BTFO, bankrupt and finished

How can AMD compete when Intel already has a 10 core? Zen will only have 8 cores and I'm sure their IPC won't be 25% higher than Broadwell.

There will be Zen chips with 16 cores.

They can't.

It's over, AMD is finished.

>How can AMD compete
the smaller you are, the less you need to eat to survive

>Broadwell-E
Literally AMD tier.

Waiting for Skylake-E.

That thing is just trash.

Can we expect better performance with the upcoming generation of chips?

>workstation CPU
>waaah it isn't better for my manchild toys
End your life.

Don't feed the troll

>half the single-thread performance
>1700 US DOLLARS
>Literally can get better Xeons for less
>Inteldrones defend this

>720p

>unlocked multiplier

the only thing holding it back is clock speeds because its 140W TDP OOB

if you watercool you can probably post sikk cinebench scores

It is to eliminate GPU bottleneck

and by the way the 6900X is not a "workstation" chip.

companies don't build workstations

they buy them from HP/Dell for next / same day onsite warranty and as said there are comparable Xeons for less, along with the option to go dual-CPU.

Because this costs the same price as a used sedan

According to reviews these things quickly housefire north of 4GHz. The haswell-based ones overclocked much better.

>How can AMD compete when Intel already has a 10 core?
Simple. Zen won't be sold for 1.5k dollars.

At Zen's price range, the most Intel will give you is 6 cores (probably 4 considering they jacked up the prices real bad).

>workstation CPU

Rendering gayme videos for your Youtube channel doesn't count as work, gaymer scum. Real workstations contain a Xeon.

They are "enthusiast" chips. That means nerds buy them to make other nerds jealous.

>lock ECC and QPI
>sell "enthusiast" chip at 500% markup
>lock multiplier
>sell "professional" chip at 400% markup
With Intel, you always lose.

>10 core
>16 cores

Implying the number of cores is going to have any significant effect in a workstation when a Knights Landing has 72.

>Real workstations contain a Xeon.
This is why 10 cores in an i7 doesn't make any sense.

>$1700 USD

Xeons are for servers. Most "workstations" are just crappy prebuilt PCs with mid range CPU and integrated graphics unless they really need something better.

AMD and Nvidia are finished. Just use intel with integrated graphics.

GPUFAGS BTFO
NVIDIA AND AMD ARE FINISHED AND BANKRUPT
