Why is CAPTCHA so interested in store fronts?

Explain

Because.

because reasons

google maps

>tfw you do it for free...for google
>tfw you are the product

I fucking can't stand the "store front" captcha, I always refresh it immediately if I see them trying to pull that bullshit on me

Because they they run OCR on the pic to improve Google maps

>select all rivers
>it starts loading new ones in

Don't forget you can switch to legacy captcha in the settings.

So it can learn patterns that might help differentiate between shops and other places like residential homes, apartments, municipal services, etc.
And so they can come closer to automatically building a database of businesses from their street view or other image data. Right now they depend on people to manually enter where businesses are. But in the future they could scan the latest street view images, notice a new store front, recognize poster of an ice cream cone, then determine it's probably an ice cream parlor.

>select all X
>loads one new X
>click that X
>slow as fuck transition shit
>it's another X
>click that X
>slow as fuck transition shit
>it's another X
>click that X
>slow as fuck transition shit
>it's another X
>goes on for 10+ times

God the transition is fucking bullshit. Also I find clicking them a chore on pc compared to tablet/phone.

Just refresh the captcha and get a regular one

tfw we are working for free

We're getting paid with use of their products

Stop using meme formats.

...

Look at the file sizes.

I don't use their products.

Fuck off.

Should have uploaded in raw.

Small but the quality is also shit.

You like me don't you?

>has to reload every 2 seconds
Meme format.

?

If webm is too good where is the transparency?

what is OCR?

Looks like someone has a 1mb connection

>has to reload every 2 seconds
Are you trying to view it on an iphone?

TOP KEK

>Fails

What the fuck is a chemin?

webm related has transparency

Noice

proof

>phone users

When is hiroshimoot going to nuke them?

No, it doesn't.

4u

Stop using a shitty browser.

I LOVE KOMA-CHAN

I've been looking for the GIF to turn into a webm. Thanks user.

Every time I get one of those, I just immediately report it as an unsolvable captcha.

It solves by itself for me (:

it's a lot easier to write a program to read google maps and copy all their data then it is to drive a truck around and read/recognize all the signs you see. still no one does that because we're all lazy and entitled.

What a shit quality. Just change your ISP, ffs

Are you logged on any Google service?

No, I browse Sup Forums in private window.

It pretty much looks the same. Actually I have a very good isp. 24mbps cumcast with no data cap (yet). The reason I'm turning stuff into Webms is becuase they're smaller. Doesn't make sense to use more storage/bandwith for no improved perceptual quality.

Strange, Google thinks your PC is safe for some reason.

This has been happening only recently, for the past week or so.

What's the difference? It's not your bandwidth and it will cleaned anyway. The only difference is that you are using more CPU power to renderize it.

You are part of the botnet now.

Lol, I doubt (;

>The only difference is that you are using more CPU power to renderize it.
Not really, this is why I include -t 2 -r 1 parameters to avoid unnecessary cpu utilization.

Tits or kys

Look at this special snowflake

>Not enabling legacy captcha

Jesus man just fucking kill yourself

Why are you namefagging?

No. Also this is a safeboard

Because I can. Feel free to do the same.

I don't know if it's just here, but legacy just give me near impossible captchas to solve

Attention whore

I can also make a frog give me head. But I don't.

>implying legacy captcha is any better and you're not being cucked to transcribe google books.

does anyone else try to intentionally mislead the captcha? If you select three, and find the two most obvious and select an ambiguous one, you can sometimes get it to pass.

I just hope whatever I'm doing is misleading their shitty pattern recognition networks that we're probably training

Sometimes

>jewgle captcha is used rarely
>usually only for verification purposes
>forum registrations
>account recovery
>passwords
>etc

>every single post on 4chinz requires captcha
>jewgle's face when Sup Forums is literally the biggest botnet on the planet

PSA
DISABLE THE GOOGLE CAPCHA COOKIE WHEN USING LEGACY CAPCHA AND YOU ONLY EVER GET EASY CAPCHAS

how should I disable it
