The driver installer cannot recognize it since it doesn't appear as a disk drive, trying to forcibly upgrade it via the device manager also did nothing. I have no clue why a goddamn disk drive of all things cannot work with Windows 10.
Check the device ID in the properties and search the specific driver on Google

Well there could be also incompatibility with your hardware but if you don't experience issues, leave Windows. The only point of using Windows is games, graphic design tools and maybe some hardware disliking linux or hackintosh or freebsd or whatever else you might want to use.
