Why is smartphone tech so stagnate ?

Its topped out.

Theres only so thin you can make shit before it starts to become shit.

Every single phone is now
5.5" no smaller or bigger
Absolutely no reason going from a note 2 5.5" to another
5.5" phone
I don't cafe about gimmicks or resolution
Don't need 2k 4k or even 1080p to shitpost on Sup Forums

>Why is smartphone tech so stagnate

It isn't, it's just really saturated so software works on everything.

Hardware is moving by leaps and bounds but there's no real reason to buy a new phone every year.

google is retarded however, no desktop environment for Android, they should get on that

I have a Nexus 2 2012, never even considered buying another one, since all I do with it is watching videos/streams and casually browse the web in bed

Up until ~2010 most phones were still shit. After that hardware became powerful enough to run anything a phone needs to do.

My iPhone 5 is running like new on iOS9

yeah but what about that 5 day mobile shitposting marathon innawoods?

I'm holding onto my nexus 6 until there is a good waterproof phone.

SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF THIS

I have a solar panel and a 26800 mah anker battery bank
Try a month long + inna woods as long as the sun rises and shines Mr freeman I will shitpost

S7

It's nice that your Note 2 is holding out but a newer phone would be an upgrade in just about every way.

who /stillusinganokia2690/ here?

Got a moto x pure
Returned it after a month because LCD are terrible imo

is it waterproof enough so if i get pushed into a pool or fall out of a boat it will be alright.

>Pushed into a pool
Yep
>fall off a boat
Good luck finding your phone back.

>keep using Nexus 5 until it breaks and then replace it with whatever is the latest reasonably sized (no more than 5.5" screen) Nexus

How much was the solar set up? I see prebuilt kits and diy stuff and cannot tell what is shit and what is worth the money. I go camping frequently and don't use my phone but having a radio/mp3 player would be nice now that I think about it.

google is probably focus on self driving cars and other stuff so they can pass up apple in market cap and become the largest company in the world

if you had it in your pocket it would likely stay in there. Im talking a speedboat or a sailboat not a cruise ship.

>implying Google (oracle) employees who develop android also develop self driving cars

you mean Google (alphabet)

yea,i meant to say alphabet

hardware is ok, software is shit. especially android.
