PCPartPicker Thread

Anyone care to rate my planned first build?
pcpartpicker.com/user/lbazyaka/saved/fgg8TW
I don't care about not needing that much RAM
Also don't care that I won't be able to use freesync with Nvidia card
Just wanna know if the list is ok

shameless self bump

its shit in almost every way shape and form

pcpartpicker.com/list/zjmV3F

Will require you to wait till the end of the month but it is better than your other build

>$90 in fans
>$300 mobo
>double price meme ram
>meme cooler

I'm not gonna leave them alone

This build is so fucking meme-ladden I don't know where to start. It's like I'm seeing money thrown down the toilet. You can achieve the same kind of performance for 3/4 or 1/2 of this price.

fuck off luke

The mobo is way too expensive. look to spend 175 or so. Ram is fine. drives are fine. for the money get noctua industrial fans (the black ones) Dont get a 27inch 1080p monitor. the cpu cooler is a meme but should be okay, consider just getting a noctua air cooler instead. Beyond that lots of jelly poorfags are gonna hate. also kill yourself faggot :^)

>meme builds
starting to design my workstation that i'll build later this year

au.pcpartpicker.com/list/Wmnkcc

You going to install gentoo on it?

pcpartpicker.com/list/32tXsJ
Saved you about $300 for essentially the same build with better, quieter cooling.

i might, just to see how fast it builds

pcpartpicker.com/list/Dk4XsJ
Saved another $60 on the PSU

>pcpartpicker.com/list/Dk4XsJ

>GS
>not G2

Idiot

Could someone make a low budget build with a RX480?

I never imagined such a shit build that costs so much

You can save another $100 by getting windows 10 home instead of pro and are you sure you need those fans and the case doesn't come with any?

You could save even more by getting a non-meme cpu cooling fan.

Seconding around >600$ would be nice.

pcpartpicker.com/list/DHVttJ

Here you go, try to get a cheaper monitor as well. Stop getting meme shit dude, also change up the fans, get cheaper ones.

am I the only one that doesn't get the point of swapping out the default case fans?

pcpartpicker.com/list/wcZnTH

That's the case I have and it's actually fucking huge. I use about half of it. Plenty of room if you plan on upgrading to 3 DVD drives, 6 HDs, and 4 SSDs.

It's a good, cheap case. I wish I would've made my current build a mid tower instead of mITX.

Your build suuuuuuuucks
You suuuuuuuuck

I wouldn't add that many fans desu senpai. OP is a retard.

Is it worth it to uprgade from a i5-6400 to a i7-6700k? I'm doing some heavy streaming in 1440p.

Looking to upgrade from my 380 to a Fury X as well.

pcpartpicker.com/list/cMpxFd suggestions? I'm keeping the ssd ram and PSU tho

What the fuck is your purpose for the 3400 Ram?

But of course. Every new build must have a CoolerMastertm branded case. It's just required!
Don't forget the Corsairtm H100c cooler, all the power of water cooling at none of the performance gain!

Cand someone recomend me a upgradeable pc??
I dont have 2k right now
I was thinking in a 6700k and they buy a gpu

>Cand someone recomend me a upgradeable pc??

A prebuilt?

I haven't kept up with hardware recently, is an i5 6600K and GTX 970 still a decent buy for a gaming rig or is it worth waiting?

>prebuild
No i mean the most basic upgradeable system
Im kimda outdated in components
Should i get a 970 or go straight to a new gen one?

budget?

>seagate 3tb
kek

Go for a 1080 if you can. Expensive, I know but it'll be worth it the long run.

It will be outdated at the end of the year when we get cards with HBM2 like the GTX 1080Ti and Vega 10 .

and those cards will be outdated 6 months later

GTX 970 is really not good to pick anymore.
Either AMD R9 390 8GB (Which I personally own) or wait for GTX 1070 (Recommanded).
Why the 8GB? because some games will already use that much GDDR5 and especially if you wanna future proof your build for higher resolution gaming (in crossfire or sli) or if you want to add mods to games which have large texture packs (Skyrim or any other game).

i5 6600K is a good one though. and Since the newer generation Codename Cannonlake will support the same socket (Heard this somewhere) as the Skylake generation (6000).
So if you ever wanna upgrade you still have alot of options.

Mmm let say 1.5k but in argentina... A 970 is around 630 usd, so guess my actual budget

Fuck off

Agreed.

No. Look at prediction charts. AMD and Nvidia.

pcpartpicker.com/list/gxcZxY

don't put games on the SSD

Thanks for the concise advice, I guess I'll wait for the 1070 to roll out.

I need an mATX case that supports 2x 240mm radiators.

Is there any our there?

>puts overpriced high end gaymer shit in literally every slot
>skips on SSD and GPU
Nice one,user.

