including porn

yeah except you can't change your dns on ios without jailbreaking

The only way I can access most porn sites is via Tor, however I can access "regular" blocked sites without doing anything special. What sorcery are you doing that you can bypass porn blocks using DNS?

>iOS
Found your problem.

>streaming porn

i use my own vpn setup on digital ocean vps. torrenting is allowed in my country so i only use it to unlock region locked contents on some websites.

lol don't be stupid VPNs aren't to hide from institutions, but just datamining companies and DMCA stuff.

vpn.ccrypto.org

>mfw all of you guys care about privacy
I on the other hand need a VPN just to browse the internet normally

Viva la PRC!

My own VPS as well

I recently got Mullvad.
Not sure if there's something better or what else I could do for better privacy.
I haven't even torrented anything because I'm not sure if this is all I'd need. I'm mostly trying to escape my monopoly, NSA-tier ISP who says they'll take away my service with no second chance if they catch me torrenting again.

>who says they'll take away my service with no second chance if they catch me torrenting again.
>no second chance
>again
. . .

That would be a 'third chance'

Probably...
But my point was I won't be able to get it back, and they've kept all other ISPs out, so I have to be careful.

What VPN lets you post on 4chin?

PIA and paid Sup Forums account

>it allows you to do more embarrassing viral marketing for the presidential campaign that hired you with no chance of blowback
t. Trumpcuck

i'll be using my first VPN in the near future, thought about going PIA. i'll probably get 6-8 MB/s Download speeds, is PIA fast enough to handle that?
also, does using a VPN increase ping while gaming?

>also, does using a VPN increase ping while gaming?
Almost always

I had a really hard time running torrents on PIA with any sort of decent speed, so if straight up torrenting or shit like popcorntime are your goals then not sure it's the best idea, but maybe it's just me being a tech illiterate.
Have no problems torrenting reliably with 1+MB/s on Nord one though if I use Russian servers.

>vps provider which accepts bitcoin payments.

such as?

duckduckgo.com/?q=vps bitcoin

Raspberry Pi and BananaPi for BTC, no questions asked:
prq.se

Soooo, I could get a VPN and start torrenting shit? Even here in germany where I would get a letter from a lawyer?

>prq

No, I'm not prepared to pay 20 times what VPS costs at other hosting companies for muh anonymity.

The dedicated RPI 2 is only about 21 EUR / month

im germany, i recently got a letter and im now going to get a VPN. yes, apparently youre good to go as long as you pick a VPN that doesnt keep logs

I'm glad no one mentions the one I use. I won't tell you which one. otherwise Netflix will block it

>only

Of course a VPN doesn't increase your ping.

That's a fair price for anonymity

what kinda download speeds are you people getting with torrents, and which VPN are you using?

Very satisfied with AirVPN, they've been getting a lot of new servers lately

Best one :^)

ovpn.se/en

Why does OpenVPN make my speeds shit on my laptop?

I can get 220mbits on wifi. When I boot up OpenVPN my max speeds are around 30mbits.. It's not the server, or the wifi drivers.. It's gotta be openVPN.

none because im not a fucking pedo with something to hide

user asked why the "secret service" would have a file on you, not about FOIA requests. Fact is, no one actually has a file on you because the only mildly interesting thing you've ever done is spank it to some Korean cartoons depicting girls of a questionable age, and honestly no one cares.

Aren't they the same thing

youd speak differently if someone forced you to pay 500 bucks cause you torrented the hateful eight

Sometimes it can be a lot more if you torrented a lot more shit.

XTS is for disk encryption, you nigger, plus it's weak

any mode that has a feedback of some sort is vulnerable to propagation leaks, that's why you should use modes like CTR or authenticated variants like GCM, or if you're intelligent just use ChaCha20 w/ Poly 1305

IPredator

NordVPN, PIA, TorGuard, openVPN, AirVPN seem to be the winners of this thread so far.

Do any of them support >90mpbs download? That's what I pay for and I'd like to still get it in torrents when I use VPN. Every VPN I've trialed has been very slow.

What are you saying. Adding physical distance (more copper) between you and the server will increase your ping

Try harder.

I'm being serious. Am I dumb?
