All cable companies are shitbags. If you do get consistent speed, expect outages every two weeks.
Funny fios gives me consistent speed and I've had one outage over the past year that lasted two hours.

That's cool. I pay for 50 down, I actually only get 10-15 though. And even better, comcast forced upon me a new modem recently that fucks everything up.

my comcast has such an inconsistent connection. drops out for random 10-30 minute chunks of time during the night.

My roommate forced me to switch over to charter (30mb down, 4mb up) because frontier fucked us over so bad. they charge you at the beginning of the month, knocked out TV cable and phone for over a week after the verizon->frontier company switch (roommate works from the house), and they failed to send a technician on the day they said they would TWICE, never called us to say why they didnt follow up.
