jesus
Are you the guy who bought seven of that set?
Noob here. Just bought an Steelseries M800 with a gift card. It was only £80, down from £140. Is it alright? I have a shitty membrane keyboard.
Not what I'd recommend to anyone looking for a mech, but if you got it with a gift card that you couldn't have used for much else it's fine.
Why did you upload a webm of a still picture?
>reduced file size
>original file less than a megabyte
are you still using floppy disks?
God no. Not the worst idea if you're looking to turn a small profit though.
I want to get a different keyboard, so I might as well
>Budget
£90.
I don't want to spend more than £90 on a keyboard, it seems unreasonable, to me.
>Location (continent at least)
England // Mainland UK
>Preferred switch type
Not Kailh red. I don't like the feel, they're too easy to push and I struggle to not miss press keys; they actuate to easily, IMHO
>Layout
ISO, preferably
>Form factor
80% or 100%. 80% idealy, but 100% is also good
>Backlight
IF it doesn't add to price too much, then sure, if not then leave it.
>Previous/current keyboards
a zalman mechanical keyboard with kailh reds, specificaly the ZM-K500 (amazon.co.uk
Ideally not a linear switch, since I don't like the feel when typing.
Also the FAQ pastebin don't work.
>budget
$100-$150
>location
USA
>preferred switch type
I was told Cherry Reds were the best for gaming, maybe I'm wrong
>layout
Standard ANSI
>form factor
one hunnit percent
>backlight
I like backlighting but I don't want something that screams GAYMER
>previous
I've never had a mechanical keyboard, which is mainly why I want to switch. I've only used my laptop keyboard and a standard circuit keyboard
get a ducky
and the switch you choose is not gonna make you any better at games
Ducky Shine 5
I am the only one here who types 90% with just their index fingers? who's/ index finger masterrace/ here/
>I am the only one here who types 90% with just their index fingers?
hopefully
new unicomp springs ordered
this thing is such a waste of money might as well make it as nice as i can
let me guess, you can totally touch type just fine
i bet you even break 30 wpm sometimes
>Budget
I don't want Topre, so, not worried about budget
>Location (continent at least)
England
>Preferred switch type
Cherry Clear
>Layout
ISO.
>Form factor
TKL is the only real requirement.
Avoiding gaps between rows/areas like those Noppoos would be nice, but I do want the arrow/home/end etc. keys
>Backlight
White
>Previous/current keyboards
Filco Majestouch 2 TKL, Cherry Reds.
Try 110 wpm
with just your index fingers? im gonna need some proof to believe that
...
using all your fingers is a fucking meme
Sup Forums and the sunk cost fallacy are my OTP
go ahead and prove it b8master
good thing i have the income to support my stupid purchases
i just found out amazon.de has the magicforce 68 with gateron switches, time to learn ANSI international
Do you have a picture of your entire collection?
How good are CODE keyboards?
mediocre caps, nothing special case with decent build quality and standard layout
no
i would have to take them all out
there's a couple in pieces because i'm waiting for stuff
youtu.be
Interesting things coming from Vortex.
ID on top, grey board?
Are you ever going to trim that fucking wooden board?
Model M terminal emulators are garbage.
>emulators
wot?
Get a QFR with reds for cheap, or get yourself a kit with gaterons from china
Nice, too bad that Ducky isn't doing anything half as interesting as Vortex
Keyboard that came with an Olivetti L1
Nope, it's going to stay like that. I quite like the aesthetic of it, and the friend I'm making it for likes it too (doesn't get in the way of typing either). It reminds me of the Apple m0110
gaterons are on massdrop atm aswell
You should angle the edges of the wood like the M0110, it would look nice
What's /mkg/'s opinion on the Ducky Shine 5?
I got a mechanical keyboard a few months ago cherry mx red. I do not like it at all. I prefer the sound of Topre switches and I prefer the feel of membrane keyboards.
Is there anything for me or should I just go back to membrane?
You can always get a HHKB
55g Topre.
If you don't like linear, you don't like linear. Personally I quite like light linear switches, and I dislike clicky tacticles. Have yet to try zealios, and topres.
>$100-250
>US
>Brown (i want tactile with a "crunchy" sound, not clicky and loud)
>ANSI
>TKL
>No backlight. I want it to look as non-rice as possible.
>Currently using a CM Storm with cherry red switches, and it's okay I guess.
Which one is better in that same price range?
Ducky, Model F for full-sized, Filco for TKL
KUL ES-87
Will check them out. Thanks!
fuck that price
fuck massdrop
where can i get them for cheaper?
aliexpress and taobao
You can order a nice cheap kit from aliexpress, especially if you go for a plastic case. Lets you put in whatever switches you want too.
the only ones i find are more expensive then massdrop
Anyone in Scandinavia know where you can get your clammy hands on a switch sampler?
>Budget
Location (continent at least)
US
>Preferred switch type
Blues or something else clicky
>Layout
ANSI
>Form factor
100%
>Backlight
Indifferent
>Previous/current keyboards
Logitech G110
Is the Ducky One any good? I was considering the CM Quickfire XT but the caps look terrible.
Board is great
>reds
Does this post mean that the board is great except for the reds, or the board is great because of the reds?
former
there is nothing wrong with reds though
this is a misleading statement
Is the AZIO MGK any good?
elaborate
there is something wrong with reds
yeah, elaborate on what is wrong with reds you fucking sperg
Considering a new kb from pckeyboard or Unicomp but was told that you should only buy restored ones from them. The guy who told me is of questionable competency so I thought I'd ask here.
Are they nice? Anyone purchased one before?
They're OK, a used IBM-built model F or even M would be much better quality (and cost the same or less). Plastic is much thinner on the case/caps, and have pretty bad quality control.
provided that the plastic rivets are intact
You can find it eBay with free shipping.
wooting one when
this is an expensive piece of garbage
Post more 75% keyboards
I want to get one as my 2nd mechanical keyboard as I've had the same one for years
...
Theres no print on the keys? How do you know which buttons you're pressing? :)
0/10
Theres no reason not to have print on the keys, its objectively stupid
0/10 for you, you fucking hipster.
0/10
hipster faggot
muh im so smart i dont need letters on my board, i have them memorized xDDDDDDDDDDd le elite hacker

Yes while you're the try hard with a blank keyboard
>that buyers remorse

0/10
Hint: you have a blank keyboard as well
(Hint: you seem to be having trouble locating the shift key)
0/10
Your're both fucking autistic
>Your're
inb4
This keyboard, although containing labels, looks old and ugly as fucking shit
well it is old
old and ugly as shit
this one is a little better, but still old and incomplete (missing buttons)
your keyboard lacks an important feature. what you're doing is like buying jeans with holes in them.
well it is missing some buttons
0/10
Are you really that mad at people who don't have labels on their keyboard?
Must really hurt your little brain that some people don't need labels on their keys. I type in 2 languages (Latin and Cyrillic alphabet) with no problem.
This ones also inadequate in terms of buttons, but it looks a bit better, but still pretty ugly
Its just so tryhard and gay and screams look at me
having no labels serves zero (0) purpose
