Okay my gniggers, just installed Xubuntu and it looks archaic. What's your go to tweak for XFCE?

Using gnome on wayland.

>and it looks archaic
That is its appeal, though.

looks porn

Adjusting the panel settings to change font, hide window titles, etc. and picking a nice icon pack.

heh, sorry kid.. i use grown up desktop environments

Theme it like Windows 95.

Numix + Elementary.

I made a step by step guide a year ago on how to do it properlike:

numix theme

go to snwh.org and install Moka or Paper.

Alternatively, look up Numix

Grown-ups don't use desktop environments.

>top bar of windows has buttons and elements clogging it up, making it difficult to grab hold of the window if you want to drag it around

I want this design meme to end.

How about you grab the giant fucking title bar, or just hold alt

This is really dope. What theme are you using?

>and it looks archaic

No. It looks functional. Lightweight. Utilitarian. You go ricing it up you miss the whole point.

It's an Mac OS 9 Platinum theme, i'm assuming this one

>functional for one is archaic for other.

This

>no control strip/10

YOU'RE THE 100.000TH VISITOR TOO?

Seriously though, Hiroshimoot needs to screen these ads before I turn my ad blocker on again.

For fuck's sake, it's using XP-era fake windows.

>not loving ads from 2003

its a malware kinda feel

A control strip can be crudely emulated with a custom dock with hide buttons shown, desu

Numix or Arc or something is good for theme, Numix or Paper is good for icons. Just look around, take a look at desktop threads.
