I have this crap Iphone I never use, it still works perfectly fine though. It doesn't have calling service or anything though, but it still has a sim card inside. What should I do with it?
Don't want to destroy it or recycle it, and I don't feel like selling it, so I thought Sup Forums would have some cool ideas. Maybe flash a different os? idk
>pic related, it's it

Store it in your ass

this

getting a new screen for it will cost more than it's worth

yeah I figured

You should post a Sup Forums thread asking for help with its passcode

Run a Web server off it?

It's my phone, the passcode is off

New screens can be had for about $10.

My local repair place told me it would be $50 and I don't feel like doing that for a phone I never use anymore

Not exactly. If you are not a idiot and can replace the screen, then you can flip it and get a decent amount for it. 5C screens are about $20-30 on average.

How do people even do this?

Just replace the screen yourself. It's not hard, really. iPhones are among the easiest devices to repair, especially the screen is as simple as it gets.

>asks what to do with a busted phone he/she/it doesn't use anymore
>someone suggests actually fixing it to become a working phone
>stupid fucking person bitches about getting it fixed because he/she/it doesn't use it

I mean really, you should just get the fuck out, now.

>stupid fucking people will be the death of us all

Have the screen replaced and keep it as a collectors item.

No. No they are not. Maybe if you want a terribly shitty cheap Chinese tianama knockoff. I've been in mobile repair for 2 years and good quality screens from US based refurbishers are around $30.

Mengtor is one of them. Etradesupply is another good one too.

>he doesnt know how to repair a phone
what the fuck you do with your life?

this

Use it as an ftp cloud server for when you're out. I'm assuming you have more than 16gb tho.

Jamal got pretty violent with this steal

Do this op that way your always reminded to not drop your phone

There are no publicly released bootrom exploits for this device so flashing anything but the latest signed firmware is out of the question. Replace the screen and sell it. You'll get more money. Or use it as an iPod touch. There's not much else you can do with it.

I use my old iPhone as a dedicated music device in my second vehicle.

You could get the screen fixed for $50? Sell it for $100 and buy a gram of coke and a Raspberry Pi.

Protip: Get a glass screen protector for starters, there, you're screens fixed.
After that, I dunno. I like using old phones as IP cameras. Got one out in my chook house, one in my bedroom, one in my greenhouse. Just run power to them and put them in a ziplock baggie and they're good.
