Serious question about windows 10. I don't come here often so forgive me for my ignorance, but why are people so against upgrading to windows 10? It works smooth, the download was hitchless all of my programs work fine.
To be honest all I see when people refuse to upgrade from XP or 7 or vista or whatever it is people cling to these days is >"oog oog me not upgrade from rock, rock smash good me not need new rock"
Sorry crossbordie, the only people who care about windows are Sup Forumsermins and other drooling autists. These threads are not welcome here.
Thomas Wright
Your image has me wondering, do you like 10 oneesan watching you masturbate?
Blake Walker
Had Microsoft made it optional instead of constantly trying to shove it down peoples throats and then deny constantly trying to shove it down peoples throats, I don't think anyone would care.
Lucas Wilson
Autistic people can't deal with changes easily. They need everything in their daily rutine to be in a specific way, otherwise they will get upset and some even will have a meltdown.
Evan Brown
You know what triggers me the most in windows 10? Slow as fuck Explorer search. It's just fucking unbelievable how they managed to fuck this up. With indexing on or off it aint matter - this shit takes CENTURIES to find anything.
Any third-party tool starts displaying the results in a fraction of a second as soon as I start typing, but not a fucking built-in search engine.
Caleb Sanders
Well windows 10 is a worse operating system than windows 7, for a start.
Did windows 7 not work smooth?
Mason Morgan
>works smooth What do you mean works smooth? Fuck off, Sup Forums. There is no reason to run a spyware OS in 2016
Anthony Sanchez
It's because of the telemetry features built in that microsoft uses to improve our experience with windows 10. Sup Forums here is worried about their privacy because they fap to loli porn. Imo you shouldn't fear surveillance if you have nothing to hide. Only criminals have something to hide.
Robert Taylor
You have nothing to hide because you are an insignificant pro nudist cuck
Alexander Taylor
Win 10 is just a bad product. This is what happens when you get rid of all your developers and pay poo in the loos with indoor plumbing to build an OS. If I wanted a third world OS, I'd just use Linux.
Daniel Rodriguez
Telemetry. I work a wagecuck PC technician job. We've had several instances where win10 downloaded itself on a computer despite updates being turned off, and without prompting the user.
It's an improvement over 8. But that's not much of a compliment.
Brayden Ward
Like there are any non obsolete operating system which are not made by poos anyway. Even applel fell for loo meme.
Landon Harris
I have nothing to hide because I am a law abiding citizen. Only thugs are afraid of windows 10.
Hudson Collins
Yeah let's see your facebook id and proof
Jayden Jones
I won't give my facebook id to a random Sup Forums user. There is a good chance that you aren't a government official. Please refrain from those hideous tactics and download windows 10.
Aiden Reyes
Perhaps so. I will ride Windows 7 into 2020 and then decide where to go then.
Josiah Collins
>This much backpedalling hahahaha pathetic wincuck being pathetic
Xavier Peterson
Nice strawman bro, keep enjoying your loli porn
Oliver Thompson
ok i'll answer to you honestly op
first i hate the fact that they push it so much. not that important but it's the cherry on top.
second i don't like that you can't control the updates on win10. my graphics card only works with a specific driver and newer drivers bsod it. there are legit reasons to have more control to updates if you want to. it's not like a phone in which it's the same hardware microsoft approved.
third is telemetry. not so much the spying part but the use of my bandwidth all the time for this useless shit. goodbye wifi tethering from phone if you ever needed it.
and last but not least it's the fact that they can apparently uninstall programs after an update that they think will not work after the update without even telling you.
Ayden Parker
What are you hiding from us?

>Arguing that you don't care about the right to privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different than saying you don't care about free speech because you have nothing to say.
Asher Torres
Nothing to hide Nothing to wear
Carson Rivera
Don't switch.
To be honest if you have to ask then that's generally a sign that you shouldn't.
Leo Campbell
it makes sense that they say that when you consider that the average IQ is 100.
Liam Morgan
What are they doing with my so called 'data'? Throw me ads I never watched even once? Send shit to nsa about a random non-american living in non-american soil? Yeah send them my browser history, I hope they enjoy the furshit I had open yesterday as much as I did.
Isaiah White
They make money on your data and they do not share with you. That is like if you were forced (not asked if like to help - forced) to work for free (not even for food).
Jordan Perez
they are using your bandwidth for one.
Tyler Garcia
Are you serious?
Data is the most valuable thing in the next century and they are trying to create an universal home surveillance.
The OS is free. You pay them with all your data and access to your files and folders.
The data will be sold to the ad farms and secret services and highest bidders.
Jacob King
>A child born today will grow up with no conception of privacy at all. They’ll never know what it means to have a private moment to themselves, an unrecorded, unanalyzed thought. And that’s a problem because privacy matters; privacy is what allows us to determine who we are and who we want to be.
Lincoln Stewart
>privacy is what allows us to determine who we are and who we want to be. Privacy is anarchy and dangerous.
Ethan Sanders
>Abandoning open society for fear of terrorism is the only way to be defeated by it.
Micrcrosoft automatically downloads Windows 10 on PCs running Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 (between 3.5GB and 6GB), even if users have not opted-in: archive.is/CEvKh
Microsoft proudly presents surveillance statistics: archive.is/MB0Yy
> Over 82 billion photos viewed. > Gamers spent over 4 billion hours playing PC games. > 44.5 billion minutes/month spent in Microsoft Edge. > Over 2.5 billion questions asked of Cortana since launch. > Windows 10 now active on over 200 million devices.
