they are mad that there are normal people that know more about programming and technology that basement dwellers.
While main big reddits are full of leftist mods, small technical boards are really good in quality and content.

Did you not know that our idol on Sup Forums, Richard Stallman, is a leftist that was voting Sanders?

Reddit caters to liberals, women and popular opinion > fact. Fuck that place.

Nobody here uses Linux and we want stallman to be hanged.

Because Sup Forums has to have an enemy. It's the same reason they spend so much time on Tumblr but claim to hate it. They have to have someone to fight against, they have to have a place to tell you to fuck off to. It's all part of maintaining the illusion that Sup Forums is actually good. We're all stuck here because the stream of content is just good enough to satisfy our urges but we all secretly know this place is a fucking garbage dump from the ground up. Reddit is too, it's just way easier to filter out the bullshit and custom-tailor your content stream on Reddit, which is why it's still around despite the fact that it's run by petulant children and shills. The small communities keep it alive just like the big ones keep Sup Forums alive.
Believe me, most of the people telling you to go to reddit go there regularly. /r/The_donald is literally a home base for Sup Forums, but we pretend it's not, because it's all part of the game.

It's funny how his picture has been on the front page for at least two years now

All scientists are just lying jews towing the line of the establishment for grant money.
Unless one of them somehow finds a link between abortions and global warming, then the right would probably all simultaneously die from aneurysms because of the confliction.
Alexander Martinez
I know leftists seem to ignore facts and go with the 'feel good's solutions but some of the ideas that they bring are quite logical. I live in New Zealand. We don't pay much taxes, in fact if you were to add your own state and federal tax together you'd likely be paying a lot more. Nevertheless New Zealand still has a lot of socialist programs in place that help a lot of the less fortunate.
For example there's universal health care, students that want to study get a non repayable student allowance, mothers get paid by the government for the number of children they have, people out of work get paid to get back on their feet. A lot of times I really feel sorry for people in the USA and how unfair it is over there compared to where I live in. It's supposed to be a role model for the world yet it makes some of the most shitty decisions.
Alexander Clark
>right winger in charge of denying facts It's funny because a lot of right wingers I know hate GMOs too
Wyatt Ward
The problem is the people on the right have been raised to believe that things like universal healthcare or anything that benefits those less fortunate is a handout and they've been told that any and all handouts are a sign of weakness and they've been told that those handouts are what ruined our economy. The idea of their tax money subsidizing the education of minorities who they view as inferior or healthcare of people they don't agree with bothers them, so they blind themselves to the fact that these programs are always a net positive for society.

Also, fun thing is that countries that are often described as the best countries to live in are often quite influenced by socialism, like Sweden and Denmark.

Sup Forums: nuanced discussion variety of different opinions catalogs constantly deliver new threads as opposed to reddit's 24-48 hour front page cycle reddit: popularity contest shills killing discussion everywhere by buying upvotes all the good subreddits take ages to find since the big ones don't allow niches in any form owned by govt paid shills heavily censored

subreddits are tyrranies, as is the whole thing. At least you can have a trump thread on Sup Forums without being permabanned it's a popularocracy
it doesn't matter what scientists say, the right does whatever corporate money wants
William Morales
Why would I want to participate in a discussion where 90% of people are self-censoring everything they say through a "can't say anything that might get me downvoted" filter and the other 10% get their post silenced instead of discussed?
Seems kinda fucking stupid, and not very conducive to conversation.

Sup Forums is a google botnet.

Modern day Leftists are the equivalent of Hitler's brown shirts. They'll destroy any political gatherings, that don't have their same views, with violence and intimidation. If you support leftists, you support tyranny.
Joseph Hughes
When I say nigger on Reddit the mods get their panties in a bunch
Carson Evans
See this is the difference between leftists and moderates. Notice that this leftists is dumbfounded of the idea that someone would uphold another's idea, even if they disagree with other ideas that person might have. This is what separates Leftist Extremists and Moderates. Leftists will not listen to someone in any shape or form if they have at least ONE idea that differs from their own.
Dylan Reed
Hiroyuki is a Hillary supporter too.
Lincoln Kelly
I can vouch for this. As a pretty textbook liberal who has some key conservative values, it's hard to have a serious discussion with a lot of people about issues like gun control (which I oppose), and abortion (which I support).
Tired of people trying to shove me in the box in the left or the box on the right and being totally content with their little walled garden. Politics isn't fucking black and white and if you can honestly align all of your beliefs with one side of the fence, you're a simple-minded person.

