>Second Life
Are you mentally challenged m8
I used to run Emerald back when I had linux, I remember that window would open when I'd run it, are you sure your executing the right file and not the console window?
I’d just like to interject for a moment. What you’re refering to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Linux”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU project.
There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

Don't waste your second life, bruh. You will need it after you have used linux to switch back to windows.
tfw used to go to AA meetings on sl and there would be 4 people in a meeting max
Isn't there a launch script? I remember there being that AND the actual executable was labeled "DO NOT DIRECTLY RUN"
the firestorm launcher is a bash script, open it with an editor, ffind the lines with the /usr/.../dri or something and erase or comment all this lines
#if [ $MULTIARCH_ERR -eq 0 ]; then
# echo 'Multi-arch support detected.'
# MULTIARCH_GL_DRIVERS="/usr/lib/${I386_MULTIARCH}/dri"
# export LIBGL_DRIVERS_PATH="${LIBGL_DRIVERS_PATH}:${MULTIARCH_GL_DRIVERS}:/usr/lib64/dri:/usr/lib32/dri:/usr/lib/dri"
#else
# export LIBGL_DRIVERS_PATH="${LIBGL_DRIVERS_PATH}:/usr/lib64/dri:/usr/lib32/dri:/usr/lib/dri"
#fi
Even SL forums are full of retards who never give this answer.
Are you sure you're actually using x86_64 Ubuntu? Have you tried the 32-bit version of Firestorm rather than the 64-bit version?
I had the same problem and fix it with this.
Why the everliving FUCK would you want to "play" Second Life?
Mentally Ill the thread
>I play SL when nobody watches me
There's nothing to play.
What is second life linux?
Using the marketplace and a little skill you can make a character for basically any fetish
I have a twin headed fatass anime girl with a dick
But fucking why?
Because looking at my character gives me an erection

>do-not-directly-run-firestorm-bin
