Did you know VIA is still making x86 processors?

What went wrong? Why did they fade away?

>physics scores
Because they're kinda terrible.

Didn't comply with NSA to add backdoor

>mostly graphics benchmark
>the cpus are using different gpus
wat

Yes

Nothing, they just seem to be focusing on embedded markets.

They did 2 tests. One with gtx960, and one with fury nano.

...

doushio~

Do want.

>ABCDEFGHJKLMNPQRTUVWY
Why?

>I, O, S, X, Z missing
WHAT COULD IT MEAN

The have a dual die MCM with 8 cores now.
I think they have an upcoming monolithic die version as well, but I can't say for sure.

FYI China basically owns VIA, and they've been throwing tons of money into it.

>China owns VIA
Formosa Plastic Group isn't Chinese

And the Chair of FPG is incredibly anti-chinese, fucker is old enough to remember when the Communists took over

Republic of China is the only real China!

VIA has been a part of VIA Alliance Semicon for 3 years. They are Chinese. Its not an accident that almost all of their business is in that part of the world now.
Why bother posting when you don't know what you're talking about?

Oh, and nice meme picture. Kid.

Thats like claiming CPA means IBM, Samsung, and GloFlo are the same company.

I would buy this but it's so expensive ;_;

The Chinese are the single largest contributor of capital. VIA's latest chips were directly funded by Chinese money. Its not just called the VIA FC-1080 it is the VIA/Zhaoxin FC-1080.
Guess why they released the "Great Wall" desktop platform? Go on. Guess.

As I already simply stated, China basically owns VIA now.

Nothing went wrong, they're no more irrelevant than they were before, actually they're probably doing even better on that front, I can't remember ever seeing a VIA badge prominently displayed on a retail product before the ITX/netbook craze started surfacing

That said, it's because VIA (or more, Centaur) designs have never been perforners suitable for desktops or non-netbook portables

>x86 processors
There's your problem.

Some are too easily confused with numbers when read by a machine and even people if you were to do something like Z2 or S5 or I1.

Why do they exist then? What's their business

VIA makes a lot of chips for embedded systems, and they sell cheap computer systems in China.
They've been growing these last few years.

Where could I get a VIA CPU and mobo for ~100€ ? I have no fucking idea what I will use it for but I don't have control over what I buy compulsively.

This.
Where to buy in aus? I don't need one but I want one.