I agree that some subreddits are amazingly good places for discussion but they are often eventually plagued by growing userbase which makes them chaotic. In some cases the voting system leads into idiotic hive mind communities where only the popular opinions get surfaced and rest are forgotten or even downvoted, increasingly so on large subreddits. On small subreddits it isn't a problem as it's easy to just read the comments regardless how they received votes but on larger ones you can only stay for the content that is linked/created there and skip the comment section altogether. There are also subreddits where voting is disabled and you can order posts by other criteria than upboats on all of them.
The problem with Sup Forums and all of the popular boards on Sup Forums is the insane amount of baits and shitposting which make these places extremely frustrating to browse. At least addons let you filter and hide the repeated meme shit you don't like but it won't stop idiots ruining even the more interesting threads with their shitposts and the moderation is imo way too forgiving for it. Then again I don't think many people would have the interest to actively and strictly moderate a cesspit like the large boards here are. I know I wouldn't.
Carson Peterson
Sadly, Sup Forums use to be a place for smart people to act dumb.
Thomas Russell
It comes in waves, for reasons unknown this summer has been bad for kiddy shitposters and assorted morons. Most of thr time the boards are pretty civil and interesting outside Sup Forums and /r9k/. Even Sup Forums is usually focused and lulzy, for the past month though they've been flooded with newfagging, obvious bait that people fall for, and obvious shills that people respond to as if they were genuine
James Young
Yes and no, as I understand it there are regular mods with authority in a single sub reddit, then there are supermoderators there with broad carte Blanche to enforce global policies. The implication is that for along time, willing or not, the supermoderators squelch anything that would get them in political trouble. Thus after a big world event you'll see countless subs have [deleted] for 2000 posts
Matthew White
UCLA supported the KKKs right to assembly. I don't know what the fuck you're on unless you're gonna cherrypick the retarded bernouts or BLM incidents.
Luis Phillips
>cherrypick >Majority of liberals I don't know what universe you're from, but didn't Bernie just nearly go toe-to-toe with Hillary, and only lost probably due to the Boomer vote?
Luke Mitchell
>regular mods with authority in a single sub reddit
reddit only has these.
Luis Price
Assuming you're referring to the admins with "supermoderators", the term is a bit misleading. Moderators are external individuals that the owner of the website put in charge of things. The admins are not moderators, they are the owners themselves. They are part of the reddit company, which is a 500 Million $ corporation. Reddit pays their bills, and it's in their interest to steer it towards profit. Those are the people who can delete anything, can pull the plug on the site tomorrow if they wish so and have to respond to courts if illegal things happen on the site. Like the moderators, they are completely unaccountable to users. That's why it's a tyrrany.
Brody Morgan
That is what I meant, reddit the corporation had moderators as employees that arent restricted to a single sub. They broadly intervene when something that's a political hot potato gets discussed (and yes, almost always and exclusively for the usual San Fran far left politics goals)
Colton Gutierrez
>leftism >not a mental illness

I don't know anymore. This is kinda dumb. People hold these political views and think those who believe opposite them are majority malicious, misguided, or delusional. It's just draining, man. Whatever if youre a lib or a red, really.
Lincoln Jones
>variety of different opinions I don't see this happening much.
>catalogs constantly deliver new threads as opposed to reddit's 24-48 hour front page cycle Looking specifically at Sup Forums, remove the "generals", lol pajeets, lol women, help me fix my ___, help me buy a ___, what programming language should I learn, and finally "how do I hack threads...yeah, then you see some new/original threads.
Ryder Scott
>They broadly intervene when something that's a political hot potato gets discussed
They don't, not anywhere near as much as the Sup Forums mods do.
When the Orlando shooting happened it wasn't reddit admins censoring the story it was users that happened to be mods on their news board.