Pretty sure the Ncase M1 supports that on the side bracket if you use a sfx power supply

>corsair sp140
absolutely shait

What cases are in OP?

Looks great OP jump on it fast before you lose your 60 dollar rebate

more reliable than any of the shit wd makes

Meme build

You want FreeSync or G-Sync and the GPU for one of them. Trust me.

>meme cooler
Man, people who have never tried AIO's don't know what their missing.

Why do people here keep buying Pro-OC hardware for gaming builds? Save all that and get a 1080 instead

Current PC

pcpartpicker.com/list/jkxLr7

rate and h8
pcpartpicker.com/list/RQs6M8

>buys all that
>cheaps out on HDD and mouse

>b-but muh airflow

I almost have everything. I just need the mobo and GPU's.

>500GB SSD
>GTX 1070 added as custom part
Look more closely

Do you guise buy a new mouse, keyboard, headphones, etc everytime when making a new build?

Fuck they found me

Cooler Master MasterCase 5, Pro 5, Maker 5

No, just tired of my old shit. Also headphones were recommended by Sup Forums

DESU I chose that mobo to keep a grey/red theme. I want LED fans :^). Monitor is 2560x1440. I don't wanna fuck with RAM clearance and all that shit that comes with air coolers

Fags like you is why Razer is still in business.

I can't find a G-Sync model I like. Any recommendations?

Thanks for the constructive criticism, faggot

I hate Razer, so I can't agree with you

Black/green is clearly superior.

>RGB LEDs
>16.8 million colors
:^)

Since I'm doing a completely brand new build I bought everything.

How are those headphones?

Treble is a bit too high so I have mine set -2 treble and +2 bass. They're prefect now.

I'm probably gonna buy the HD 598 thanks to a /hpg/ thread

Step down t he 3700k to a 3500k and get a 1080 if its for gaming.
Other than that not terrible as poorfags here suggest.
Obvs don't buy w10 though, just transfer yoir W7/8 license amd upgrade...
And you better be ready to OC like fuck if your buying that cooler.
Also not sure why you need extra case fans..

3700k to 3500k? you mean 6700k and 6500?
Idk how to transfer Win7 license but I have Win7 Ultimate on a laptop that is broken so...
You bet Imma OC this thing.
Case fans cause this build was inspired by this: pcpartpicker.com/b/BMhqqs

Can anyone explain how to transfer Win7 license???

Gentoo

Yeah meant 6500k sorry.
If you don't have a desktop and don't want to pirate, just install the cheapest version w10 i guess

I'll probably buy a key from Kinguin or someshit I guess. I just put the Win10 USB thing on there so the price would be higher on paper in order to set a higher goal for myself, so that when the time comes I have more money than is necessary. Same reason I put FE price on the aftermarket 1070 custom part listed

Also why not stay with the 6700k?

What the fuck is a good hard drive to get? Looking for 2tb+.

It's funny how it's trying so hard to spell "Faggot"

Danke

what is a good mATX mobo to pair with a 6700k , one that wont break the bank.

I would like to see a M2 pcie slot on there for a future expansion once prices come down more.

Please have mercy on me for being a bit outdated, but by friday I will have this PC for less than £400 (tight budget):
FX 8350 Black Edition
16gb DDR3 RAM
R9 270x 4gb
240gb Hyper X Savage SSD
2tb Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm
Corsair 750CX

I plan to replace the R9 270x with something in the £300 range. Maybe a RX 480 8gb model when it comes out.

Have I done OK? I'm not looking at VR or 4k at the moment. Just smooth 1080p to play years of backlogged PC games on with a few new ones too.
I know FX8350 isn't the best CPU, (especially compared to Intel) but from what I've seen its gained some nice performance boosts lately.

Got this from my Steam Guard

Not him, but spending over 2500 dollaroos and not getting Pro series SSD and planning to get a gayming meme motherboard that is retardedly overpriced. Good thing that he actually did was to get an actually good powersupply instead of made in china smoke machine

Also not buying a 1080 instead of a 1070, unless he's planning on getting a 1080 Ti further down the line or something

If your just gaymen, performance difference is negligible. But 1070-1080 is a reasonable jump.
A 6500k with a 1080 beats a 1070with a 6700k ten out of ten times

What's wrong with the kb? I like the Logitech switches and I want lots of RGB LEDs cause I'm a faggot gaymer

how do you kids have this much money to spend on a pc for entertainement purpose?
My first build when i was 18 was like 450 bucks and it served me for 3 years

I've been using a shitty prebuilt PC without a graphics card for years and I'm sick of it. CSGO on lowest settings at 15-20 fps.

I'm also gonna be doing rendering and photoshop work.

I had to use a gt 610.
That card is worse than most intergrated gpus