Anthony Collins
>The OS is free. You pay them with all your data
Exactly, and it has happened countless times before. The problem here is you have the idea of "personal information" since it comes directly from a personal use device, but dedicated ads existed long before this. Hell data collecting isn't even exclusive to electronic devices, let alone windows 10
Adrian Brown
>fear of terrorism Wrong. Fear of lack of progress. Only through proper indoctrination and collective steering can we ensure that society moves forward. Individualism and personal freedom leads to degeneracy and ineffectiveness.
What use do we have for artists and philosophers and so-called free spirits who do nothing but leech of welfare and engage in sexual degeneracy and egocentrically worshipping the self.
Levi Davis
See Personal freedom is the cancer that is currently stalling the progress of human race and the collective well-being of us all.
Jose Moore
Can't disable updates. Even if you are OK with the current version it does not mean you like whatever future brings.
Leo Turner
people thinking like you are the actual leeches of society.
James Wilson
What is the point in progress if we can't live to enjoy it?
Benjamin Scott
Your lack of argument and immediate attack on my person instead is noted.
Enjoyment is a construct of the brain that can easily be moulded. If we (re)build society as one that appreciates labour as the ultimate form of enjoyment, we are bound to get somewhere.
Many people enjoy working, many other people have hobbies which entail creating something. Do you think you somehow have the right to sit on your lazy ass and do nothing except watch television?
And, on a side note, do you think any other mammals have such concept of "enjoyment"? They all struggle to survive.
Liam Morris
Your argument makes no sense. They are not "forcing" me to use their os.
Owen Collins
That reminds me I can't remember the search thing Sup Forums uses
Julian Russell
>Enjoyment is a construct of the brain that can easily be moulded. If we (re)build society as one that appreciates labour as the ultimate form of enjoyment, we are bound to get somewhere. That's never gonna happen though. You and I both know it. >Do you think you somehow have the right to sit on your lazy ass and do nothing except watch television? Yes? Why shouldn't it? As long as I have the means to do so.
>And, on a side note, do you think any other mammals have such concept of "enjoyment"? They all struggle to survive. I don't see how that is relevant. But yes, a huge amount of animals have a concept of enjoyment.
Xavier Williams
newsflash - everything is a construct of the brain. you still feel the enjoyment and it's still nice. there's no real free will but you still like the illusion.
>Do you think you somehow have the right to sit on your lazy ass and do nothing except watch television?
yeah cuz the "efficient" society you imagine is totally made with people working and not everything substituted with machines and robots eventually so we can sit on our asses all day.
>And, on a side note, do you think any other mammals have such concept of "enjoyment"? They all struggle to survive.
citation needed friend. a lot of animals do have the concept of enjoyment.
Jordan Diaz
>That's never gonna happen though. You and I both know it. IS, Iran, various communist states, etc have all managed to do so, and the only reason why they fail is because the arrogant west interfere and force their concept of "personal freedom" down everyone's throat. It is disgusting.
>Yes? Why shouldn't it? As long as I have the means to do so. It is wasteful, selfish and arrogant. You burn 2000+ kcal every day, most of that comes from killing other sentient beings. Do you really think squandering it away is justifiable?
It's despicable and disgusting, user. You should be ashamed of yourself.
>I don't see how that is relevant. But yes, a huge amount of animals have a concept of enjoyment. Enjoyment for these creatures are when e.g. they have sex (which for most animals, at least for the females, is far from enjoyable) or have enough food, when their babies manages on their own etc. In other words, things that are directly related to survival and furthering of their own species.
Noah Rogers
>everything is a construct of the brain That's a false statement and you know it. You cannot change your brain into denying itself basic needs for survival, for example.
>you still feel the enjoyment and it's still nice. Enjoyment can be felt when you do good for the collective too. There is no interpretation of the word "enjoyment" that inherently means "only things that are acts of utter selfishness are enjoyable".
>there's no real free will but you still like the illusion. It doesn't matter in this case. If there is free will, you should be willing to work for the collective. If there isn't free will, well, you should still work for the collective.
In this discussion it is irrelevant.
>yeah cuz the "efficient" society you imagine is totally made with people working and not everything substituted with machines and robots eventually so we can sit on our asses all day. That is not the purpose of robots. The purpose of automatons and robots is so we can do OTHER kind of work (than e.g. manual labour), not sit around and do nothing.
>citation needed friend. a lot of animals do have the concept of enjoyment. Do you want me to prove a negative? Prove to me that there isn't a teapot in orbit around mars.
Luis Perez
>And, on a side note, do you think any other mammals have such concept of "enjoyment"? They all struggle to survive.
I don't know dude, my cat likes to play for the sake of playing. So do larger, wild cats like lions.
Gavin Brooks
>play for the sake of playing I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but they play for the sake of honing their hunting skills.
Sebastian Evans
Other mammals, such as monkeys and apes, play too. For the sake of bonding with their group/tribe and for the sake of learning other valuable skills.
Only humans would invent a selfishness device that not only allows them to literally waste energy by doing nothing constructive, and not only make them dumber, but also brainwash them and expose them to so-called "reality programs" that teaches them that worshipping the self and being utterly egoistic is the ultimate virtue.
